Hey, Just got insurance approval and I am scheduled for October 8th. First case, so I have to be there at 0500. Very glad for this mid life second chance. Look forward to meeting ppl here. I am trying to eat healthy foods, limiting alcohol and carbs. Two weeks preop I have to stick to lowfat Protein meats, green veggies and Protein shakes only. Then 24 hrs before surgery, liquids only. My MD does not have a weight loss requirement preop.

I am do happy for you! I met again with my doc today too. Looks like I will not be sleeved until Monday, Oct 8. He has to be out now in late September, and said he wants to be in town while I recover. 40 days or so is not that bad.... I have insurance approval. Hey I have my surgical appt with surgeon tomorrow to do history and physical and pick a date. I am looking at Sept 24 too. Will know soon.

If u do take it, go to bed right away and stay there until u fall asleep!

I have eaten, had convos with my wife and do not remember the next day. I thought I went to bed early, but my wife said no, I was up for another 3 hrs or so... No more Ambien for me.

Reminded daily how much this surgery is needed. Cut the grass today and did okay this am, but found myself beat, hurting and short of breath while grocery shopping at Walmart. My endurance is shot. Had to take a break and sit for quite a while. Went to Plato's Closet with wife and kids and thought maybe in six months or more I can buy something here, too. So done with life on hold!!! Preop is Tuesday. Appreciate u guys. Chad
