Any news on Maria yet? Pammie - work it girl! wish i could get on a roll. I hope at some point the garment would get too big but I lose at a snails pace so it will be a while. It is suppose to help with flabby skin so i feel the sooner you get it the better - I'm real soft & Jiggly in the mid section - and thighs, oh and arms and, well, everywhere, but it is what it is. Wish I could go tonight but it's my anniversary - 14 years seems like a really long time but it feels like it went by fast. So post ops - I need help/advise - I don't stay full/satisfied for longer than 2 hours so I'm wanting to eat all the time - how did you get thru the bandster hell till you got your first fill and is 3 months the norm to wait for the first one or is The Doc just twisted? Ash - waiting for orientation is so exciting. Then it's all about the goal weight. I never even thought about the actual surgery until I reached goal then I was like "holy crud" am I really gonna do this? I had a great phone call from Donna right before surgery that just helped me right along - PS: "THANKS DONNA IF I FORGOT TO SAY THAT BEFORE" - anyway - this is a real exciting time! Isn't there some annual LBT convention (preferably a cruise) somewhere we can all vacation too? I'm guessing the Body Magic under the bakini isn't such a good idea since nobody gave me the go-a-head so I promise not to do it if we all cruise hahahaha -

Heather, my ticker lies - I'm 192! but can't bring myself to up it. once you start on regular food after surgery the weight loss stops and, in my case, went in reverse. But I've been holding steady for a couple weeks. Plateau, I guess and I haven't been eating as well as I should - sticking to 3-4 small meals a day but just not always the best choices LOL. Jes - I wasn't in a 32. I was in a 34 but they were trying to tell me it was too big because it was on the very last hook and that I SHOULD BE a 32. Like I said i was squeezed into that damn 34 so I think the 32 would be a serious stretch! I'm not smaller than you I just carry most of my weight in my bottom half and thats not where they base the size LOL -

Ah, I think I need the number of your lady - I was looking at the one with the removable staps. The ladies i met at the bridal show were mother and daughter - the daughter just had a baby.... sound like the same peeps? My life keeps interfearing with my weight loss! I can't make it to the support group tomorrow because it's my 14th wedding anniversary and guess what - yep - we're going out to EAT! Grrr!!! -

Hey Pammie - that's why I was trying to find out what kind of band we have. I know it's an Allergan because it says so on my band in the picture I have of it LOL but I can't find anything on the type of allergan band it is. when I called Richmond I was told i could find out when I see The Doc on the 15th. MARIA.... YOU GO GIRL... CAN'T WAIT TO HEAR FROM YOU TOMORROW!! Reggie, my love, I could use that reality check from The Doc cuz I'm right there with you - going the wrong way on the weight loss highway! I'm ready to call Jenny. figure I can kick with Valerie and be on TV in a Bakini (with my body magic girdle underneath) in not time. Care to join me? Donna - I just want to let you know that I'm not speaking to you - you had fun without me and I am suppose to be your Italian Twin! WT..? Still love you though and I will get over it hahahahaha Liz-zard - I'm on FB and I'm gonna PM you my info BUT... NOBODY ON FACEBOOK KNOWS I GOT BANDED SO MUMS THE WORD. I THINK MOST OF US ARE HUSH HUSH ABOUT IT ON FB SO WE NEVER MENTION IT - CAPICE? Nicollie - I got 1 txt when I got home from the bridal show - I had left my phone - my salvation - at home on the charger - I figured by 9pm you had already left  Oh, and when I set my 3 month appt up with The Doc I did NOT make an appt with Robin. I don't really need a nutritionist that doesn't understand my body (she didn't believe that I had stuck to the 1200 cal diet and gained weight - but The Doc did) so.... I was told that I do NOT have to meet with her - I'd rather work with a food shrink.... How do I get referred to one or do I even need to be referred? Can I just call the psych dept and schedule it?? Jewel - and anybody else in the area or who wants to roll out... the girdle lady is come to bridezillas to fit us all (the wedding party) and I told her there might be a few others - this is just a "private show" so to speak and you can buy if you want. I volunteered and was the live model at the bridal fair - big surprise there - but the rest of the bridal party was to "ashamed" or embarassed to try one on in front of everybody so she's coming to the "V". she will be bringing a bunch of em in all sizes - Hey, those things really do take the pressure of the lower back. You all shoulda seen me - they sqeezed my ass in a 34 but then said it was too big and I needed a 32 - when I say sqeeze - I mean it took two of them to get me in the damn thing! SQUEEZED! so, if nothing else, should be fun to watch them try to get me in a 32 like a sausage LOL. Cpt. Mo, Tamra... you down? suppose to also help the skin shrink back after having a baby - i assume the same for WLS... I mean a pray it's the same hahahaha Wow, is it really only 9:00 - I'm so tired it feels like midnight. sweet dreams all! -

