Hi everyone!!! I posted on manday that i was having my lapband removed on tuesday. I had it removed, but I am surprised that this is much harder recovery than getting the band put in. It's Friday and I cannot get down much and I am not hungry much. drinking lots of Water though I am also sooo bruised, escpecially the incision where I think the port was taken out. Anyone have similar problems?? Any advice?? thanks, Jennie

Just curious, has anyone had their dietician tell them that they don't have to drink their shakes anymore??? I am 8 1/2 mo. out banded and this is what I was told. She said I could get all my Protein from food now . That's a lot of food!!!! I don't agree and I still drink my 2 shakes a day. Jennie :smile2:

I had banding in May 09 have lost 45lbs. Had 4cc in between july and sept. had to have it all taken out in Oct. due to reflux problems. I do get more hungry than before. Now it is more of a mind over food journey. I miss the real FULL feeling, and I am getting about 1200 calories a day. but have not lost anything in the last 7 weeks. at times I get in an extra 200 calories. ANY SUGGESTIONS FOR ME? thanks, HOPEFULL IN OHIO

hope you heal fast!!! I too had my gallblader out but long ago in 92 a year after I was on the Optifast diet. I did try a fill the week before thanksgiving, 1cc. On the way home I started getting reflux. Had to wait 2 days to get it out. SO........ I guess no more fills. No more reflux though!!!!! If I still had it dr. said he would have to remove the band. I freaked when he said this and then cried on the way home. but luckily I am not haveing anymore reflux. Had my daughter bag up anything I might be tempted by in the house and put it where I can't see it or know where it is. still Hopefull
