I woke up with a catheter. Was not a big deal. I had a morphine iv pain pump. Hit the button for iv morphine just before. The nurse took it out at 0600 the next day. When it's in it may feel like you have to urinate a little bit. It was not at painful at all. Only took a second to for the nurse take it out. A ballon in your bladder holds the Cather tube in place. When that is deflated the Cather comes out easily.

October Sleevers-How Ya Doin?
chad2rad replied to Holly5.3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Wore a pair of jeans this weekend, even a little loose that I could not wear for more than a year pre op. Was a great feeling. -
For those you following along: my wife, jenny, and I are still separated since just before my VSG Oct 8, but hopefully we are moving closer to reconciling. It was really good to see her tonight. The kids were pretty still distant. Sure it is awkward for them. Just wanted to ask u to keep us in your thoughts. Thanks in advance.

October Sleevers-How Ya Doin?
chad2rad replied to Holly5.3's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Surgery 10/08. Including pre op down 50. Feel much better. Cleared for regular food as i tolerate. Seems much easier now. Maybe less hunger, I drink water of make myself wait. I did not at first. I was afraid of getting hungry idk. Certainly more restriction. Been walking, joined a gym this week. Still tired at times. Need more sleep. -

Just wanted to share today is my one month post op anniversary. I am down exactly 50 lbs today !! What a gift! Spent the evening at the beach with good friends. We had grilled salmon and salad. I passed on the garlic bread and carrot cake. Feels great to be "in charge" of my health and making good choices.

don't always have time to make something ahead of time for lunch when I head out the door for work. . Wondering what frozen meals you like best. Especially if they are lower carb and decent protien? Smart ones, healthy choice, kashi, lean cuisine?
