Hospice care is for a disease or illness that is terminal, but expected to last 6 months or less. But because of the way things run their course different in each person it can last much longer. But generally hospice is fofr 6 months or less. The anticipation is 6 months or less but can be more. But Grace, there are things that you can do in this case. The first thing is to get together with your other sisters and get power of attorney. You need to do this with haste. Once your sister begins to make decisions she will set precendence. You can not let that happen. I agree to check and see if your mother has a living will, or living trust. Does she have a DNR or other orders? You need to know all of these things. I am getting my degree in Human Aging and deal specifially in these things. They can be very tricky when it comes to family, good luck!

I get crap all the time from RNY. I had one tell me that I had the surgery that makes you throw up all the time. I told her at least I didn't have the one that made you shit all the time. I am sick of it being us against them. My mom had the RYN and even she is like that. I get to show off though when I go to the Dr. They make a big deal about me there bc I am the most sucessful bandster they have ever had, so I get more attention. I love it and a few times I have swayed people away from the RNY. I am NOT a fan of obesityhelp because of the RNYsters over there.

I know you are right Mac. But it really is so damn hard for me. I have lots of friends but no one I ever get close to. I just don't open myself up. I think I am very jaded right now. My former best friend literally dropped me right before my PS. I was to be a bridesmaid in her wedding and everything, and she quit talking to me. She talks to me now, but it is weird. We will never be the same, I wasn't even invited to the wedding. She says she was never mad at me or anything. SO why even bother anymore? :thumbup:

Thanks everyone. I am feeling better. My mom has resinded the "I am not taking her". I got really bitchy with her. They complain that they never see my kids and when given the opportunity they blow it. I told her she should feel sad about how she is making her GD feel. My daughter was devestated. SO they are going to rearrange their plans (which they made after) and take her for a few days. Her reasoning was bs. She said she forgot, but we have been confirming it for months and months now. My mom and I have a not so good relationship. She competes with me. She had the bypass a few months after I did the band. She is the one now telling me that I am anorexic and she needs to "have an intervention" with me. WTF? I haven't lost anything since PS. She told me the other day my cheecks look sunken in.....c'mon. You guys see me all the time, do I look anorexic? lol... LuLu can I come to Texas? I love all of those things! lol... Losing--literally no one but my parents and my DH parents have ever ever watched my kids. I have some issues with that. My bf is always too busy, although I can watch her boy anytime. Since all of the weight loss I pretty much only have a few friends far away and all of you. Who of course I would DIE without! I love you all! I must be a real bitch now cuz no one likes me... Sorry pitty party over....ugh....

Kathy I thought I would go nuts before I was released for exercise. I think waiting was the worst thing ever. DD let me pack her stuff yesterday, so she is changing her mind a bit. I will let you know if she goes.....

I have to rant and race. I am so freaking pissed off I could blow fire from my mouth. My oldest is going to GS camp. Well the plan has been SINCE February that my parents were taking my youngest for the week. My DH never get time alone, and that is not a lie. In the 9 years I have been a mother my kids have been watched by a babysitter 0, yes 0 times. Our family lives 2 houirs away so it has been AT LEAST 2 years since we have goen out together. Well mommy dearest tells me that they are not taking Faith now. THe day before we were supposed to take her up there, It is total BS. NO wonder I hate my family. F*CK.... No wonder my marriage is to shit too....grrrrr....thanks for listening! :scared2:

80's chick I am so sorry you had to go through this, but chalk it up to a very hard lesson to learn! It could have been SOOOO much worse! You could have damaged your band or your body. It sucks you had to go through this, but maybe it is what your body needed before you really caused problems. Your pride will heal hunny! Good luck! And BIG hugs!

Thanks guys. I am getting back to things pretty good. I got a call from PS yesterday. He won't move the port at the same time as the revisions, so I will be having 2 more surgeries. I was hoping he could fix that screw up as well, but oh well. I am sure it will be better to have the Bariatric place fix it, I jsut don't want 2 big scars on my tight tummy! I am loving bikinnis now! lol... Went running last night and took my 9 year old. She fell it was so horrible, cuts all over, stiches on her elbow. I feel so horrible, she is supposed to leave for GS camp tommorow and now doesn't want to go..... I guess from now on I will leave my exercise obsession for just me! :scared2:

My oldest stays up for DAYS literally at a time. No one can figure out what is wrong with her, she goes to a neurologist after camp. Do you think I should warn them ahead of time?? lol...:biggrin2:

I was a lot like you with my IVF, however I can't tell you how much of it might be real and how much in your head. But one thing to think about is that if it has implanted your body will be reacting to it, and you could be sensitive to it. I don't want to get your hopes up, I have been there. Good news I was pregnant and I knew it right away no matter what the Dr says! Good luck to you!

I agree with Jen on this one! I think he is just into the attention and maybe not you. Sounds horrible, but guys can be completely lame. Ignore him and make him do some work! If he is REALLY interested he will come around! :thumbup:
