  1. After VSG you will still find food enjoyable and you can still have good meals! It will take a little while before you are eating "real" food again but once you are it's still good! In that case I would have done the burger with no bun and ate 1/2 of it and if you wanted the salad or a veggie then have it! I personally haven't ate salad yet just because I'm still so focused on my protein because it really does help my scale move! I have burgers a lot (esp. when we go out, it's easy) but I just don't eat the bun so that I'm getting all protein! It is a BIG adjustment it you will find your "nitch"!!

    How is the GREAT Friday going sleevers? Since it's Friday I can't have meat so it's been interesting on what I will be eating each week. B - coffee and Protein Drink L - Protein Bar D - Fish of some sort! S - Fruit gummie

    It's been an okay day today! B - coffee and a Protein shake L - Beef Jerky D - Fish S - Fruit gummies Vita - at night time Water - so so Exercise - I did a quick mile at lunch but am SO OMG SORE from doing a step class last night! LOL

    Here's to another Tuesday! (My Monday this week for work! LOL) B - coffee and two hours later my Protein shake (49g) L - I have sausage bits and cheese crackers D - ??? Maybe fish or left over ham S - Beef Jerky and/or Carrot sticks Water - Have my 20z bottle at my desk and a 20z bottle for while at the gym Vita - Take at night Exercise - going to take a step class after work today!

    Snacking?

    I still don't have hunger pains (15 weeks post-op) but I feel like (esp. at night) that I should be snacking and my head has been taking over my body! LOL Does anyone else get the snacky feeling? I'm trying really hard to make myself more aware of it and just grab some water and not food that I know I don't need! I get my protein in and I get a good amount of calories in so I don't need any other food!

    I have to say that I haven't been doing so well either Haven't been taking in enough protein and have been snacking on carb loaded foods I'm be your accountabilty buddy too if ya want!!

    Am I Crazy???

    I too got a lot of comments from friends and family about how they didn't think I needed to something that "crazy" but I knew what I needed to do! I was a BMI of 38-39 too! It was the BEST decision I've made in a LONG time when it comes to ME!

    I need to find a tape measure so I can do my body fat! I'd be interested to see what mine is! Just last week I went from being obese to Overweight! It was a GREAT feeling!!!
  15. I was about to be like, WHAT why no laffy taffy but I see you are still so new post -op! LOL I have had one small laffy taffy candy since surgery and it was Great but SO SWEET that I didn't want any more! LOL

    B - Protein Bar and 20oz of coffee - late night means NEEDED caffinee!!! L - Sausage bits, cheese and crackers D - eggs on toast I think! LOL I'm on my own for dinner this week or it'll be EASY FAST stuff at home! Vite -at night Water - 20oz of water and 20oz of coffee Exercise - Once again it's a no go today. I NEED to be finding a good balance here!

    WOW, back to work has REALLY messed up my schedule!! B - Protein shake L - Beef Jerky D - ?? Going out for a "hail and farewell" tonight and it's buffet. I'm sure I won't be eating much of NOTHING! LOL Vit - at night before bed Water - 35oz so far Exercise - 3 flights of stairs to my office and back again numerous times! LOL I was supposed to run tonight but think I am going to be out of time

    Yeah I never noticed it either as I too just use the View New button each time I come on! I think a sub-forum of it's own is great! I LOVE seeing what others are eating!!!
  23. I am curious how often you weigh yourself and what if you see the scale go up, what do you do? I officially weigh in on Monday's and last week I gained 1 lb. So I've been very careful with food and have been going to the gym each day and been feeling Great! SO I've been watching the scale. I went down on Tue and then up by 2lbs on Wed and back down 1lb today? I know that we shouldn't weigh everyday but it's so hard to not watch where I'm at. I'm not really understanding why I am not losing a good number again? Can it be that after not getting in enough Protein for almost a whole week and two weeks with no work outs that it will take a couple of weeks to get back on track?
  24. I am totally running into issues with this because I am starting work again so I have to buy nice clothes! I've been trying for clearance but haven't found a lot. I don't shop thrift shops even though I know I would be saving a lot of money I was very lucky that the friend I just moved in with still have a range of sizes in jeans from her WLS and she was in 16s for one of her longer times and I'm right around a 16-14 right now so some of them fit so now I have jeans!!

    I'm So Excited!!

    So I made a goal for myself that I would start to run/walk and I would complete a 5K This year! Well I did sign up for one on 30 April but I've been training for a bit. At the begining of Feb. I got my new shoes that have the Nike+ and I've been recording everything through there. My first run with it was 40:45 on 8 Feb. Today's run (3/4) was in 34:12!! WOOHOO!!! It felt GREAT! I ran for the first full 2.5K which was just over 15 mins!! I don't remember the last time I was able to run for 15 mins straight! LOL Also it was kinda funny today because I have two pairs of workout pants, they were both in the wash so I put on a pair of capri's. Got to the gym and started to run and OMG my pants started Falling Off!!!! They didn't seem like they were that big on me but when you add all that movement I guess they are!!! hehe Time to shop again! hehe