Liz-zard - you obviously "skim" thru these like I do when there are so many pages to catch up on - I usually go back late night and catch up - I was at Safeway last night and my car got broken into - Bridezilla's step daughter was with me and all her stuff was taken including her HOUSE KEYS so I was concerned and filed a police report - especially since bridezilla is the po-po - she's big on following the letter of the law - quite anal about it actually~! -

Well, don't let me use the traveling girdle cuz I'll just get it stolen! Pammie - the txt last night was just explaining why I missed your call - police station and all.... They really don't care but I get it, how can they find these people if they don't want to take prints or anything. No response to my "do-over" demand yet... WTF? I want a "do-over" Liz-zard - I just might take you up on that offer - somebody has got to control bridezilla - One day you guys got to meet her so you can just see what I'm talking about LOL Can the professional photo shoot be al fresco? After my boob job and tt - You think I can get away with wearing that girdle thing under my ba-kini - think anybody would notice if I got it in the "nude" color??? -

Hi Ladies & Gent, Way too much to read but i was able to skim. short for time but... Heather... Just love you - I wish I could give bridezilla a swift kick in the arse but she whould take me down in a heartbeat! thats one rough 5'8" Oakland Police officer! the bridal show wasn't too bad but we couldn't stop there - first - I forgot my phone! the bridal show was on till 4 - but then we had to go to Santa Clara (bridal show was in Burlingame) where the wedding is being held at freedom hall. them we had to scout out hotels and try to get room blocks and then restaurants for the rehersal dinner and try to figure out menus and discounts (alot of places give discounts to police officers - hmmm? I think a change in career is in order!) Anyway - then dinner and back home at 9 pm - hear that... NINE PM! Last night I picked up Bridezilla's future step daughter cuz she wanted to spend the night with me - got her stuff, went to safeway to pick up some lunch food for her - was in there 15 minutes and when I came out... Car had been broken into and all Mikhaela's stuff was stolen - her homework, school books, back back, ipod, camera, shoes, underwear and house keys - so depressing bucause now I gotta come up with 500 to replace all that crap because I feel so bad. I AM BITING MY TOUNGUE BECAUSE I AM SO CRANKY STILL! Ladies, YOU ALL LOOK SO GREAT and because I'm in such a foul mood I'm angry with you all for having a good time without me! I demand a "do-over"! I didn't get to meet Pat or Captain Mo! Didn't get to see Riley Jane and it's been forever!!! Riley - PM me your address so i can send you the $ for the book!!!!!! You look wonderful. Jewel - don't steel my book! Oh, and I found a great body shaper but it's 170.00! Maria - if I recall, tomorrow is the big day, right? So excited for you! REGGIE - YOU SAY WHEN AND WE WILL HOOK UP! I WILL EVEN RISK MY MATRON OF HONOR JOB AND CANCEL ANY AND ALL APPTS TO BE THERE. the doc is a no nonsense kind a guy! I am not losing ANY weight - only eating 3 times per day, on my treadmill (C25K) 3 days per week and NADA! I have zero restriction - don't feel my band at all - I even tried to not chew well to see if anything gets stuck but nothing! I think somebody stole it!! Anyway, now I'm in a rush to purchase an ipod so I can have it for Mikhaela when she gets home from school so I'm out the door - I will catch up with you ladies later Pammie, did you get my txt last night? -

Hi Pammie - yeah, I'm tired of this whole thing - I don't understand this process she's going thru - I really don't want to go to this bridal show tomorrow - we've already booked and paid the deposits for the venue, and all the vendors (florist, caterer, photographer & bakery) She already bought her dress and we have all gotten ours except for me because I plan on being smaller by next July but not sure how much smaller - SO, WHY DO WE NEED TO GO TO THE BRIDAL SHOW? There is nothing left to get/do? -

