I have my PA who works with the surgeon fill me. She actually does a much better job and listens to me much better than the surgeon! She is just as qualified as him!

Hi Dianne-- I am doing great as well. I am very happy with my success. I was to get PS in December, but there was a mix up there, so I am in limbo. My last 15 pounds are pretty much nasty skin! lol.... I live in Michigan, a bit far from Houston! lol...so sorry I won't be able to make it! lol... :mad:

ROTFL...ok girls this strip club disscussion has got me laughing!! Yes, there is a hell of difference from a sleazy club and a classy club. How do I know?? I used to work at a strip club, yeah with my boobs go figure hu? lol...yeah, I was a dancer! I worked at a very very nice club, members only actually. BUT what sucked was the nasty ass club down the street. Guys would do there and "get stuff" from girls. Yeah you know what I mean. AND come to ours with a member and think they could get that from us. Didn't work that way with me for sure. They can be alot of fun if they are classy, clean and the girls are the same way! You can tell alot about a club from the sign! I go now occasionaly with DH and friends, just for fun. BUT make sure it is a nice clean club with nice clean girls, trust me. OR you will get offers that make you blush! lol...

I agree there are lots of ways to make your band work, but I don't think they are gimmicks. Except for the holding breath thing, that just sounds plain nuts. I am so sorry your Dr mislead you, I am sure it was out of ignorance of the band. I was taught it is a tool and you have to treat as such. My Dr made it clear to me that it wasn't a quick fix. I am so sorry your did not, maybe that adds to some of your frustration and adds to the lack of loss. Gatorade Rain is good but it certainly NOT meant to replace water. I agree there are probly too many calories in it to drink constantly. A great thing for water is fresh lemon. I love to add it to my water, even in water bottles. You can really add any fresh fruit to give it a little flavor, it may help you! I think you are faced with more challenges than many and may need to see a Dr that is more specialized to help you. If you really have messed up your metabolism the band may not work right no matter what you do. 1200 calories is certainly within range for weight loss and good, I would start investigating Drs in the area to help you.

You know I think the confidence boost was the best part. I didn't have to do the "Check to see if you fit" thing before you go into the line or get to the top and do the "walk of shame" because I didn't fit. That truly was the best part. I hadn't been on a ride in 6 years because of my weight!

I only buy sale items now and shop mostly at a resale shop. I take my clothes there and sell them. SO I get money to buy new clothese there. It is a really nice shop too, mostly "high" name brand at lower prices! I can not wait to know what size I really am going to be so I can buy some business suits. I have not worn one in about a year to work, and it is killing me! lol...
