I don't think that I should be doing this wedding thing! My dumb ass was drying to save $ on the engagement party since the actual wedding is a little over $16,000! So instead of a catered dinner I came up with Desserts & cocktails since my daughter is a pastry chef! I'm planning the damn menu and now I want cheesecake and tiramisu! Oh, and lets not forget the Sangria!

Awsome Point, Tina! WE ARE ALL HONEST ON HERE, TO EACH OTHER AND MOST IMPORTANTLY, TO OURSELVES! I think that if we aren't honest then we aren't accountable and we all need to be realistic about what we can, can't, are willing and not willing to give up!

Aw, tina, don't get teary - isn't this what you got the band for - I can't wait to be not hungry and not eat LOL. Seriously, I hope it gets better for you !!! I wouldn't do good with the self adjustments either! So, I was thinking - is there any way on the kaiser website to see pictures of the surgeons work? I so don't want a hack job on my tummy cuz I have every intention of flaunting it when I get thin!!! I fully intend to be in a ba-kini as soon as humanly possible - LOL.

OK so the telemetry band is the wireless band they were telling us about - dont like that idea -I don't want no mechanical parts to break down or batteries to die -
  18. Glad you joined in the forum! Stick with those ladies and they can guide you thru anything you want to know. I'm still a newbie myself - you're not barging in!

  19. Desperate1

    Kaiser Richmond Pre-op

hahaha - Temp Tubby you are not barging in - we gossip and gab AlOT - jump on in with whatever and we will jump on board! Just got caught up but I still haven't googled that new band - will get on that in a minute. LaChica - I ready your post about the dead weight - that is too funny - the easiest weight you'll ever lose LOL But more importantly, you quit smoking -woo hoo - from what I understand that is very hard to do!

You need one of the nurses to weigh you and log it in. contact your doctor and see if he can arrange it thru one of the nurses that start at 6:30!

Yeah, two new groupies!! Welcome LaChica & Temp Tubby. LaChica - I really depends on the person and how much weight you need to lose before the suregery and how diligently you stick to the diet and lose the weight. Once you lose the weight it's quick - like 3 to 4 weeks! I went to Orientation on 5.12.09 and my suregery date is 9.14.09 so about 4 months. It could have gone sooner but I stalled on the weight loss for a whole flippin month - grrr! Temp Tubby - oh so not sure about bypassing your primary care physician. With Kaiser, you can't! but I'm not sure about blue cross/blue shield - I would suggest you contact them and ask for a referral to a bariatrics surgeon - all you need is a 1 doctory to say it's necessary! It is possible to have a surgery date by the end of the year if you step on it! Call your carrier ASAP. I have no idea what the telemetry band is! but you can bet I'm gonna google it now LOL

Oh, and I'm having such a hard time with the not drinking for an hour after I eat - I just want to rinse my mouth. Oh, well - I'll be home in a few hours and can brush my teeth then.

    Kaiser Richmond Pre-op

Go Nicole! Represent for the fat chicks - hahahahahahaha You are so NOT fat anymore so you just need to get over all that. I'd take your 16's but I'm trying to get out of 16's & 18's and into 14's before surgery! If I have too many cute things that I can fit into I won't want to lose anymore weight LOL. I'm jealous that you can run that far! I will be starting back up as soon as I drop another 30lbs - do you really think i should wait? How much harm can I really do if I don't wait?

I DO, I DO! Reggie, I have a pair of Sevens in a size 18 you can have - they are too long for me :sneaky: so they should be perfect for you! I'll bring them to you next weekend AND HOW DARE YOU SAY YOU'LL PAY FOR THEM! No such thing! I will look and see what else I got for you. So funny cuz I thought I had already gotten rid of them but when I was looking for jeans this morning I came accross em'.