Maria - I'm here - been in a BAD mood so I'm gonna keep it short cuz I tend to have a little bit of a potty mouth when I get like this! Nicole - I love the pics girl. You look amazing and I can only hope to get there sooner than later Tamra - cabbage soup diet? stay close to the bathroom LMAO Captain Mo' - I am so ready for a fill too but Doc Fisher said 12 weeks! UGH!! I've gained 3lbs so I started running again this week and back to the atkins fat fat but I can't seem to stick with it. LET ME JUST MENTION BEFORE I SIGN OFF THAT I WILL ABSOLUTELY NEVER EVER BE A MATRON OF HONOR AGAIN! AT LEAST NOT FOR HITLER!!!!!! -

Hey all.... Just checking in! KIM... GOOD TO HEAR FROM YOU - WISH YOU'D COME AROUND MORE!!! WE ALL HAVE OUR SLUMPS AND WE ARE ALL HERE TO PICK EACH OTHER UP! Oaklander.... I'm 5'3" and 40yrs old - my PCP just wants me to get to 170 but I'm shooting for 150. I don't really have any health issues other than Asthma & Cronic Migraines. Not too much to do with my weight - oh but I do have a mild sleep apnea but have been like that my entire life - even when I was a tiny 5year old so, again, not really related to my weight so he feels comfortable with 170 - just below the obese range. Truly, it's your call as long as your labs are good. I talked to Nicole recently - she cant make it saturday. she has to work. Jewel, Thanks for yesterday... Just saw your post about purping... I do it so much now but never before I got the band. As you saw yesterday it just came out mid sentence LOL. Monique... How was the concert? TAMRA - WELCOME BACK GIRL! 1200 Cal... Atkins... Whatever gets the weight off! Tina - Glad you're feeling better... Hubby callin me - gotta run but so much more to talk about so I'll be back later.... Smooches all -
Well, some of us are gonna go to the Santa Rosa Support Group to meet up with Riley & Pat at 10 am then we will all meet at 1 in Vallejo - not sure where in Vallejo- The pier most likely so we can walk

Riley - I don't know crud about alcohol but I can help with the chocolate chasers LOL Jes - no plans - just downloaded a new C25K Hip Hop program tonight - the one I was using was just garbage - music with no words and weird music at that - not even upbeat or motivating so I thought I try again with this one. gotta do something cuz I'm going in the wrong direction! 12 weeks is way too long to wait to get a fill!!!!!! No advise on the girdle cuz I just let it all hang out - I'm all about comfort! ash - my stepdaughter use to work for torrid and she likes the spanks too. So, what is everybody doing tomorrow? -

Hey ladies & gent Riley - call your book "Alcohol with Lap Band" Oaklander... Welcome to the group! You will get weighed and that will be your starting weight - wear heavy shoes & eat BFast first. DON'T BE LATE OR THEY WILL NOT LET YOU IN. You will find out who your surgeon is and get your first appt date by the end of orientation. Be sure to put that you are completely open on the questionnaire they give you - that way you will get the earliest appt available. Liz & Nicole just had orientation and had their surgeon appts and hour later!! I have THE Doc Fisher and have to say that he is the best (compared to what others have said) with getting all the gas out - I had zero pain after surgery - and my incisions/scars look really small & straight! Warning: He is a little more harsh on the initial weight loss requirement but it's all worth it. All the Doctors are good at what they do but some have different specialties - If you read back you will see that I had big issues about the scars because some I've seen aren't too pretty but The Doc does a really good job with that. I haven't had a fill yet with him - oh, and he typically puts in 4cc's at surgery - except for me cuz of my big ass hernia he had to fix (swelling). FYI: All of the surgeons push/advocate for the RNY/Bypass surgery so do your research, be sure the band is what you want and let them know that! -

Good Job Tamra - so glad to have you back... I REALLY NEED A HAIR CUT & STYLE THAT WON'T MAKE MY FACE LOOK SO FAT! Who's good at that? Just looked at pics with my cousins last night and they are scary! I've lost 40lbs and it doesn't show at all - Don't mean to be so negative ladies & gent but seriously - I HATE LOOKING AT PICTURES OF MYSELF - JUST MAKES ME CRY! Here is a pic of me & my cousin Denise, the one Jes thought was me in the old picture (look at my fat ass face!) BTW Riley - very impressive alcohol breakdown! -

Surgeon not having me stay overnight...Should I be worried?

It all depends on the kind of job you have. I had surgery on Monday and on Thrusday I catered a party - I SHOULD NOT HAVE - but I was pre commited. Have it on a friday and take the whole following week off! You will be sore for a couple of days in the port area! -
