Thank you Doctor for taking the time to read my question. Last year July I had my lapband placed. I am a low BMI bander. I have lost almost 60 pounds and am 5 lbs out from my goal weight of 139 lbs. My fill port is now located smack dab in the middle between my xiphoid and umbilicus. The surgeon that did my lapband wants the plastic surgeon to avoid the port site all together (not sure why). That would mean only dissecting up to just past my umbilicus. If that is the case, will I get a good result from a tummy tuck? I have quite a bit of "flab"- loose skin- above the umbilicus. I will be meeting with my PS again before my surgery (planned for May) and discussing it further at that time too, but am very concerned about this issue, ergo the question. thanks so much.

Hello Everyone. I am having a TT in May. I am sure if I should get defilled or not before surgery. Does anyone have any advice or can share their experience with defilling or not defilling the band. thanks -
how are you all getting elective plastic surgery paid for by your insurance company??

I am curious.... I am getting a full TT in May and was wondering how much the excess skin that is removed would weigh. For those that have had a TT, how much did your weight change preop to post op? thanks

Does anyone know if the PS do anything with the port or tubing at the time of surgery with a tummy tuck? Is it moved? Has anyone had less than satisfactory results because their surgeon doesn't dissect up to the port? Is your port more visible after a TT? thanks T

I didn't know the port came in different sizes! I wonder if I can get my PS to revise my port at the time of surgery....
