You probley are not that far from me. Good luck on your running. Due to a severe knee injury 14 years ago I had my one knee replaced in September last year. Infact, that is why my insurance company approved my weight loss surgery. I am limited to the amount of activity I can do the rest of my life. I walk quite a bit and can ride a bike on level surfaces. I had been an avid horse back rider since age 4 but had to give that up also. Leslie

I was to have my first fill today, it was postponed due to the snow. I lost 28 lbs the first 5 weeks (and dropped 2 sizes, I've gone from a 20 to a 16) and have stayed the same for the last 3. I Thought I would of had a fill by now and I'm disapointed I haven't lost anymore. I do realize it's a process and I'm trying to be patient. My scars are healing fine and I feel pretty good. What about you, how are you doing?? Leslie

I go for my first fill on the 17th of Feb. I'm from Salem County. where in NJ are you from? My fill was originally scheduled for the 10th but was cancelled due to the weather. Most people are on there 2nd or 3rd fill by now. Not sure why my doctor is so cautious. Right now I can eat just about everything. It's tuff. Thanks for replying, Leslie

I had Dr. Patel, I was to have my first fill yesterday but it was postponed untill the 17th. It will be my first fill. Leslie

My 1st fill that was cancelled yesterday due to the snow storm was rescheduled for the 17th. My doctor is about 1 1/2 hours away. Will I be okay driving myself home afterwards?? My husband was going to take me yesterday but can not get the 17th off. I have no idea what to expect as this is my first fill. Any input is appreciated. Leslie

Sorry to hear about your depression. I too have suffered from depression and anxiety since my son went to Iraq 5 years ago. I take 40mgs of lexapro daily. I would call your family doctor ASAP. With your weight change you may need an adjustment in your meds. Also make sure your not skipping any doses or throwing up the medicine. Take care of yourself, Leslie

This is my first time writting although I have been reading your questions and responses for awhile. I was banded 12-21-09. Lost 28 lbs the first 5 weeks. Have stayed the same the last 3. I was to have my first fill today and it was postponed due to the weather. I am totally bummed and just want to eat a huge peice of chocolate cake. I also have noticed that at 8 weeks alot of you are on your 2nd fill. I know everyone is different but like everyone else I have gone through this whole experience to lose weight, not stay the same. Atlantic Care in Atlantic City, Dr. Patel

I was banded at Atlantic Care in Atlantic city. I'm from Salem County NJ. Dr Patel is my surgeon.

I had the same problem for 4 weeks after my banding. I had to wear a pad on the back part of my undies to contain the "leaks". It did improve with time.
