I'm only updating my ticker with my Kaiser weigh-ins now. I'm too tired of thinking I'm doing better and being up five lbs with Kaiser's scale. I'm tired of feeling false joy over this. I'm going to try going to Zumba today. Keep your fingers crossed. -

Go Candra! I'm glad you got your fill! Somehow I don't think anyone else talking to the doc for me would help, He'd probably make me lose an extra 10 lbs! I had another weight check today, I'm still up. I've been trying much harder recently and I saw the scale go down for a few days and now I'm back up! Of course, I didn't have the best lunch (I had a regular, full carb tortilla) I think it's because I was having an "oh well, it's not going to make a difference" moment. oh boy, I've still got a lot of work to do. I can't wait to see you all on Saturday, I really need this. -

Woohoo Tamra! I'm so excited for you! I'm trying really hard to follow the beck book, today was eating slowly and mindfully. FAIL. Oh my. -

New goal- I'm hoping to be down 10 lbs by my birthday, Feb 25th. I had a great weekend, with ok eating. We went to visit my friend in Rohnert Park today and he took us to his favorite place to eat. I got a burger and salad, but they brought me fries instead. I know I didn't have to eat the fries... I only ate about half. And I only did 30 minutes on the bike this morning. Tomorrow needs to be 60 minutes on the elliptical! Tamra, you'll do fine! We're all rooting for you! -

Nicole- Pam doesn't have text! We missed you, but I know you got a great workout! Jes- Happy Birthday!! Liz- You can click on one of our tickers to create your own, then you copy and paste the code in your signature area. (You edit that after you click on "User CP" CP for Control Panel- kind of dumb) Nicole- I'm glad you're not broken! Take good care of that ankle! Go Tamra! You're gonna rock that band for sure! Candra- How's miss bella kitty doing? -

I was glad to see Pam and Maria tonight, so sorry no one else could make it. :w00t: I have my cousin's bridal shower tomorrow, at 11 am. 11 am on a Sunday!? Hope everyone is doing well! -

Pat, Cream of wheat isn't like grits. Cream of wheat tastes good. I've actually only tasted grits once a few months back, but I grew up on cream of wheat. -

Hey ladies! I'm popping in and out. I couldn't decide on a dinner to make, and I have tons of stuff but its all frozen! So, with the help of the google gods, I've decided to make lasagna using zucchini instead of noodles. I might throw in some spinach for good measure too. Totally different than my normal lasagnas. Can I just tell y'all that I can't wait to see you tomorrow! Nicole- I have a binder with paper and a notebook for you. I put them in my trunk this morning so I wouldn't forget! -

Candra, I don't quite "got it" yet, but I'm getting there. It's had getting back on track. I'm hoping I can lose another 50 lbs before my oreintation anniversary in May, and even have surgery! You ladies make a very good point about the support. The weekly support group in EG is not any good, I didn't feel welcome there and it isn't run well. The leaders will talk amongst themselves, then when you talk to someone else they shush you! And you know how this group hates to be shushed! The Richmond group is just impossible for Sacramento people to go to, and the Point West group is only monthly. Perhaps Richmond needs to sponser a group meeting in Sacramento... at least to get it started. So many Richmond patients come from Sacramento and we need support. I think our thread is different from a lot of stuff on the site, we don't brag about cheating as someone pointed out. We're honest, and we call each other out on our cheating. I'm glad to see the scale finally starting to move in the right direction. It's been too long. -

Hello ladies! Tamra- Contrats!!!! That's so quick you don't even have a chance to freak out! hehe I'm doing better than I had been doing, I should have updated my ticker, but I never did. I'm trying to break this dang plateau (and holiday/vacation gain). I'm feeling like "I got this" again, haven't felt this way in months. MONTHS! Anyway, I'm doing better than I had been doing and I've started reading The Beck Diet Solution again, and really trying to stick with that program. I'm bringing shreded mexican chicken for Pam's Potluck. I can't wait to see you all! I'm stoked for this weekend. I see my ladies on Saturday (Yay), my cousin's bridal shower is Sunday, and we're going to Riley's neck of the woods on Monday to hang out with my friend. (Super Yay) I hope you're all having a wonderful, healthy day! -

