Hi, Im Stacey,I am 39 years old and have a wonderful husband Darrin for 21 years and 2 children, Darrin 21 and Shelbie 18.  I have been suffering from obesity since i had my first child back in 1988, I weighed 160 at pregnacy and gained 75 lbs during the preganacy and I was never able to loose the weight after wards. I then had another child 3 years later, gaining another 36lbs. From there I constantly tried every diet out there and with no success I would give up. I did go on the redux medication and lost like 50lbs and then it was pulled off the market due to its afffects on the heart. I then gained all the 50 back and then some. I have been dealing with Ulcerative Cloitis for 10 years and have been on Prednisone off and on and have gained 30 lbs at a time on this med. I recently have found a way to deal with it without the use of oral steroids, my face was a huge moon. I was over 300 lbs. Back in Oct 08, I decided to have the lap band and entered the program in north Chelmsford,weighing in at 289lbs and  1 month into the program I found out I had uterine cancer, I had a full hysterectomy and lymphnode disection in Dec 08,during this time I had gained a significant amount of weight again, back up over 300lbs, my dr said his scale would not recognise my weight that it only went up to 300, after giving myself plenty of time to recover from this major surgery, I re-entered the weight loss program on July 30,09 , weighing in at 291 now. I had no problem with the insurance approval, everything went actually very smoothy and stress free, thank god, cause ive had my share of stress already. I have been working on my weight loss and I now weight 280 lbs as of 10/28/09 per the dr scale. so I have lost 20 lbs , a task I never thought I would be able to achieve.I am booked for surgery on Nov 9,09 and am very nervouse about it, not so much the surgery part, but how I will feel afterwards???Will I wake up and say "What the hell did I just do to myself" or will I feel ok enough to say, I think I made a good decision... I know that loosing this weight will help me with my medical ailments, I have sleep apnea, high blood pressure, feet and back pain,( herniated disk) Ulcerative Colitis which i have under control right now. And for the life of me can not get a good night sleep with all this back pain, going to get a new bed tomorrow and hopefully that will help.
