Thanks ladies! I totally agree about not making it a habit during active weight loss RM. I am fully aware that the band may not allow me to eat these things anyway.....and then maybe the next day it will, and not the next! LOL! I am keeping an open mind to all possibilities and outcomes....gonna take it day by day!

This worries me too. I had a nasty bout of food poisoning this past winter from bad salmon. Blech! I was violently ill in the middle of the night. I understand that it would be imperative to get in for an unfill but I live 1 1/2 hours away from my surgeon and should something like this happen again I would be in panic mode for sure!

Wondering if maybe u have the stomach flu? Otherwise, what is your surgeon saying?

If I can offer a glass half full opinion....I think it may be a good thing that you're getting something different than everyone else in your family! Noone to tell you how to do it....no know-it-all opinions...no RNY police to tell you how they did it differently than you are! This is YOUR band and you will rock it because you are having a unique experience compared to the others in your family and you can do it your own way!! No judgements! Yet they CAN be supportive of the journey in general!!

Maybe you can go to a local grocery store and get some soup by the hands, apple sauce and yogurts to get you through? I mean, we all have to be able to adjust to new situations and settings without compromising our bands, right?

I'm sorry your having a bad experience on here. I'm new too, and I have found people to be super supportive! Someone very wise once told me..."In order to HAVE a good friend, you have to BE a good friend." Loosely translated for this forum...maybe you can "meet" a few people on here by offering a kind word...lending some support...joining a group. NOT just looking for YOUR needs to be met and questions answered! I wish you the best of luck...turn that angst into determination and NOTHING will stop you!!

I want to run a 5k...not a marathon...not even a 10k...just want to run a 5k race. edit: oops...I'm posting in your Delaware forum...I just hit "new posts" and didnt realize where I was......but I still wanna run a 5k even if I have to come to Delaware to do it!!

I thought the same thing! Everyone was loving it and it is the one drink that has made me retch the worst! I am actually enjoying Atkins Premade Strawberry Shakes. The Chocolate Truffle by Nectar was okay. I bought some Muscle Milk today to try.

I am from NY, being banded on August 17th. I have a BMI of 44....265 lbs at 5'5".

I dont know.....maybe tell her that u can tll the difference in her confidence level?! She seems happier?!

I have always gone to Fitday.com but I have seen others mentioned, such as dailyplate, spark people, calorie king... What's YOUR favorite and why? I will be banded in August and I want to start getting used to one of them now!

I love Power90. Not to be confused with Power90X where u have to be a marine fresh out of boot camp....with a history of doing triathalons....while wearing a weight vest, to complete.

I have told my husband (obviously), my kids, 2 friends and everyone at work. I also work at a doctors office and I'm a patient there as well so my charts right on the wall for anyone to see.
