    hello

Hello, as you can tell by my photo i am so happy to be obese!!!!!NOT!!!!!!!!! I am currently waiting for August to come so I can have my surgery, I am scared though. I figure that the benefits must hopefully outweigh the risks. I just want to be happy and I want my family to be proud of me. I want to be able to play with my beautiful children instead of watching from the sidelines, I want to get of the zoloft and start living. Reading all of your blogs has given me a better real world understanding of what to expect and the courage to follow through. Thankyou. xxxxxxxxxxxx:unsure:

    hello

Long time no blog!! I am doing so well, I exercise for an hour everyday and am consistently losing weight and I haven't even had the band filled yet (my wound took forever to heal!!). I have so much more energy and now people are starting to comment on how much weight I have lost, which is around thirty kilos at present, nearly half way already!!! My future is looking brighter everyday!! xx

    worried

Hi, I am just wondering if anyone else has had really painful swelling at the port and band opening? I had my surgery monday and the lady next to me had hers at the same time. She did not seem to be in any where near as much pain as i was, the pain is a lot more extreme than i thought and i am freaking out a bit!! I was just wondering if anyone else had a lot of pain also?

    worried

Thank you for all your support. It has now been one week two days since my surgery, I reckon on the fifth day I finally started to feel better and since then I have got better everyday. The port wound has bled a little bit after a shower which was quite scary, I had to go to the doctors to get them to clean it up and bandage it. But other than that all is good! I have lost seven kilos since I had the surgery a week and a half ago and hopefully by christmas I will only have thirty kilos to go! I can't wait! Well wishes to everyone xxxxxx.

Wow, the 2nd day is worse!

it is so refreshing to hear that i am not the only one in so much pain, not to mention that when they tool out my breathing tube they scraped my throat and now i have this dangly bit that makes me dry reech which in turn kills my wounds. I had my surgery on Monday, so only two days ago, please tell me it gets better.
