I think you aren't looking at the facts that surround this case. You sound concerned and practive in your child's health. In the case here the mom literally fed him fast food 6-8 times a day, that was it. She refused counceling when offered. You are doing the right thing by teaching er portion control and no no to fast food. I don't think you are a case of where intervention is called for at all!

Ok, FYI. Dundee is near me (if this is Dundee Michigan) Anyways here in Jackson we had a 7 year old boy taken from his mom. He was pushing about 200. She was charged with child abuse and convicted. She wouldn't stop feeding him fast food 6+ times a day. I agree child abuse it is...

No you aren't SUPPOSED to call, but I did. I got it done myself. That is the kind of person that I am. Call with concern first, and if you find the right person they will help you get it done. You can tell if they are willing to help right away. Call back if that person won't help. I think it took me 6-8 people before I found the right person who would help me.

Cheryl Ann Welcome to LBT and congrats on your surgery. Insurance sucks no doubt. I had to keep calling constantly, I finally got the right person who helped me get everything taken care of, he took 1 day to do it! Keep calling, be persistent! The squeaky wheel gets the grease! Good luck!

My TT and Breast reduction is schedualed for May 6th. My insurance is covering most of it, I will have about $2k out of pocket.

AMEN! I feel the same way! Say whatever you want here, but don't ever expect not to get flack if you upset someone! I don't think anyone is crushing her btw, definately calling her out on the carpet! FYI got blood drawn today. The Dr is definately thinking it is nutrition for me. I am now 12 pounds past goal and he is not happy with me. He wants me to see my surgeon on do an unfill. I will keep you all updated! THANKS!

SURE! DO whatever you want as long as it is liquid. Try 3 beers a day. You should feel GREAT! :wink:

You're very welcome, I think it is one thing they never tell us in the pre op classes. Once I figured it out, it helped keep me sain!

It happened to me too. You're not alone. I didn't go to the Dr though, I just drank 5 Mt. Dew's and it cured me....all better! Just eat whatever you want as long as you cream it first ok?

What do you think these symptoms mean.... WELL I don't know, let me check my MD degree and get back to you..... grrrrr.......:wub:

I am a full time student as well at Michigan State. Be careful, LBT can get very addciting and take you away from your studies..lol...I know unfortunately...lol... I was banded almost 2 years ago, while in college.
