Hello all, I want to know if I am the only one in this situation or I am not alone. Maybe someone can help me. My DH pushed me to loose weight. And now that I have he no longer kisses me, minimal sex, never tells me I look good, the list can go on and on.....I feel like he doesn't support the new me, the more I loose the farther away we are. Anyone else experience this? Is there a way to help it or am I just doomed?

Nina I would say yes, I have swopped my obsession with food for another, but this is a healthy obsession i believe! We have no choice food is all around us, we have to think about it. I am much happier and healthier with this obsession! :confused:

I can tell you first off you need to get the binge eating under control. You can eat your way around the band and hurt yourself, so I would recommend getting help first. Most Drs will not band you if you have an eating disorder. I have never heard of the band as a treatment for binge eating, yes it does restrict you but you can still get around it!

I go to the chriropractor now, I have no problems and get everything done that I did before. I recenly had a car accident and I have to go 3 times a week to help with the whiplash. I am now back to once a few weeks and doing great! GOOD LUCK!

Ms Smarty Pants-- I can give you some tips, but I can also honestly tell you it will only take a few times (or maybe one time) of you overeating and you won't do it again! I promise you that! I now use small children size plates. Obvisouly I have to put less on them. When I am out to eat I ask for a box as soon as my meal comes or before, you'll get used to the stares (trust me) and box up half or more depending on where I am at! I don't want all that food on my plate. This is a readjustment in your thinking, but actually not a readjustment in what is normal. As overweight people we ate well more than what our body needed, it wasn't normal! So if for one second you think you are being deprived, remember what you used to eat was just NOT normal!

She said to me "I can't believe you are back after surgery so fast! You look great!!" WOOOO HOOOO!! It took me a minute to convience her that I hadn't had it yet, but she was convienced I did!
