Iv'e lost weight!! Doing pretty good now feeling much better. I went to the Drs Wed and I noticed a lady was there for an interview...didn't appear she would fit in but who knows...but I didnt know she was interviewing to take Billies place :omg: well maybe its beacuse Billie got a much greater job so we should all be happy for her.....boooooohoooo though!! ~Chantay

Hi all, I am finally feeling better I look forward to feeling a little better more and more each passing day. I am tired right now so will keep this short and go lay down. I felt more uncomfortable on day one and two then anything. It felt like I had a 8lb bowling ball in the left side of my abdomen. It was terrible to try to sleep. I can finally sleep some in bed mostly on my right side of course but then my right arm and hip hurts. Im just waiting to get back to normal. Oh while Im thinking about it whats it like to get the staples removed Im not looking forward to the potential pain or whatever. I am trying to get in all my liquids noticing my pee is a little darker than usual. I am just taking it easy on everything. I went from 1/4 cup of yogurt to a half a cup twice today and then I am eating some potatoe soup now. then in awhile I will drink some more sugar free pink lemonaide stuff. I can start cottage cheese string cheese and beans Thursady....but may try it Wed night! Im looking forward to that! I havent really missed the foods but I am looking forward to when I can eat some real stuff. TTYS ~Tay

Hi everyone Im finally feeling "better" this is day 3. And I honestly was regretting my decision when I got home after surgery...I was feeling horrible!! I will update more when I can I just wanted to say Im ok thanks for all the thouhts and prayers! ~Chantay oh PS I had to go to my PCP yesterday for BP meds and I am down 7lbs from my highest weight! That was at my pre op appt 5 weeks ago. I bet I lost it in the last 3 days.

:clap2: YEAH MARY YEAH!!! I knew you would get approved!! I actually wrote on her last night but the stupid things said I wasnt signed in even though I was and when I clicked submit I lost what I wrote so I got frusterated and signed off:( Anyhow I am betting youll have surgery by the end of May... I got in to see Dr Hoehn right away but I actually had to wait almost 2 weeks since I had to get approved to be off work. It will go fast so be prepared! I am doing pretty good I start my liquids tomorrow MONDAY I work Mon and Tue then surgery is Wed at 730am!! Yeah!!! Mary its just days away now..I can feel it..I was in your shoes just 3 weeks or so ago...it goes fast...I went to the last support group and now...i wont be able to make this one...CUZ ILL BE ONE DAY POST OP!!!!woooohooooo ~Tay

Thanks for the responces ladies...so what exactly will I learn or does she go over in the pre surgery class? I just know Im going to bawl from fear the closer I get to my date and that morning. Oh they changed my surgery time from 830am to 730am....dang it I live an hr away gotta be there at 545 guess Ill leave at 5am??!!~Tay

OH PS I got my blood work drawn today..it says 2 weeks ahead of time..which is Wed..but I called the office to see if it was ok to do today...someone said yah LOL...I go to the presurgery class Friday and then talk to the anesteciaologist however you spell that dang word..on Friday also since I am over 300lbs....that worries me I am 345

Hey Mary, congrats on getting through the hoops..so what ins co do you have? And have you just sent your final papers to Billie or has she actually sumitted them to the ins now? And if so, when? I was lucky this time arround when I was approved I think Billie faxed over my letter of medical necessity on aTue or Wed and she called me the next Monday saying I was approved!! Anyhow ladies when you were close to your surgery date were you worried and nervous?? I had a crying day yesterday...Im 2 weeks away as of this Wed. My mom was over and we were talking little bits of what if..cuz I feel its important to think about what if you don't make it and try and make some plans. Anyway to make a long stor short I was almost ready to say forget it and not have the surgery...did anyone else feel this way? ~Chantay

HI all...well I have to work tomorrow night till 630 so I wont be making the meeting..........I bought 2 bottles of chocolate powder of whey protein already in a bottle just ad water and one $4 bottle of alpine flavor isopure from Natures pantry just to try out and get a "fill" HAHA for what might taste good after surgery. By the time eveyone reads this I will be saying 2 weeks and some days till surgery...WOOHOO!! ~Chantay

Hey there...what size do I need huh...LOL well Im not sure I just bought some cheap stretchy capri's from kmart and they are a 3x but as far as jeans and things i cant fit into the 28 anymore I wear big shirts like 26/28 but not for long cuz im 29 days away from surgery !!! so is anyone going to the meeting next thursday night where the 2 groups are combined for the plastic surgeon?? i wanna go just to meet more and be around "my kind" lol ~Chantay

Mary, it was great to meet you last night....I was so cought up in meeting another girl last night and talking to some others that I didn't get around to talking to you and then we left and i forgot to ask if you wanted to go across the way to have Mexican with us..I am still feeling bad about that..Im so sorry...What area do you live in? Im in Independence..seems like eveyrone else in in KS.....I am so excited to be meeting more bansters it helps in not only this process but also in making more friends witch I can sure use!! Hey girls!! My appt went great my surgery date is 5 weeks away!! April 25th at 830am I cant wait!!! I had a nightmare last night that I showed up for my appt and I had went to the RR and came back peaked around the corner and saw Nola sitting at her desk talking to someone she looked at me and shook her head no...then she told me she would have to reschedule my appt...FOR NO REASON!! I was so upset and crying I told her I had to get off work for this appt...LOL oh the anxiety LOL I also drempt that there was like a clothes closet where people were getting to pick clothes for themselves from people who no longer needed that size..I guess that dream was due to the clothing exchange posted for the other RNY group before...but I could sure use some clothes if anyone has any HUGAMUNGO ones they dont need anymore...I will be happy to give up my old ones when I dont need them anymore...cant wait till that day!!! Well hello ladies!! I have not been on here FOREVER!! Actually probably no one even knows who I am exept Robyn and even we haven't officially met. I'm Chantay and I started this process one year ago cuz I remember I went to the KC Bariatrics seminar like on March 9th I think.....anyway I did all my testing saw my PCP then when my letter of med necessity was sent off to First Health (Coventry) it was denied due to not enough documentation by my PCP.....well then I went back and forth with trying to decide rather to try again...and well one year later...the letter of med nec...is back in the ins. nurses hand (and God's hands) once again...This was as of last Friday.....so now I wait again and hope to hear something by the end of this week....so for all you believers I would appreicate the prayers......this would make my life I think.....I know I need it and bad...I am at my highest weight ever at 340 I'm 5.4 and will be 36 in May. I'll keep you posted....~Chantay

Yes this helped thanks!! As far as what to expect...it was just a general question and any type of answer would be fine. I do have another question though...I see a lot of people say they are satisfied now after eating a little etc...satisfied and full...well I would assume that many of us (like myself) are obese because we eat and eat and crave and eat beyond satisfaction so how easy is it to go from being an overeater to eating till your full or satisfied this will be a whole new thing for me. Now I do realize that we I wont have much choice that the main reason Im doing lapband I feel I have to do something that will "MAKE" me change my ways, is that how you all felt? I am planning on taking a week off..I just it at a desk and answer phone calls, is a week good enough? Will I feel better or worse than after my C-Sec? ok im done thanks!~Chantay

Hi girls, it's me Chantay, I haven't posted much on her but hope to post more frequently now and meet everyone soon. I have talked to Robyn a few times on AIM and (I finally met your sister at work Robyn) We talked a little on Wed I think? Anyhow a quick update on me. Im 35 weight 315 wear size 26/28 (did someone say free clothes?? LOL) I saw Dr Sabopathy last Monday he gave me the all clear, then I had my X-Ray and pulmanary testing Thursday all clear as well. I go to the dietician and do my cardiac testing the last week of this month. Then Billie will submit my letter to First Health and I pray Im approved!! (IF it's Gods will) so I hope to hear something by the end of the first week in Aug. She says DR Hoehn is booking into Sept. I was sure hoping to meet everyone at the support group but Ill be out of town. Going to Dallas (Bedford) to see my sister then to Houston (The Woodlands) then to a place we have never been...Corpus Christi, long trip but hoping for lots of fun. I'll be gone from the 26th till Aug 1st. Anyways can you girls talk to me about what to expect..I mean I have read ALOT but can you tell me more..expecially since you have all been through SMMC..and DR H also like what if anything are your regrets or problems from the surgery? And what kinda things will I not be able to eat etc....And one more question...I have noticed in a lot of pics that women like me with "before" big saggy boobs seem to have nicer looking maybe firmer or just not as saggy boobs? I was wondering if you all with PCOS have you had any luck with losing the extra facial hair now? Also is the next meeting THIS Thurs night at 6pm? I looked on the kc site but they only have the meetings for July. darn I missed it I just looked at my calendar...oh well I guess Ill get to meet you all next month. Hi All!! I was so ecited to find this group. I am back on obesityhelp.com and someone posted this site there. My name is Chantay Im 35 live near Indep. I have been to Dr Hoehns seminar in March and was all up for lapband but then my insurance Co kept telling me its covered its not bla bla...(First Health direct) plus I have a few concers and scares etc but Im back to wanting to do it again. I have my appt with Dr sabapathy june 10th and need to rescehdule my appts with the dietician and the cardiac and pulmanary dr since I canceled them already anyhow I weigh 315 and my BMI is 52. My main concers are seeing so many post of people having to get there ports redone once or twice. and having this thing inside you forever....im not trying to be made to feel better necisarrily i just want the truths as to what to expect. Nice to meet you all, cant wait to hear form you and meet you soon!~Chantay
