I am going out with friends tonight. Cleared to eat Regular food post op. Any good choices to order post op at Cantina Laredo? First time, I feel lost with big tex mex dishes. Thanks

Thanks y'all. I ordered a grilled fajita chicken and cilantro greens salad. It was just right and little carbs. I ate some chicken, black Beans and salad field greens. No one asked why I left so much. Not that I cared, but it was successful. When I was full, just stopped. Thanks. Love this sleeve. Dressing was really light.

Brilliant! I'll think about it and respond. -
The hardest part is toughening up your backside to the seat. It's gets more conditioned to it after a few rides.

I have not moved back home yet but I am going to spend the afternoon with wife and kids. I ate lite this am and took a long walk for exercise. We are going to have turkey and mashed potatoes. I'll eat that and may be a green veggie. I plan to bring a snack I can eat, but plan to keep it just in case. Since we have been separated for 2 months, just trying to enjoy the day and sunshine. It's 68 degrees and a nice fall day.

Tomorrow is Thanksgiving here in the US. What game plans do you have to make this a successful holiday? What do you plan to eat? Or not eat? Dealing with family stresses? Exercise/Activity? Please share!

Okay I'll start. First of all, I plan to go for a long brisk walk in the morning to start the day off right. With some exercise out of the way, I plan to eat a good breakfasts with some decent protien. Scrambled eggs seem to stay with me. My wife and I are going to cook together. May have a snack but since we are going to eat dinner early, should be able to wait. Having turkey, mashed potatoes and green veggie and or salad. . Going to skip any stuffing, high carbs. Cooking light had some good recipes we have used for years and Ellie Krieger on food Network redesigns food into healthy versions with great taste. My wife is going to make a sweet potato pound cake for dessert. I want to save a little room for a taste or two. Then at night we may kids to a movie. No popcorn, just my Water bottle.

You Know You've Been On Liquid Protein Too Long, When:
chad2rad replied to Strangefruit's topic in Post-op Diets and Questions
I had to fart in public yesterday because something gave me extra gas. Prayed more than once, no SHARTS please! They were answered. -
To decrease overeating, before you overfill your "balloon," pause and take a deep breath. Ask yourself, "Is it really worth feeling like I'm going to pop or would I rather feel good when I'm done eating?" Michelle May, M.D. www.AmIHungry.com

Today was out shopping with a friend for some early holiday stuff. I knew I had to get some new work pants soon. My pants have gotten seriously baggy and uncomfortable since surgery on 10/08. Even still, I felt a feeling of impending doom as we approached the mall. Heart racing, past memories and some negative vibes. Luckily I overcame and found a great sale and the fact that that I went down 2 pant sizes this month. Actually prep op I was maxing out that invisible waist extender, so I'll count it a little more. My pants fit great. I looked so much smaller. Felt awesome. Alone in my dressing room I saw the victory in this. It was very emotional, my old fears were unfounded. And the new me starting to emerge. Just wanted to share.
