Tina- 43 lbs is 43 lbs!!!! you're on a steady pace to not yo-yo so I wouldn't worry too much. I need to focus on not gaining any of my weight back between now and the 10th. I'm just hanging out in my room now kinda bored, supposed to meet up with co-workers for dinner later.

hi from Fresno! OMG it's 105 and the pool at this hotel is closed for remodeling. and of course the building we're working in is a cool 60. Anyway, tina I'm sorry you're not 100% yet but I guess everything takes time. Hi Riley WB from camping don't worry, the camping pound or 2 will come off. Nicole that does suck about the job...but everything happens for a reason (you may not see it now) but I'm sure you're gonna look back and say glad that didn't come through then. Welcome Hot2 this is a great group with tons of good wisdom from every spectrum of the process. ok, I'm not being very good...there are tons of snacks around and I'm eating nuts and trail mix like it's the thing to do. Argh...i need to go home!

Candra woo hoo! Alright it sounds like we will be having surgery around the same time. I'm so excited for both of us. Happy B-day to hubby. I know for a fact it's harder to loose the older we get. It must be a hormone thing, argh. anyway why is everyone so quite lately? I'm trying to loose more weight for cushion so I've kicked my exercise program into high gear, walked the bridge tonight with my daughter. She's going to be my support person throughout so she's going to go with me all week.

oh Tina hope you feel better. Is this band related? so here's my update for the evening. I got a call from Kaiser and set my CM appt for Aug 10th. They say they have surgery appts for Aug and Sept. My boss is going on vacation for 3 weeks in Aug so I'll need to push my surgery out till early Sept. I'm ok with that, it will give me more time to prepare. I'm going to try and loose another 5-10 lbs by then. I also need to focus on the strict eating habits so I'll have a smooth transition. I'm sure I'll need all your support and answers to my silly little questions. Hope everyone had a nice Monday. I've got a busy week; going to Fresno Wed.

hmm that's good to know. I was in the hospital for chest pain earlier this year, they ran every test under the sun turns out it was a really really bad case of gas. So Dr Park said she was going to use those results, but that was 3 months ago so maybe I'll have to do them again.

ok I'm not going to worry myself about what may or may not happen. But I'll tell you I had a panic attack when I got my cpap machine. I couldn't breath and went nut right in the Drs office. I'm ok with pain so I hope I don't have the breathing problem because I'm sure it will be all bad.

good evening ladies, Wow Nicole, sounds like it was a horrible experience, glad Auds is doing better. I'm sure it was all heat related. Sometimes family can be very insensitive, even though they think they are offering up good advice and words of wisdom. Perhaps it's because they can't talk that stuff to non family members. You know Candra when I fall off the wagon I have a cup of green tea or something to kind of detox and get right back on program. It's probaly all in my mind but I feel like I have a clean slate so try it. I know i'll be having some tonight. I went out with my girlfriends today for lunch and I ordered the tostada salad and really didn't eat much but I made up for it in chips...way off program. I really have a hard time hanging out with my friends. I hate feeling like I can't participate, I mean I can but I just don't know when to stop.

Riley you have to crate some stuff. Im not vegetation but I know how to make up a dish with my favorite on program foods. lentil or tofu salad? put them in little 1/2 cup containers so it's alway grab and go. You can be hanging out with them by the campfire with your little container and a cocktail with your no carb mix and no one will no the difference. so many people going camping...we should really get a trip going. Have fun and don't worry about the others or being embarrassed. and if you do PB blame it on the heat!

Good evening ladies- so Reggies question really made me think (why get the band?) Well I never considered it until my primary said I should look into it because she thought surgery would prevent me from having another “event” and alleviate some of my health issues. I’ve already had a heart attack. She and I have been going around and around for a while, her trying to get me to loose some weight. I know I’m on the lower side of the weight scale but why wait til I hit 250? I’ve have not lost any weight since having my twins 20 years ago. I figure something’s got to give! Top 5 reasons Jes is getting the band 5 . make better food choices 4. not having to take 9 pills a day to stay alive 3. shopping in the regular section…what the hell the “Petites” 2. becoming more active (better sex), need I say more? 1. leading a healthy happy life From what I see here the struggles are no different no matter what size you are. Hope you all had a nice Saturday, gosh the weekends almost over ugh!

In the beginning I said I'm just going to go though the whole process and then change my mind if I want. BUt after hanging out here with you ladies I'm convinced that I want the band just to keep it off. So I know I'm not changing my mind.

it's funny I have dr. park and after talking about my history she asked if I had an idea of what I wanted and i said lapband. She said based on everything she saw she would recommend the lapband too. So we barley talked about RNY. It could have something to do with my size and all of my health issues. I don't know.

Reggie- I'm not sure what I want my goal to be....Dr park says it should be 120 but I don't know I'm thinkin more like 140ish but god only knows, I'll cross that bridge when I get closer. ok I'm slow, what's your next question? OMG! why hasn't kaiser called me back? I need to know what's next:redface:

Hi-ya, you all are on a roll today. Riley thanks for your posts!! There are so many mis conceptions out there about "the surgery" I'm glad to hear that you can have your occasional indulges. Originally I was worried that all those things would be gone for me. I mean I like wine....don't need sweets but a glass of wine now and again is something I enjoy.

yea, what are you going to do? suck it up and pinch pennies. Supposedly they are doing the furlough so they don't have to lay anybody off. Luckily we have a 4 person unit and what we do is a national requirement.
