I was banded back in June 2009 from Bluewater Surgical and I was looking for other patients that received their band from them. Just looking to hear of your experience. I have lost 80 lbs. and starting to enjoy the physical aspects that I have been missing. Looking to hear from you.

I spoke with my accountant this morning and he says there will be no issues providing you have all documents with receipts. He has told me to claim all traveling expenses providing corresponding dates (when, where and how far) with the doctors office where you got your surgery and fills.

As a resident of Ontario it is my duty to try and maintain my hard earned dollars for my family as well pay my taxes on time. That being said, the provincial government does not assist us with providing funding to pay for surgical banding. I believe this topic has been brought up more than a couple times but I am also encourage to hear if anyone knows anything new on how we can recoup some of this money we spend so we can live longer to continue to pay taxes. I was banded in June and I am looking to claim medical expenses on my Tax Return. Does anyone have any advice??

Still waiting for my sweet spot. It has been a long road.

Hi Everyone, I was banded in June 2009 at Bluewater Surgical, Point Edward and I get my fills there or from a Doctor in Strathroy (this is a part of my 5 year package). I am sure you can contact his office and discuss what these cost will be.

Does anybody have a fill experience like mine?

I am just 2 weeks short of 6 months post op with a 10cc band having 9cc filled. Till I got my last fill on December 14 I had no restriction. This was a feeling that I have been waiting for. Other than blockage due to not chewing correctly I have had not changes. Everyone is different and hopefully this does not take you this long to find your sweet spot. I am still not sure if I am still there. When I received my fill on the 14th I did not eat much and felt I was full but 10 days later I am not getting that full feeling and find myself hungry within a half hour from eating. Stay with it and have patience. I have had grow patience with my specific case. -
Transitioning to Solid Food

10 days postop and eating solids with no issues. I have been thinking that forgot to put the band in.
