    oh don't know if you all noticed but I moved my ticker back up since my weight gain. ugh... but I'm down 2 lbs since last week. I'll wait another day to update it tho.

    Reggie, Candra, to know me is to love me :scared2: just keeping it real.... Candra that's funny you mentioned the Doctors. In the last day or so I found out John Daly the golfer has the band and now the coach for the NY Jets got it the other day. I guess it's only key if you follow sports. Just seems like it's all I hear on the TV lately. Really getting popular. Nicolie how ya doing? missing the hubby? Guess you'll have to honeymoon all over. Yeah John warm up to Dr Who for Nicolie.... hehehe Today has been a much better day food wise for me. I'm slowly getting off the carbs this week. My exercise has been real good I walked the bridge Sat, Sun & Mon. Only thing is I may have tweaked my achilles heel. I can hardly put pressure on it. We'll see how it goes tomorrow. Heather, I eat in front of the computer all the time it's the only thing that will slow me down. ok my food for today... B=DECALF coffee yippie!!, laughing cow light cheese wedge L=inside of one soft taco s=handfull of cashews (not so good) D=got a pc of grilled chicken warming in the oven.

    September 2009 Band Date

    Hey there everyone, This week marks 2 milestones for me 6 mo post op and 1 year since I started this journey. I have my orientation on St Pattys last year. Even though I'm not where I want to be I think about the fact that in one year I've loss about 35 lbs no way could I have done this and kept if off without the band. I went in the other day and got my 2nd fill I'm up to 5 cc's now. I was up 2 lbs not really doing what I was supposed to do. I feel some restriction I just need to listen to my band and not over do it. Wish me luck. I have a mini goal of another 10 lbs by mothers day. I've been really trying to stick to 1/2 cup and get my exercise in. Oh a retreat would be fun I'll look forward to hearing more. Take care, hope everyone is making healthy choices.:wink2:

    Hey there everyone, just wanted to check in been on the go. Got my fill yesterday now I'm up to 5cc's. Pretty happy about that. Dr P was cool even though I gained 2 lbs.....oops! You all sound like your doing great. All the post-ops are moving right along Pat, John, Nicolie, Lee, Tam who did I miss?. And you pre-ops wow Analynn, Ash, I know somebody else is close....Sounds like you're up next. HOpe everyone else is doing ok.....Heather our new gym queen. MO what's shakin chick? Pam, Reggie, Candra, Tina where are you? Riley, we know how YOU doin :blushing: Ok, I need to get some stuff done before bedtime which it is already. Check in later. Happy Friday!!!!

    Annalynn that's so good to hear! yes call and set your appt with liz, sometimes it take a while to get in. I think you need to go weigh in at a local kaiser and have them log it 1st. So i made my food for tomorrow tuna trying to get back to basics. perhaps a cheese wedge for breakfast. gosh I hope I can get a fill next week.....Reggie you still going?

N E way here is my food for today B-coffee, light laughing cow cheese wedge L-ceasar salad w/chicken s-handfull of cashews D-??? suggestions no exercise... too lazy this morning.

    hey there everyone.... Heather those pictures are unbelievable can you imagine what you will look like next year after you've been banded? woah...Oh you have the same b-day as my daughter. Tina wow, I'm so sorry you are going through this. But I like your determination. Seems like all the emails alone should let Baggs know you are serious. OMG Riley sounds like we are in the same boat. I'm totally addicted... I need to get on the no carb wagon myself. I didn;t see the girl scout cookies because they were selling worlds finest in front of Lucky by my house...oops! JOhn & Lee sounds like you are doing good....NIcolie TOM definitely has something to do with it. at least you are staying still. So It sounds like the walk is off for this weekend. I think is going to rain and I'll tell you that bridge is no fun in the rain. I've walked it in the rain. I'll look forward to going to Pat's on the 20th hopefully we have some spring weather. In the meantime I'm going to keep at my elliptical and try and sneak in a walk here and there.

