Ok Tina, I checked online and found Zumba classes for the Sunrise location. Friday at 5:35, Saturday at 11:45 and Sundays at 8:45. What do you think? We should tackle that Zumba sometime. Maybe in December? -

I'll be there next Saturday! Still sick, but I went to work and made it through the day. Now I'm just having a lazy night at home. Trying to figure out what's for dinner. So ladies, what's for dinner? -

I've been sick. I took yesterday and today off from work. I never take time off work, but I figure I better do it right or else I could get sick again or stay sick longer. I don't want to be sick while I'm on vacation! So far it's been a head cold, but I feel it moving to my chest. I have a tendancy to get bronchitis, lame! I feel icky. I even googled "Ok to excercise while sick" and apparently there's the "neck test" if it's above the neck, you're good to exercise, but if it's chest or stomach (or you have a fever) then exercise is a no-go. I've been pretty good with the food today, that's hard though- I just want to curl up on the couch and eat cookie dough. But I didn't! Maria- I'm so happy for you! Nothing to worry about now! -

This was the special speaker at last night's support group! They shut the door so we couldn't hear, and they came out towards the end to try to sell us her book. It was pretty lame, no one had mentioned that there was a special event. Amanda (our new RNY friend from last night) said she was on their email list and didn't hear anything about a special event. I called the number for the leader of the group and never got a return phone call. Hmmmm. But we had a great group last night. :w00t: I'm going to start collecting magazines to make my vision board! lol. Oh, and there was another person there in the beginning, she was selling body shaper things. "The Garment" as she kept saying. It was some "Loose 2 sizes instantly" thing. But that thing was way expensive. Her before and after photos were impressive, but that's a lot of money. She kept calling it an "inexpensive tummy tuck". Or, as I'm calling it, "A hecka expensive girdle". Hope you're all having a good day, full of good choices! -

I love the vision board idea! I did one once and framed it, it was small but it worked. Donna, we should suggest this to Angel- it could make a great activity for the group... I'm off to the EG Support Group! See you EG Ladies, and the twins soon! -

Lee- Doc Fisher wants me to record my weight each day so I try to update my ticker daily. Some people prefer to change it only with their Kaiser weight. It's up to you! -

Hello All! Yesterday was good fun. I'm hecka sore now! You should follow the 1200 calorie at least in the beginning, and then modify it. Don't just pick a random diet. Tweak the plan to fit your needs. The 1200 calorie diet is actually a lot of food. The thing that took a while to get used to was eating only 3 times a day. I was snacking more than I realized, so I'd be full with only a little food and then I'd be hungry a few hours later. If your worried about carbs, just save them for the end. You might be too hungry to eat them anyway. -

Hello all! I'm excited for tomorrow. I found my camera yesterday too. I'm really glad I found that thing. I've been losing stuff lately, but none of it was the weight I wanted to lose! Maybe next week I can find my checkbook and lose 5 lbs... Donna, do you want to carpool too? I know you not EG, but we could meet you at Ikea or something if you want. Candra- you are such a good friend. We'll miss you tomorrow. -

I never even thought of having RNY. I know some people like it for the "effortless" weight loss but I'm young and I'm going to need to eat a certain way forever. Forever is a long time! I want to be able to have a slice of cake at my wedding, I want to be able to have an unfill when I get pregnant so I can provide proper nutrition for my child. I don't want to be malnourished on purpose. I need help to keep from eating too much so I need restriction, but I don't need or want the malabsorption. I also really like the thought of going in for fills. Some people think it's too much work and a pain to go get fills, but I know I need to check in with my surgeon ever time and I can really work the program this way. Right now I've basically been turned loose until I reach my goal weight and I don't like this. If I could have done it on my own I wouldn't have needed WLS. The fills and nutrition appts and all of that are something I look forward to, and I don't mind driving to Richmond. It is far but I'd driver farther for a program like this. I feels so fortunate to be able to go to a center for excelence.
