I am so happy for you and proud of you for doing it!! How is it? Are you having anything strange? What does it feel like?! How are your scars doing? I hope you are well!

Congrats on your Surgery DAte! We are rooting for you! I'll be there to make sure you are OK! BTW I had mine on thursday and was back at work on tuesday, i wish i would have had more time just because it was uncomfortable to be in pants and suits, but besides that i could have gone back monday because i have a desk job, i just took a pillow with me cause i kept bumping myself on the desk. I told me fiance that i wasn't allowed to drive for a while so he took me there, i think driving was difficult for me, but the dr.s office doesn't give you any restrictions!

Hi Marissa,
I hope you are doing well I noticed your name and picture dropped off the 'Banded Around Burbank' social group, and I was wondering if your still on this site at all? I hope you can make it to the Lap Band specific support group on the 4th Wed. of each month (9/23 this month at PSJMC Hopes or Lockheed at 6:30). I hope your Mom is doing well, too!

Hey Nooshie!
I am doing great! I have lost 25 pounds in 9 weeks since when I started my Two week Pre-op diet. That is an average of 2.7 per week, so I am right on track. I had a fill, but to tell you the truth, I probably could stand having a little more in there. I still feel like I can eat a good amount. ALTHOUGH, my hunger has practically disappeared. I don't have to snack, I just eat when I am hungry, I get full and I stop. It is soooo nice. I walk every day and I will start my intense workout soon, so it should get a lot better!
Your's is coming soon!

Hey you! So good to hear from you! How are you doing? Hows your weightloss progressing. Do you love the band? I'm going for cardiac clearance on thursday. I hope I pass. I'm getting excited!
Is there a meeting tomorrow night at St. Joe's. I am going to get serious about going!
love,

Thanks! Actually my primary care cancelled my surgery the night before and Dr. Quilici rescheduled it for tomorrow (7/9). So I am headed to the hospital at 6am tomorrow. Yay!! How are you doing? Hope you are feeling well.

Hi Marissa,
Thanks for the note. Hope you have a great birthday! So sorry we'll miss each other again. I actually may not make it myself to tomorrow's meeting. I've got appointments booked all day. My surgery is next Tuesday, July 7th at 9:30am. I can't wait!! I had my nutrition class today...I was the only one with a date of the 7th. everyone else was scheduled further out - most were almost 2 weeks out.
Anyway, hope all is well. Talk to you soon.

Jennie!
I just was searching 'burping' and I came across a thread where you said you were burping alot. This isn't the internal gas from surgery anymore, it is every single time I take a sip. Are you still burping? Jeri said that it didn't happen to you guys, I'm confused. Anyway, I just wanted to know if you know a trick to make it stop, I keep thinking it is because i am taking little sips and my throat is too wide because I don't have tonsels... so when it goes down there is air trappage... anyway... let me know!

Hi Andrea!
Looks like I am going to miss you again and again... But I do want to wish you luck! Read through my experience that I posted in the Marissa's Surgery Day thread because there is some helpful stuff. Like make sure you ask for the non-narcotic pain killer because there was another lapband with me who was held back by her narcotic one. And make sure you try out the Loritab way before the surgery because it made me naseous and I vomited after. Anyway, where is your surgery so I can try to come visit you? I am very excited for you and can't wait til you are all banded and feeling great! Good Luck and welcome to the group!
