I have gone down from a 48J to a 40J. (Yes I did say a J..) I have noticed that while I am still the same cup size, they are not as full as they once were, but a J, I am thinking I am ok if I do! lol...

OK Bj, I am confused are you saying the bartender SHOULD be held accountable for YOU making a choice, yourself and drinking? What happens to you being responsible for your own actions? Do you KNOW what a bartender makes an hour?? Throw babysitting into it, and there is no point in being one. Most do not make it a habit of serving those we feel are over the limit. But someone can be over their limit and the bartender NOT know it. We would be a very good example of that. We can not drink more than 1 and be over the legal limit almost.

I agree that you can help him, however I think it may be more of a teaching thing. If you can help him, buy him the things he wants and NEEDS to eat. Teach him how to take care of himself. At 15, he is not too young to take responsibility for his own life, even if it means going against your mom. I think you should sign them up for Honey We are Killing the Kids. That Tlc program. Maybe that will knock some sense into her!

Ok I used to be a bartender, and I agree that they have some responsibility to the rest of the world to cut people off when they are over the limit, BUT let's be realistic. THEY CAN NOT MONITOR everyone. They do not sign up to be babysitters, they are bartenders. I would make friends with my regulars and learn how to cut them off without making a big deal about it. BUT there have been times I have been physically assaulted for cutting someone off. The bottom line is, it is NOT a bartender's job to know YOUR limits. This is coming from someone who lost a family member to a drunk driver. I do not hold the bartender responsible. It was HIS choice to drink and drive. Bartenders actually take on a lot of roles that can help to cut someone off, but I do not feel that it ultimately their job. If I cut someone off, and they are determined to drink that night they will continue to do so.

Morning girls. I am wondering since we are all complaining that we are doing the right things but the scale is not moiving is that typical for this time of year or something? Something in the enviroment? lol...I have no clue just trying to make sense of this stuff! Thanks for the comments girls. If I didn’t understand why I was fat, no matter what I did I was bound to repeat it. My success would not come from me cutting anything out of my life, but adding something so much more, self love. Love in short, can move mountains, even when you place them in front yourself!

Like I said she was very non-shalant (sp) when she talked about it. She was using it to point out to me that I have nothing to worry about. Maybe she should have used something else! I don't have a problem with it, but I am convienced if I vommit once it is all over for me...lol...I am a freak I guess! Thanks again!

Ok Dr C, this slip thing scares the crap out of me. How hard is it to slip or is it not hard at all? I get nervous now even being around my kids when they are sick, I think in the end I could end up throwing up and then slipping. But my Dr is very blasie about it. She even told me about a paitent she has that throws up everytime he eat bc he has no idea what restriction is. Am I a worry wart? She makes me feel like I am. Is there any guidance with this??

Hey Ladies I am so freaking excited, I had to share with all of my girls.... I am in the middle of writing a book, on my weight loss journey. I have been shopping it around and have finally found an agent! No joke! I am so phyched. She is now shopping around my 1st couple of chapters to get me a book deal...I am so stoked! WOOO HOOOOO..... It has been my goal since I was like 8 to be published so this is really a big deal.

Very very true. I think that most of us never think of those situations, we only look in our back yard. Sad! I am at fault for this one as well. But my focus is here. We can not help anyone else until we can help ourselves.

BJ--I agree with you. I left a church because I was being told how to vote, not in a sermon, not in in those words but every action the church did. I was made to feel like I was a sinner because I am not a Republican. I never have been, nor will ever be! I believe strongly that my political beliefs do not belong to my church, nor should they be part of the decision whether I am a good christian or not. God will NOT send me to hell because I am a Liberal, I am sure of that. If so, I am pretty sure I will be meeting Mother Theresa down there as well! I agree that many christians are fast to point their fingers, but I am one to believe that when I point my finger, there are 4 pointing back at me. And, I am not God, nor should I make any judgements about how someone else chooses to live their life. I am not Republican because I feel that they do not support my goals in life. Not because I am pressured by my church to choose them. And if you are a member of a church where there is no political agenda, where are you? I seriously want to come.

She has a fever of 104, so I have no choice. Screw it if I fail the class, I wil fight it. Family first! Hope everyone else is feeling ok. Nasty weather here, just disgusting. UGH!

That is every church anymore. :eek: Makes it hard to take my children when the principles are missing.

Just goes to show we have come along way, because that is something generally that isn't said anymore, but we still have far to go. It was easier for white ethnic groups to assimilate into main stream, because well they were/are white. Someday I hope that race/color will no longer be an issue for all.

I have been banded on August 1st. I started at a size 28/30, barely fitting in those, but couldn't find any bigger clothes. Since then I have lost over 80 pounds. I am now a size 14/16, and I am sure those will be too big soon. So in my opinion I think I have lost some serious weight.

I agree with BV on this one Nat--her being rude is about her being insecure, nothing to do with you. She does notice and that is what counts. Ok, here is my two sense, and the future therapist in me! I understand why you and your husband were upset by his comment. I think that if you feel the need to confront him, there are ways that you can do it without being rude or cruel. You said he was new, so he would not know the history of the other churches. Explain to him that was the intent of the question with open, honest communication. There is no need to defend the fact you are not a racist, it is not the issue.

LAP BAND is the ONLY way to go! My mom just had a bypass, and is having a hell of a time. She is loosing weight, but also her hair! She hs also has had a stricture. Her friend just had a bypass this week and is havingv trouble as well. The bypass has alot of downsides. Research them both! GOOD LUCK!

Poodles, I am glad that you have made the right choice for you and your family. As for me, I am going to pray that you have your own surprise as we did, with my second Faith. I belive it may happen when you least expect it! I don't think you are selfish at all sweetie, I don't think anyone did!

I went to Lane Bryants and tried on 18, no too big....got all the way down to a 14 top!! I don't undertand it! lol....but I am worried because this is the last size before I have to leave my favorite store, actully the only place I have bought at for 8 years.....sSCARY