Well I'm trying real hard to loose a few more pound before I go to see Dr P next week. argh so tough especially since I have no restriction. so far B-2 pcs toast (Bad choice) L-bacon lettuce & tomato salad (copied from cheesecake factory) d-? I walked the bridge yesterday and today hope everyone is having a good sunday...

    Does anybody have port pain that's had their band for a while? Mine hurts like it's pulling weighing down my muscle. hmmmm I guess I can ask Dr P but it seems to hurt when I move or stretch etc.

    Candra today is my daughters b-day so I'm leaving work early tomorrow and we are going to hang out so tomorrow isn't good. I'm around the rest of the weekend. Tamra I see you've got a easter goal, great. I wasn't very successful with my mini goals. I hope to loose about 5 pounds by my fill date so we'll see. BTW I think everything is a slider if you have no restriction like me.

    Hey John congrats on the 9 pounds. you too Lee on your weight loss. Today was a pretty good day B=coffee (from home), 1 cup chicken salad L=tomato soup with cheese on top D=steak about a cup and 4 french fries (not so good) Yea Tamra, do like me go ahead eat chicken for breakfast or what ever you like. How's work Pat, Nicolie taking it easy? Candra you feeling better? I've got that package for you. I don't think I making the Sac meeting. I need to do some house work. I hope to pull out some more clothes before we meet up in Petaluma though.

    Hey Reggie, I have my appt w/ Dr Park on the 10th at 10am. What time is yours? I was going to go to work after but maybe I'll take the whole day off and we can hang for a while.....So you know what this means we need to do this together I need to loose at least 5 lbs by then. What's our plan?

    I often wonder about my band too, being stretched. You all have seen how much I can eat. For example tonight I had about a cup of beef stew. I only put the beef and a little liquid in my bowl. I left off the potato and carrots. I full but now over full I don't think. THe thing is I don't want to eat that much. I think I need at least another cc up to 5 or 5.5 All of my food goes straight through. Tamra I think Tina is right you may want to go easy on the carbs since they are so addicting. John I know what you mean about getting restless. Four weeks is a long time in the world of daytime tv. Beatriz so glad you checked in with us...I can't advise you on the unfill since My band is no where near full Happy Bandiversary Riley! I'm glad to hear from you. You always have good stuff to say and advice that's right on time. Heather you are rockin that exercise and the gym keep it up. Canolie, get some rest if you can tonight going back to work is a shock to the system and sitting at your desk probably did get your port hurting. Oh I'll walk the bridge with you & Tam. I was planning to do that anyway this weekend.

Well bring it on we can handle it :redface: So we went to the crab feed last night it was a lot of fun. luckily for me the garlic bread wasn't tasty and the salad was too tangy so it was all crab for me. woo hoo Got my body magic stuff today. Hey Mo I got the T shirt and really like it. ok just wanted to check in, gotta go do the dishes. ttyl

    Hey there everyone. John & Lee how ya feeling today? John you rock I love your attitude. Lee I'm guessing your son is home with you now. It's probably a good thing that he came after a day or so since you were in so much pain in the beginning. Ali wow great weightloss! Dr P may let you set a surgery date right away. Tamra, you don't have to lie. I've been telling Robin and Liz that I'm struggling which I am, hungry all the time. You don't have to go into as many details if you don't want to. Because she will surely tell the Doc. Anyway speaking of messing up....I'm going to a crab feed at church tonight. I gotta focus on only the crab and not the garlic bread :thumbup: I know I know... I've been doing good with my tuna and egg salad. That's pretty much all I've had these last few days. So I'll be going to the store to pick up more for this week. Oh the best part I've lost 2 lbs. hopefully it's not a false positive since I seem to be gaining and loosing the same 5 lbs. Hope everyone has a nice saturday. I better get in gear and do my saturday errands.

