Hey Nicole - did i read a while back that you have Alopecia? I know another gal that has that and she is completely bald! doesn't even have eyebrows - she wears the cutest human hair wigs and has her eyebrows tatoo'd (sp?) on. Anyway it is important to find out the cause because there are so many different causes - once you know the cause you can determine a treatment. If you do, in fact, have Alopecia, it's not a matter of protein intake or anything like that.

I got the jeans on ebay - don't want to spend alot of money because I hope I won't be in a 14 for long LOL so I just put in jeans in the search and when it pops up I chose size 14 & used. $30 including shipping for two pairs

My size 14s came today - Im bummed the seven jeans fit - tight but fit - that defeats the purpose. The american rags are way too small so that's a good thing - those are my new goal jeans~

Oh, goodness, I forgot who asked - Nicole, maybe - protein drinks that we have are premier nutrition - we get them at costco - they are 11 oz (larger than most) 160 cal, 30g protein, 1g sugar - 5g carbs but 3g fiber so only 2g net carb. 3g fat. Chocolate flavor - when they are cold they are the bomb! Premier Nutrition - Diet, organic, and low carb, protein bars, protein powders, protein supplements and health supplements

GO TAMRA! between you and Heather, fat cells don't stand a chance hahaha. Proud of you! Heather you are an inspiration! You sure do aim for the stars. You will be be ready by the end of the year, I know it! Jes, we can carpool - my hubby isn't coming with, is yours? Saturday is the day he's with his son. Let me know the name of that cream so I can get on it ASAP - my tummy is so so white LOL Riley, I listen to the CD/download - I love that womans voice. I would really appreciate it if I could wake up from surgery in the "green Zone" What are my chances of that LOL. I already have the skin apron. Hope to get that removed one day but my biggest problem is my inner thighs - that's where I've always carried alot of my weight. Pammie - Car insurance should NEVER be about the cost. It should ALWAYS be about the coverages. You really need to look at the exclusions! Like my girl who's husband ran into the house they were renting. Even though they have property damage coverage Geico has a rental property exclusion so they won't cover it - Farmers and Travelers WOULD"VE covered it. Very Important insurance lesson ladies - always look at your exclusions on every policy!

Yeah, congrats Jes! woo hoo! we won't tell ur hubby that we knew before him - ur secret is safe with us! Welcome back Pammie Tina - I so wish I was there - i would have died laughing! I know I won't back out - this is my last chance at a good HEALTHY future. I know there will be some little scars but nobody on here has had Dr. Fisher for their surgery so I just don't know how skillfull he is with that damn scalpal. The normal scars won't bother me but I just don't want some hack job LOL

Have fun Tina! rock on Tamra! And you were worried you couldn't do this LOL Hi Chica, Don't even trip - I ask questions ALL the time and that's what these ladies are here for. I havn't been banded yet - my date is 9/14 and yeah, I've been thinking alot about how this is going to change my life! I really want to chicken out but these ladies keep me on track! I'm not afraid of the surgery or anything like that but I'm worried about the scars and that I won't be able to hang with my husband so to speak - he likes to go out to eat and things like that - he's in good shape though! My biggest fear is never being able to eat till I'm full again - like I will never feel satisfied (spoken like a true food addict - LOL). However, I know that this is what I need and It's nice to be able to get up from the table without feeling sick or like I can't move hahaha, Mixed feelings about it all.

Oh, Crap - my pills say SR on them - I will have to change that prescription. Hi Candi! Long time no hear from :w00t: so, you think there's a link between being fat & depression LOL seems we've all been on some type of anti depressant at one time hahahaha

I'M SO CONFUSED NOW Ok, so I've been on wellbutrin for about 8 months now. I haven't gained any weight on it nor have I lost - with the exception of these last few months. I don't know if it's an SR version or not - Heck I don't even know what you mean by SR. Liz looked at my medical record when i was there and said I was fine and Dr. Fisher didn't say anthing about it when i told him I was on well butrin. What do I do Riley? I too lost my favorite cousin to depression - he shot himself in the head in his back yard while his mother and brother were in the house - CRAZY CRAP! He and I were only 4 months apart and our mothers were sisters so we grew up together - very close. SAD! I feel your pain and understand your rant which brings me to my next question: What after surgery care? Is there another class I'm suppose to be taking UGH! I thought you guys were my after surgery care LOL

Tamra - i think it depends on the insurance carrier - they all have their own underwriting guidelines & rules. Kaiser doesn't seemt to mind - You are already in the program so it really doesn't matter now. They'd rather you get the help you need - trust me!
  24. Desperate1

    Kaiser Richmond Pre-op

Are you sure, tina? I was on a different medication before this one and I gained 10lbs in 2 weeks! So my Doc switched me to Wellbutrin because he said it has the opposite effect. That most people lose weight on wellbutrin. I will google the side effects and see if I can find a forum on it. I won't give it up either way though - I like not feeling like i want to cry all day LOL I have a girlfriend that is a pharmacist so I will call her for the liquid tylenol - is there a difference between that and the liquid tylenol that kids take? Damn cat won't stay off my keyboard - :tt2:

Nicole, Sangria is like an upscale version of Jungle juice - made with wine. It's yummy and full of calories! Tamra & Tina - ladies I use to cry at the drop of a dime but I chalk it up to fatigue and lack of quality of life. I started taking wellbutrin and i don't cry anymore. Tamra, I clearly pointed out to liz that I was ok and not depressed when I had to tell her about the meds and she said it didn't matter. they operate on depressed people all the time LOL - so go see somebody if you need to. As long as you are clear that you are aware that this surgery doesn't fix your problems then you'll be clear for banding. I am having a horrible day with food today - not my usual self! I havent had one of these I just gotta eat days since I started this crusade but today I feel like I just can't "put the fork down" as Robin would say LOL. I guess it's kind of a good thing because it has further cemented the fact deep within me that I NEED THIS BAND. for a minute there i got dilusional and figured if I'm losing the weight without the band I don't need it LMAO - I've been here before hahaha. OOh peanut patty blizzards at dairy queen - damn commercials! I'm due for my depo shot tomorrow and I always get like this right before - crampy and cravings kick in but I can usually ignore the cravings - not so much this time! Jes, we need to get together and shop for this thing - I'm suddenlty at a loss as to what to get. Protein shots - the clear ones from costco. broth, popsicles but I can't live on that forever! Ladies, we may need your shopping lists. We should definately get one together that Heather can post on our group site to make it easier for us newbies. Ah, one thing I did purchase to prepare was 2 pairs of jeans in a size 14 LOL got them on ebay for 30 bucks for both pairs including shipping! a pair of sevens and a pair of american rags. It's fun to have something to work towards.
