Hello ladies Well I broke down and got a new scale. I hid it in a closet so he doesn't take it away too. I have lost 4 pounds since my fill. :eek: Feeling goos about that! Hope you are all well.

I agree, I now see the band as a bigger security blanket than food! That is what it takes I believe to let go of food as a friend. Good luck to all of you!

I was told up front to never have bread, Pasta or tortillas until I knew what they will do to me. The bread does expand in the stomach and can cause great pain. I am now able to eat brown rice, but not white. I am amazed at some of the things people are told or not told by their Drs. It is pretty darn scary if you ask me!

Thanks Steph! I am very particular on what I eat. I track everything, but I do splurge sometimes. I pay attention to everything and calories, looking at the portion size and calories really helps me. I am able to make decisions that way and decide if I really want it or not. I don't do salads, my Dr said they aren't a good choice. Just make it a habit to know how many calories go into your mouth, it helps alot!

Ok, I was a binger. I can not do it now if my life depended on it. I too swayed back and forth, the band was best for me. I am fulltime student @ MSU, so I don't have the luxury of taking alot of time off. A lot of bypass paitents are VERY sick. My mom is one them. She had it after me and is now regretting it. Research both, and choose what is best for you. BUT binge eating is not an option for me. Not that I want to anymore. I love the new me, and never want to mess it up. I asked my Dr about removing the band when at goal. He just looked at me and asked me if I had ever dieted before. Of course I said yes. He then asked if I had ever failed. Well, duh! I then got the point that this isn't a fad that is just there until I am skinny, it is a tool for the rest of my life! I would never ever have it removed. I am even wondering what happens to it after a TT. I don't want it out....ever!

WOW Kat! That is the craziest thing I have ever heard! I am not a homeschooler for my kids, I am very fortunate to have them at a charter school which is going great, but if we didn't have that option I more than likely would homeschool. Hard to believe that it could ever keep someone from fostering a child that needs love. Disgusting if you ask me!

Steph--awww sweetie! I am so sorry! I also DO NOT agree with him that you may need an unfill. I had my Dr argue with me once on that, and I was right. But I am glad it is what you needed. Sometimes the truth completely sucks, even though it is true! :car: You can get back on track girl, we are all here for you whenever you need us!! Claud--I am a BAD BAD girl. I have an occassional coke now and then, maybe 1 or 2 a month. I also do it when I get something stuck. I can't drink much of it though, gives me terrible tummy trouble. I miss it so. Ok, yummy, if you are doing it for YOU then you are doing it for the right reason. If you are sdoing it for him you are NOT!! Trust me, I am very experienced in this area! Feel free to PM on that subject... As for telling him, I think you have to do it to have an honest relationship. If you think he is going to try to talk you out of it, then tell him on the way there! I am just amazed that he knows nothing as of yet. Don't let him discourage you in anyway.

Ok yummie I can tell you that I almost chickened out as well. AND I got mine here in the states with my family. So I think you going to Mexico doesn't cause you to be scared! If you are ready to make the committment and change then you should do it. Many people have done it in Mexico, so please don't be scared of that! It is a decision that will change your life for the better, but any change is scary! I am so glad now that I didn't chicken out, it has paid off! Good luck!

I agree that adoption fees are high, but some of the fees are necessary. We are only looking at the documentation end of it, there is also the amount of money to take care of the child until adopted ect. But there is a line that needs to be drawn in the sand. We were going to adopt, but we could never afford the fees. I agree that you don't want just anyone adopting, but why only people with HUGE amounts of money to spare? A middle class family can raise a child just as well as an upper middle class, but could never afford the fees.

I absolutely agree Baby! I don't think she had any real idea what was going on. My grandpa was a big fan of the show, and I met Jim Bakker when I was like 7 or 8. He creeped me out then and I wasn't even old enough to know a damn thing. I don't think she knew entirely what was going on. She was raised I am sure to stand by her man and obey, so I doubt if she even questioned anything!

Brandi---YOU are a god woman, I say Athena!! OR maybe Venus. You shouldn't be surprised one bit QT! You deserve it!! Steph--You will loose the weight one pound at a time. Something that I have to tell myself daily is that it HAS to come off the same way it got on there, 1 pound at a time! Bandiva--it shouldn't feel weird that you are being noticed now! Hello my lovely ladies~ Well I made it back from the trip without killing mommy dearest. I even manage to let most of her b.s. roll off my back! She did say something wonderful that made me happy! She told me I was beginning to look like Dolly Parton. All boobs and a tiny waist. That made feel good, and I took it as a compliment! Had a great time with the girls all weekend and David was on his best behavior. He was very nice. Quite a change. We went tubing and for once I didn't feel like a beached whale in a bathing suit. That felt great. We were looking at pictures yesterday and Brooke said "There is fat Mommy. I hate fat Mommy. She needs to work out." It totally surprised the hell out of me. I told her that was me, and she said "No, you aren't fat." I was sad, and tried to talk to her about it, but it is hard. She is 8 and absolutely hates me fat. Kids can be strange. I have no scale anymore. David took it away from me. :think For my own good of course. I am going to see how long I can go without it. I was a bad girl all weekend. I had smores and other junk. BAD BAD!! Good thing there is no scale here.

Ok Princess, arms down they look AWSOME. Arms up yes, I can see what you have a problem with. I have been reasearching PS and I think we are alike. I don't really care if they look natural, they need to look perfect to me. But I am conflicted because arms down, they are drop dead gorgeous girl! I would talk to the Dr NOW about options, and then decide. They need to know you have a problem now to be able to fix it later. But I would not rush into any decision yet. They do look pretty damn great.

I lost a ton of hair for about 6 months starting at month 5 or so. I am almost 1 year and it has slowed down. I tried Biotin, and nutrition. Didn't help me that well. BUT it is better and I am feeling less freaked out. I did go out and get a nice cut to make it LOOK fuller too. That helped me feel less critical about myself.

JIL--CONGRATS to you girl! Woo hooo!!!!!!!!!! Annie--I am feeling alot like you as well. My "best friend" only calls me when she needs some money or something. Or when she wants to totally bitch about her man. I have made some very dear friends on here, but still not the same as someone here with you! Nat--I typically gain about 5 during Aunto Flo, so I think it is possible. You have to think about all the extra water we retain then. So it isn't you, blame horrible PMS. I am off for the weekend with my parents and the family. I am so not looking forward to it. I am begging to hate my mom after her bypass. All she does is compete with me, nothing I do is good enough on its own. And now she is having pretty severe problems with her bypass, and insitant that I am sick as well. Dumb ass. I can not get her to understand that I loose by portion control NOT malnutrition as she does. How can you have a surgery and not know all the facts??? Ugh....Wish me luck girls. Weigh 1 time a day in the am after a tinkle. ANd ONLY then!
