Well Friday I had a fill under floro....they gave me 2cc so I am at a total of 10 or 10.5. Man can I tell the difference. I have to really slow down and take very small bites. I feel full really quick and the fullness lasts for a long time. I am seeing the light at the end of this long struggle. :confused:

I have not lost a single pound. Will go in next week for another fill this time under floro. I hope this works.

I wish my Dr. would do every fill under fluroscopy. I have had a fill every month since Oct. and 1 unfill. I was banded in Sept. and have only lost 30 pounds. I feel like a failure! I now have 8.5 cc's in my 14 cc band. Had a fill over a week ago and do not see any difference. I need to call, because they said if this didn't do the trick they will schedule a fluroscopy. Does your Dr. measure what you have in before they add more? Mine has only done that once. :smile2:

At times I feel restricted and other times I can eat anything. I have had a few episodes of slimming and vomiting.(So I'm thinking yeah restriction) This whole thing confuses me and not a pound lost yet:cursing: Vikki99 so glad to hear you are at your sweet spot:thumbup: Way to go!

Went back to the dr. last Thursday. Gained a pound. Had 1 cc added so I should have 8.5 cc's now. If I don't have any progress in the next month they will do the next fill under floroscopy (sp) I feel a tiny bit restricted but not much. When you see the posts from others where the weight if falling off it discourages me alot, then I get depressed and want to eat and eat. Not good.

Couldn't have said it better. I go to the Dr. tomorrow, I hope another fill will do something. Very frustrating when I go get fills monthly and nothing happens. I feel something is just not right. :thumbup:

I feel all of your pain. I have 7.1 cc's in a 14 cc band and have no restriction at all. I can eat bread, noodles, prime rib, etc. I go to the Dr. Thursday so hopefully, a new fill will help. I have went for fills monthly since my surgery in Sept. 09. I am getting very discouraged. I have been around 30 pounds lost since Dec. / Jan. I want this to work. :thumbup:

Hello, I am 8 months out and have a constant pain/discomfort on my left side. Above the port area and just below my ribs. Anyone else have this? Just wondering if this is normal.

Go ahead and vent away. Just know you are not alone. I am 8 months out and only at the 31 pound mark. It is so frustrating. Just when I got restriction....I started having gas and bloating issues. Had an unfill gained 6 pounds. Now back to the 7.1 cc's where I was before (3 1/2 weeks out) and have lost 1 pound. And guess what? Friday started with the gas and bloating again. I feel like a complete failure. I know a couple ladies who have had it done with alot more success. Hopefully we will start moving in the right direction. Just might take us a little longer. It does sound like you need a fill.

I am 8 months out and also have had problems. I don't want to rely on laxitives either. I don't know how to word this without being gross. All I ever get is pebbles and sometimes rocks. With 7.5 cc's in my 14 cc band I had the best restriction I had ever felt. Because of some issues the dr. emptied me. He removed 6 cc's. (Told me that you can't get all the liquid out) So according to him I still had 1.5 cc's. One month later and 5 pounds heavier I had a fill of 5cc's. No restriction and able to eat bread. Now another month later and 2 pounds heavier I received another fill 1cc. So according to the dr. I should be back at 7.5cc's. I do not feel restriction. I don't know what to do and don't seem to be getting anywhere with my dr. Why me???????????

Well here I go again. Another month gone by and no weightloss. I go to the Doc on Thursday - I can't wait to hear all his negative comments. I have no restriction at all - I can even eat bread again. UUUUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHH! I have been in and out of that Dr.'s office every month since surgery. I need help.:thumbup:

Wow great information. I have heard the only 2 ways to have a leak is a needle prick or a bad port. Since the leak is not your fault do you have to pay for any of the surgery? That's my big question who is responsible?:thumbup: I really want my surgeon to give me a fill under floroscopy (sp) but he is basically refusing. Made the comment that this is for his patients that fly in to see him. :smile: I guess me driving for 2 hours is no big deal. I just want restriction- and want to know why i don't. Sorry to vent..... it is frustrating. Thanks for listening.

Hi, I am concerned that I may have a leak. Been at a standstill for a very long time. I finally got restriction 2 months ago, but then came gas and bloating issues. Doc decided to unfill me. Only got 6cc's out. According to his records I should have 7.5cc's. When I asked where the other 1.5 cc's went he told me that you can never get all the liquid out! I have questioned the fills many times because reading on here - most people have what was put in taken out and measured. At the end of March the doc put 5cc's back in. I have absolutely NO restriction. I can now eat bread. Which I have not been able to since surgery. Any suggestions?

Good idea - Get off that birth control shot! It does play a major role with your moods.

Sounds like everyone is doing great with a few ups and downs. I think I have had more downs than ups. Just when I started seeing the scale move again after a long stand still....I started having alot of gas, bloating and pain. Make a long story short they emptied my band :smile2: I did feel much better. However, I gained 3 pounds in 2 weeks. Went back got lectured by the Dr. and was given 5cc on the 30th of March. I do not feel any restriction and it's like I'm back at square one I can eat everything. I don't go for another fill until May 4th. Just want to thank you all for listening and keep up the good work! You all look amazing!

The first clinic I went to wanted a $1200 fee paid before they would even schedule surgery (included 16 classes) plus $500 up front before surgery. They would only take cash or credit card. No personal checks. I finally got feed up with them after paying for some of the classes that a nurse taught -while reading off a piece of paper. Needless to say I felt it was a racket and was all about the $$$$$$$. Then they started pushing you to buy the vitamins they sell.(When at seminar - children's chewables were good enough) I finally got online and did some more searching - I found a clinic with no up front cost and felt they were really concerned about me and my health. I have to travel an hour and a half from my home, but it was worth it. I would suggest to keep looking.

Well I had great restriction at 7.1cc in my 14cc band. Went to the Dr. today because of a lot of gas pain and bloating. They did the worst thing possible - they emptied my band. They don't believe the band was causing the problems but to be on the safe side they emptied me. Great - I had just lost another 5 lbs. I go back March 30th. If I don't have improvment in a few days they are going to do a CAT scan. How heart breaking to finally start succeeding and have to go back to square one.:scared2:

Thanks for the advice. I called the Dr. today, I can get in tomorrow. It's an hour an a half from my house. I had to leave work today because I was so uncomfortable and in pain. They want to empty my band and don't know what the problem could be since I don't have my gall bladder. I want to have a fluoroscopy done before they do anything. The nurse sounded like the dr. won't do that. I hope all goes well and I have the strength to stand up for myself. Wish me luck!

Wow I started having the bloating problem with losts of gas and pain. Major belching and lots of noise from the other end. I felt so tight and bloated across my stomach that I thought my band was going to explode. I am going to call the Dr. tomorrow. I am six months out. 14 cc band with 7.1cc's in it. Last week I vomited on Monday ( I thought I ate too fast) Thursday I vomited for an hour and 45 minutes then this weekend I had the bloating problem on Saturday & Sunday. I am so scared something is wrong. If you find out any info please let me know. I hope things get better for you :thumbup: Hang in there, I'll be thinking of you.