Congrats Tamra and Nicollie!!!! I'm so excited for you. Jes- How was skiing? Where did you go? We're going next week! I had a really rough day yesterday, but it seems to have kicked me in the behind and I've been on track today. I guess the scale had to scare me into submission. I met a cool girl, Jaci, at the EG meeting when I went. She wanted to know if I was going tonight. I so want to, but that meeting is no good. The EG group is so unfriendly, I didn't feel welcome at all. Kind of a bummer, seeing how it's the closest meeting to me and it's a weekly one too. I'll invite her to our big Kaiser meeting though. I miss everyone! I can't wait till Saturday! Tina-Did you think about doing a phone appt with Robin? You could just tell her how you feel, and be honest with her. Maybe she doesn't realize she's being such a hard-ass that you have less fill than you came out of surgery with. I just hate that you're in bandster hell. -

Way to go Tamra and Nicollie! You girls are rockin' it! Me, not so much. I had two mini reeses pb cups today at work, because I was tired. I haven't identified the feelings for the other two reeses, or the bites of fudge I had at work. The fudge might have been curiosity (butterscotch, white chocolate and choc/mint flavored fudge- none was all that good). Ugh. All my veggie ladies, I need your help! I've been having beef lately and it's not been that agreeable so I'm thinking I need more meat-free nights. What are your favorite meat free proteins? I know you guys mentioned Quorn, was it patties or nuggets? I need some ideas. Pam- I'll bring chicken verde to your place! Great on tacos/nachos/buritos/salad/the side of the plate etc. Pretty versatile. I'm looking forward to it! -

Back from the movie (New Moon-so embarassed!). I'm back to journaling again, I know I totally let myself slide when I don't journal. I'm tired of this! I've regained more than I'd like to admit over the past few weeks. I've got to get this under control. I did an hour on the bike last night and I'm thinking I'll do about 30 min even though it's late. I also called to make another weight check appt. I do not want them to drop me from the program and have to go to that stupid orientation again. Pam, I'm game for the 16th! -

Howdy! Just checking in. Just finished reading! Hi Nicole, welcome back! Pam- I think a get-together at your house would be amazing! I need more support too! I'm back on track today, absolutely no snacking. I was so hungry! I just had dinner, so I'm good for now. We're going to a movie so I won't be tempted to snack on random stuff around the house. (We don't buy food at the movies). More later! -
MBT is Masai Barefoot Technology. It's a shoe very similar to the shape ups, but very expensive. At least $200 per pair.

I just finished 40 minutes on my Wii (fit). I love the "Free step" feature, lets you watch tv while you step and the wii remote talks to you and keeps time (or stays quiet if you prefer that). Pretty cool. I'll probably get on the bike tonight too. -

Ummmm, no. I'll miss you all, but we're going to walk the golden gate tomorrow. He can't go on our date without me! Pam- I've used billpay for a few years, and I love it! Most of my bills are transfered electronically, I think only my storage bill is sent via check. But the bank cuts and mails the check, no postage from me! -

Welcome Ali! Do you have Kaiser? Where do you live? I got my referral just by asking. If you're a low bmi there may be more to it though. -

Sorry ladies, I will not be making it to Vallejo on Saturday. The boyfriend and I have a date in San Francisco, so I'll miss you but I have a good reason! Happy trails, ladies! -
I'm going to get the shape-ups, but I do have the Fitflops. Actually, I have a pair of the fitflops flip-flops and a pair of fitflops clogs. I don't feel the "workout while you walk" that they claim, but my feet feel so good in these shoes.

Go Jes! I can't imagine ever fitting into leather pants! Good for you! My birthday is 2 months away, I'm going to make a new goal for my birfday! And I will wear my green dress (it'll be 10 years old, holy cow). I didn't get to wear it in Hawaii, I'm still rather volumptious (ie-spilling out of it) so I couldn't quite wear it in public. Oh my. Any of my fellow Wii users interested in doing a 30 day challenge? I'll start 1/1/10 (I just got off the bike and I'll still do the wii tonight, but start the challenge on Friday).
