I have been overweight and/or obese since elementary school.  I have tried many different things and only had partial success with exercise.  The pace was unsustainable and it only provided me with very modest weight loss over several months.  After seeing family and friends of family getting various forms of gastric bypasses I figured that was the way to go but it scared me.  When I discovered the LapBand I got excited but shame would keep from making the call for several years.  I am now going through the pre-op phases and am getting excited for a surgery date in the early summer of 2010 (if everything goes according to plan).

I have posted on this since the very beginning, I had the lap band for a little over three years when I decided to start running.  During my running the band slipped and I opted to have it removed.  The surgeon just wanted to revise it.  I was cocky and arrogant and thought I had it together.  This was in 2013.  Now, in 2016 I am almost back to my pre-surgery weight.  I am disgusted and ashamed with myself. 
 
I am now scheduled for the Sleeve on November 15, 2016.  I am cautiously optimistic but looking forward to meeting my old self again and just being healthier and more vital.
