I have been thinking and really while the weight loss is great, I think it is the little things that mean the most to me! Let's start a list of all those things we did (or didn't) know we missed! Mine: 1. My kids being able to hug me all the way with their arms wrapped around me. 2. Getting an airplane seat belt to fit without the extender and lots of room to spare. 3. Not having to try to see if something comes in a BIG enough size or trying to squeeze into a 3x because they don't make it any bigger... 4. Fitting in a movie seat comfortably and plenty of room! 5. Having other people never know a fat chick still lives in my head! :cool:

LJM, we all have bad times. I know you and I am sure you would agree if you thought about it you are being hard on yourself! You have done a great job, one day is not a reason to beat yourself up. You are trying very very hard. I am sorry you had a bad day, but you are strong enough to get through it. So you choose to go the wrong way to deal with it, get over it and move on! You are worth more than to keep beating yourself up over a mistake!

I felt the same way Cindy. Isn't it sad we can feel so violated and humiliated but scared to speak up at the time? All I wanted was to get out of the middle of the damn airport where everyone could see me being 'felt up'. Why do they have that power over us?

I hate snow, I hate it like nothing else in my life. Makes me wonder why the hell lI live here...lol... My bday is the 7th. I have to be gone all weekend for work for a freaking strategic planning, it will suck. But I won't be able to leave the building so if it snows I won't see it...grrr....

Sorry that happened to you but that says a hell of alot about what kind of people they really are! I think they are selfish, rude and obviously intimidated by you! You should actually feel proud that you are not part of that in crowd. I wo9uld be the woman who's bday it was a card and be sure to point out that you were not there because they didn't invite you.

Thanks Steph, I actually am going to complain as well. I got the fulo rub down in the middle of the room. Much fun, I did get a bit pissed off and told her to "At least buy me a drink first". Didn't go over so well, but I was upset and embarassed.

I do pinapple juice, but I found that papaya tablets work as well for me, and much easier to carry in your purse! (And no shooting star effect either)

I 100% know why I was fat, and yes I do have issues. I spent my childhood being sexually abused and raped. My teen years I was a stripper to gain control of my body. Then of course after I became a Mom I had to make another career choice, and had to find another way to control my body. Being overweight is a good way to make sure no one hurts you, at least it was for me. So yeah, I have issues, now I have no way to deal with them.

I am sorry, same thing happened to me on the 14th when I flew. I flew last year and had no problems, but now I think I set it off because it is no longer surrounded by fat.

I agree it takes a bit more work to eat right, but so worth it. Even without loosing weight your body will feel a ton better.

I do Thanksgiving at MY house now, with just the DH and the kids. Then I can control what I eat without praying no one is watching. I like it better that way. Xmas is going to be the same!

Thank you sweet, I think, no I know you are exactly right. If I had to make a list of my friends he would not be on it. That is sad. I need to fix that. He told me that he felt alone and he had no one. I think I have shut him out, I know why I am mad, but it really seems stupid in the big picture.

Kiwi dear, ok please understand that what I am about to say comes from love... DEAR GOD put down the pizza, step away from the nachos and get real! The band does not choose what you will eat, you do. You have to make good food choices. You need to make yourself makes good choices or there really is no reason to go on. The band is a tool, not the cure. You have to work it or you will not be able to loose. PM me if you want more help. I am more than happy to help, but first get rid of the bad food!

There is a thead about this already but I will tell you just like what we all loose, eat, and ect how we do flying is different! I have flown 5 or so times now since banded. Only had a bad experience 1 time, but I was already too tight, the cabin pressure made it worse for me. I did set the thingy off this time on the way there, but not on the way back...lol..strange.

Hello my lovely ladies! I have missed you all. Sorry I have had damn in laws here, been depressed and just plain worn out! lol... My MIL went home, she pissed me off so bad. She tore up my house more than my freaking kids. It sucks. She didn't even put her own dishes in the sink....UGH... MY FIL is staying here for another 2 weeks for hunting season. I f*ing hate it. He is just as bad. I can't handle all this extra work. UGH. I went shopping Black Friday, that was a ton of fun! Got lots of great deals, I am almost done now! WOO HOO!! David & I had a big blow out and I asked for a divorce. He didn't take it well. He told me all the things I have needed to hear for so long and realy faught for us. It amazed me. We are going to get help. I don't know anymore, but I am willing to give it one last shot for my kids. They were a wreck, it killed me. I need to find my passion for my marriage, I have none. I know he can be an asshole, but I can tell he wants to change and keep me. That means alot.

NOO you can not leave. I think things have been a bit crazy here lately. I have been laying low and ignoring some threads, I feel better that way. just don't leave, we need you.

I had the best week ever! I went to Cali on a business trip. People who haven't seen me in a year, did not recognize me. Most people, I mean 90% had no idea who I was. Of course that felt great, but there was one compliment that stood out... "She looks great now, but of course we loved her before" my friend Chris told his friend who couldn't stop talking about how much I had lost.

Hey guys! I got THE BEST compliment ever over the weekend! My best friend in high school saw me for the first time in about 13 years at a family wedding. Before she even said hello she screamed at me (with lots of exploitatives) "OH my God, you B*tch. I can not belive you look exactly the same as you did in high school. I hate you!" I cried then and there! Then I had to explain why...lol... What is the best thing compliment you have heard lately? Let's share those things that made us smile!

I would like to comment on your NY Times Article “The Stomach Surgery Conundrum” and the blatant level of arrogance and ignorance you have achieved. It must be that neither of you have never been overweight, nor this subject would have been tackled with more tact (Not that you used any what so ever to begin with) and knowledge. If you had done more research, or even used a bit of common sense you would know that WLS is not an easy decision, nor an easy process! <o:p></o:p> <o:p></o:p> WLS is for most of us a last resort for an addiction, that addiction is food. We have a major disadvantage, we need food to live, and we can not just cut it out like a drug addict! Many of us have struggled with weight so long and become so morbidly obese there is no other option, because being a mother of two young children, for me death was NOT an option! I find your thoughts that we should just hang something gross around us not only rude, pig headed but at a new level of disgusting!
