Things sound like they are going okay for you. I am in the process of being banded at the moment. But sadly not getting banded until Feb next year. As i have to have insurance for 12 months first.

I have been approved, but I live in Australia, and you have to have private health insurance for 12 months before you can have the procedure, so i have until Feb next year until I hit the time line.
