Hi, i had my surgery July 9th. I am having a hard time getting my liquids in. Water cause my stomach to feel like its burning. I have tried Crystal Light but do not really like it. How many weeks out can we start having lemon with our water and why would water upset my stomach so much? Thanks for your help...

Thank you for your replies. I will add a some lemon to my water and see if that is better. I am on an acid blocker but that doesn't help.

Hi, I am 3 weeks out and find that I am hungry by around 12:30 in the afternoon. I usually try to wait until at least 1:30 before I eat. Right now I am in the dreaded stall and have lost 15 lbs so far. What time of day does everyone else get hungry?

What time of day do you first get hungry?

I track my food on my fitness pal. I average almost 50g protein and I am still working on the 64 oz of water. I will try eating an egg or something small for breakfast and see if that helps move the scale along and increase my protein. -

Yes, I skip breakfast. My doctor told me if I am not hungry don't eat-that it is OK to skip meals. -

Hi une nouvelle vie, I wake up round 7:30 am and go to bed around 11:30 pm. I have lunch around 1:30 then a snack around 4 and dinner around 8:30 -that's what time my husband comes home from work. -

Oh Sleeve30 that must be wonderful! I have just recently started to get hungry. -
My husband has taken off a few weeks to be home with me after my band to sleeve surgery on 7/9. I never noticed how often he eats until now! The food he cooks smells great and my mouth starts to water then my stomach starts to burn since I'm not getting to eat any of the food he cooked. I try to have a sf Popsicle or something I can have but it doesn't really help. Anyone else have this issue?

Thank you Sarsar. I'm glad to know this is temporary as I had the patch.

Hi, I was sleeved on 7/9 and also seem to have trouble focusing. I hope this is temporary.

Hi, I had my surgery July 9th. The pain was not bad. Can drink apple juice and Popsicles. Everything else is to sweet now. I feel kinda hungry but know it's not real hunger. Am taking a prescription for acid so hopefully that will help. -
Are beans an allowable carb? Im supposed to keep my carbs under 30 and know there are a lot of carbs in beans.

I dont think you can ever ask too many questions. I feel lucky cause in my office there is about 10 of us who have done it in the last few months. Most of us with Baptista or Cywes. I have asked them questions for months and watched their progress. I did have a hernia that was fixed. -

The pre-op was a liquid diet that included sugar free jello and sugar free popsicles. This is the best decision I have ever made. Just watching these few pounds come off gives me such motivation. Good luck. -

I also used Dr. Cywes. It went so smooth. The day I went to surgery I was 202lbs. I had the surgery October 1st. I am down to 194. I never expected it to go so smooth. I had no neck or shoulder pain from gas. They gave me some breathing exercises to do do to prevent it. I had no pain from the incisions at all. Even though its only been a week since the surgery I am very pleased with the results. I would have been a self pay if the insurance had denied it. My comorbidities were high blood pressure and high cholesteral. My post op is tomorrow. -
I have had bad neck pain in the back of my neck. It is very stiff when I try to turn it and is very uncomfortable to sleep on. It feels like its from when they had the breathing tube in and had my head tilted back. Ive tried heat and massage but nothing has helped so far. It is the only discomfort Ive had. Has anyone else experienced this? My surgery was October 1st.

I have Aetna POS II. I am gaining the 5 lbs I need to reach the 35% BMI. I have high blood pressure which is controlled by a Water pill. I also have high cholesterol but that doesn't seem to be one of Aetnas other conditions to qualify. My primary Dr is the one that suggested the lap band and said he would write the letter of recommendation. I go next Thursday to the orientation. I have lost and gained the same 20 lbs over and over. I have been heavy my whole life. I am 5'5 and weigh 205 lbs as of this morning. I would hate to gain even the few pounds needed to get to the 35 bmi just to be told no by Aetna. Does anyone have any thoughts on my qualifying? Thanks