    Hey everyone, so someone sent this to me at work and it's so true I had to post it....enjoy! A WOMAN'S WEEK AT THE GYM If you read this without laughing out loud, there is something wrong with you. This is dedicated to everyone who ever attempted to get into a regular workout routine. Dear Diary, For my birthday this year, my Husband (the dear) purchased a week of personal training at the local health club for me. Although I am still in great shape since being a high school football cheerleader 43 years ago, I decided it would be a good idea to go ahead and give it a try. I called the club and made my reservations with a personal trainer named Christo, who identified himself as a 26-year-old aerobics instructor and model for athletic clothing and swim wear. My husband seemed pleased with my enthusiasm to get started. The club encouraged me to keep a diary to chart my progress. ________________________________ MONDAY: Started my day at 6:00 a.m. Tough to get out of bed, but found it was well worth it when I arrived at the health club to find Christo waiting for me. He is something of a Greek god - with blond hair, dancing eyes and a dazzling white smile. Woo Hoo!! Christo gave me a tour and showed me the machines. I enjoyed watching the skillful way in which he conducted his aerobics class after my workout today. Very inspiring! Christo was encouraging as I did my sit-ups, although my gut was already aching from holding it in the whole time he was around. This is going to be a FANTASTIC week !! ________________________________ TUESDAY: I drank a whole pot of coffee, but I finally made it out the door. Christo made me lie on my back and push a heavy iron bar into the air then he put weights on it! My legs were a little wobbly on the treadmill, but I made the full mile. His rewarding smile made it all worthwhile. I feel GREAT !! It's a whole new life for me. _______________________________ WEDNESDAY: The only way I can brush my teeth is by laying the toothbrush on the counter and moving my mouth back and forth over it. I believe I have a hernia in both pectorals. Driving was OK as long as I didn't try to steer or stop. I parked on top of a GEO in the club parking lot. Christo was impatient with me, insisting that my screams bothered other club members. His voice is a little too perky for that early in the morning and when he scolds, he gets this nasally whine that is VERY annoying. My chest hurt when I got on the treadmill, so Christo put me on the stair monster. Why the hell would anyone invent a machine to simulate an activity rendered obsolete by elevators? Christo told me it would help me get in shape and enjoy life. He said some other stuff too. ______________________________ THURSDAY: A__hole was waiting for me with his vampire-like teeth exposed as his thin, cruel lips were pulled back in a full snarl. I couldn't help being a half an hour late - it took me that long to tie my shoes. He took me to work out with dumbbells. When he was not looking, I ran and hid in the restroom. He sent some skinny little thing to find me. Then, as punishment, he put me on the rowing machine -- which I sank. _________________________________ FRIDAY: I hate that Christo more than any human being has ever hated any other human being in the history of the world. Stupid, skinny, anemic, anorexic little aerobic instructor. If there was a part of my body I could move without unbearable pain, I would beat him with it Christo wanted me to work on my triceps. I don't have any triceps! And if you don't want dents in the floor, don't hand me those barbells or anything that weighs more than a sandwich. The treadmill flung me off and I landed on a health and nutrition teacher. Why couldn't it have been someone softer, like the drama coach or the choir director? __________________________ SATURDAY: Satan left a message on my answering machine in his grating, shrilly voice wondering why I did not show up today. Just hearing his voice made me want to smash the machine with my planner; however, I lacked the strength to even use the TV remote and ended up catching eleven straight hours of the Weather Channel. _____________________________ SUNDAY: I'm having the Church van pick me up for services today so I can go and thank GOD that this week is over. I will also pray that next year my husband will choose a gift for me that is fun -- like a root canal or a hysterectomy. I still say if God had wanted me to bend over, he would have sprinkled the floor with diamonds !!!

    Am I the only one home from group? anyway you know how we roll...the 5 of us went up to Johns room to check on him after group. He's doing good, experiencing discomfort though. He looks good though Yea John :thumbdown: We didn't get a chance to see Lee but John said he saw her in the hallway and everything is as expected I guess. So we have 2 sleeved buddies!! Anyway, group was good I thought. Liz led it and even though I don't agree with everything I like her style and knowledge. So my new goal is to focus on 3 meals and work them until my fill in a couple weeks. I hope to loose 5 lbs by then.
