I had my band put in almost 2 years ago. I have lost 67 lbs. I haven't been to the doctor or gotten a fill for almost a year. The last month or so I have noticed I can eat more than usual. Some days more than others. Has anyone gotten another fill this late after the surgery???

wow you are really hard on yourself!!! You have done so great!!! You have done like 3x better than I have at this point. Life is way to short to be regret letting yourself have a treat now and then. You must look wonderful. I thought I was tough on myself until I read your post!! Just concentrate on what you have accomplished, when I feel like I'm not where I want to be_ I think if I never had the courage to get the surgery I can only imagine where I would be now and how much more I would have gained. Thanks for the info on the fills.....I think I will be calling and getting in- its about time I get in anyway. I know one reason also for me not going in is I know they will be disappointed on my lack of weight loss so far. But I need to get going again. Thanks for you help!! -
I have had the band now for 1 year. Just found out I need to have a hysterectomy. Worried it will interfer with port or band. Has anyone had to have this done too??? thanks:confused:

Hey all. I have a friend here at work who is looking to get the lap band procedure in Mexico, as she is not covered here. I don't really know anything about that. I had my done here in the states. Anyone have any info that I can pass on to her- I would appreciate it. Thanks

I had my surgery on June 4th. I have not had any restriction until my last fill last week. I already am at 7cc. My doc thought if this didn't work I might have a leak in my band or some erosion. Thank god it did- and I do feel restriction for the first time. My question is how do I know if its the "sweet spot" - how will I know I'm getting the best restriction I can??? My doc cancelled my next appt (for next week) since I finally have restriction. So I am not scheduled for another fill until I call and think I need one. I'm just so happy to have some- and I finally found out what getting stuck means.......ouch!! So should I just go with this for now???? thanks for any help!!!

I just went in to get my 3rd fill - I have had no restriction yet. I was at 5.5 cc's and the doc said he was only going to put 1/2 cc in- that I should be restricted and he wouldn't want to put to much more in. HELP!! how many cc's did people have in before they felt restriction- or the sweet spot I read about?????? I'm worried now that this won't work for me!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I had surgery on June 4th. I just had my 2nd fill and nothing has changed. I still can eat a normal size meal- anything I want. I'm still going on will power.........and like usual some days are better than others. I'm hungry all the time and feel like I'm just on another diet. Does it really get better after you feel restriction??? I don't even have to chew anything...I try sometimes for practice.......but I know I don't have to- and sometimes don't. I walk everyday. I have lost 25 lbs since surgery..........I should be happy- but I just think of how far I have to go. Just getting frustrated I guess............how many fill and how did it change after the band actually "works",,,,,,,,I hate the feeling that everyone is waiting for me to lose _ I wish I never told anyone!!!!!
