Wow everyone is so quiet.... I think Im back on track, it was a good wknd went walking each day, even hooked up with Candra to do the vallejo marina. When are you all coming back down? Foodwise was ok too, I ate at home so I wouldn't slip up and have a carb fest. I'll weigh on wednesday so we'll see. since there's nobody t talk to I'll be on my way. Have a nice week of good healthy choices.

Let me tell you I've been on like 2 vacations and 1 trip for work...very busy. And we just had a big family reunion. Needless to say I'm trying to get back on track eating right and exercising. All in all my weight is about the same so no real damage. Just ready to start loosing again. Haven't had a fill since April and I can eat a horse, cow and a pig. Any walking get-to-gathers planned? lemme know, I miss you guys.

Hola everyone! just getting back from vacation. I had a great time hanging out at the beach, eating and yes drinking. Best part was that we exercised everyday, swimming, bike rides, lots of walking, even went to the hotel gym. So all in all no weight gain. REady to buckle down now though....I'm a ways away from my next fill goal still. I was thinking maybe I should call and get on the calendar. Maybe that will kick me into gear. I still need to go back a read the last few pages but congrats Ash! Annalyn yes your getting close. Miss you guys....

still pokin along... B=2 boiled eggs salad L= tomato soup, 4 slices turkey deli meat, 2 slices swiss cheese D=caesar salad ex 2.5 mile walk & 30 min elliptical tomorrow is my weigh in day, Pam I'm tired of the up and down of everyday weight checks too. Yippie Ash, so happy for you. just a few more days. You too Chrissy, great your independence day I think the pouch test and others like it can be a great jumpstart. When I am all twisted which does happen I do a quick 2-3 day something and then follow up with getting back on plan. It works for me. Happy Friday! whoo hoo, I'm going to a movie premiere tomorrow nite and another 5 mile walk on saturday.

for crying out loud I lost my post...here goes again. I won;t bore you with the rambling B=tomato soup L=beef, cheeses & onion mixture D=chicken pot pie (oops) w/o the crust tho doing really good with my steps. I joined the walking group at work we did 2 miles today. Plus my elliptical. so it's all good. not weighting myself till fridays & monday I go up and down too much for everyday. Yea Annalynn, June will be here before you k now it. I'm not clear are you getting the sleeve or band? Riley hope things are ok with the eye lift. I give up on tucks and lifts I'll never have that kind of money. the girls are full of streath marks..... Hey has anyone heard form Donna? she hasn't been around much or I missed her. Tina, the thought of perfection is interesting. It's like me and the pouch test I don't even bother cuz I know I'm gonna screw up or if I do try something and mess up I give the whole thing up.

I didn't get a chance to check in last night my son came home from college so I got sidetracked..... Yea Mo it does sound like we are all having the same struggles.... who would-a-thunk???? anyway, I did ok with food yesterday and today b= 2 small meatballs L=sauteed spinach with a little ground chicken in it d=2 more small meatballs and a small side salad I too have lost inches even though I haven't measured myself of course the scale hasn't moved much. All my 12 pants are too big but i'm waiting until I loose enough to get another fill before i go shopping. Well I actually have bought like 6 swim suits, WHAT! only 2 a one pc the others are tankinis, my tummy is covered but still I don't think I've had a 2 pc since I was a teen. We're going on vacation next week and then I've got work trip in June in which I hope to be hanging out by the pool. Oh, any recommendations for beach reading? I want 1 smut novel and then 1 self help, emotional eating or something. Wow, have you seen the WW commercial w/ Jen Hudson she looks awesome.

Good Sunday Morning everyone....I'm back 'I think' so good to read all your posts, especially Pam, Tina, & Christine! I've missed you all, obviously I've been in a funk. I had moved 4 lbs over my last fill weight. getting stuck every so often, mostly when I try to have bread or eat too fast. I know Id do better if I followed at least a few of the rules. I went on my 5 mile walk yesterday, it was a perfect day. I've also been doing my 10k steps everyday this past week so I'm going try and keep that up. For that I lost the 4 lbs so now I'm back at my April fill weight. I know its a marathon not a race.... Next is to focus on getting my eating under control. Pam I'm glad the optifast is working for you. I wish I had money to try it. I know I need to focus on dense proteins so I can get full. I feel like I'm always hungry.... at the same time I'm thinking I'll go back to my atkins shakes and see how I do. I'm also going to look at some kind of appetite suppressant at least for a couple weeks. I'm going to try and log my food here for a week just so I can be a bit more accountable. That seemed to work so maybe we can all do it. Also, maybe we can plan another get together and walk. Ok, have a nice day, I'll be back later to post my food

Hey there everyone, and Happy Mothers day to all the mothers. It’s so nice to see you back Tina and Nicole and you too Pam and Riley, you’re missed. Tina I’m glad you got your fill and back at Kaiser. I agree they put it in and should follow up and take into consideration your needs. I think you’re right checking in here now and again helps to stay on track. I hadn’t been on in a while either. I missed getting the viewpoint of all who’ve been where I am already. There is definitely a difference at every phase of this journey. The physical and emotional aspects really take a toll and there’s nothing like talking to some one who’s been there. Did everyone have a good mothers day? Mine was good, only two of my kids were here so we went to the racetrack for $1 day ☺ it was great! I didn’t really make good choices…. since I took advantage of the $1 hotdogs, drinks and cracker jacks oops! I’m hoping to have a much better week. 1st thing on the list is cutting the carbs and getting in my 10k steps. I took today off work to just laze around the house. I want to go for a walk a little later, it’s a little damp now. Pam I agree I think I’m going back to my preop diet of chicken and egg salad. I have gotten stuck quite a few times, I think because I pick p a couple lbs. so I need to get a handle on that. Glad to hear about some of the newbies, Chrissy getting to goal. All you sleeve sisters and brother (John) work it out, I’m happy for you. Heather congrats on the house, you slipped that one in on us. Pat, glad you are doin g good with your fill. Mo, what’s going on? Oh I forgot to mention I’m doing a 5k walk over at coyote point next Saturday in san mateo, I want to hit as many walks as possible so if anyone hears of any let me know. Ok, enough of my babbling going to get another cup o joe…Happy Monday all.

good sunday morning everyone, just wanted to pop is and say hello. things are going ok for me. I'm pretty much stuck at this plateau ugh! not loosing but not gaining either so I guess that's a good thing. I've decided to not worry about it too much I'm much much more healthier than I was this time last year. I've gone from a size 20 to 10/12 so if it takes the rest of the summer to loose another 10 pounds so be it. Been trying to keep up with my walking, yesterday a 4 mile around the Bay Trail, it was beautiful. I'll probably do the bridge this morning. Congrats Ali, really excited for you. Chrissy, Ash glad you're loosing, enjoy it and take advantage of every pound. You'll be on deck next. I won't be able to make it to the meeting next week it's our group garage sale. I'll miss you all. Perhaps you Sac folks can come down this way for a Vallejo pier walk or the bridge sometime soon. Ok, well take care everyone, and huggs all around, Pat, Riley, Candra, Mo, Nicolie, Mr John, Donna, Pam and you too if I missed someone.

Good sunday morning everyone! Just checking in I did my smoothies for a week great detox for me anyway. I think it also got my restriction back. Last night we went to a retirement party for one of my coworkers and I got stuck on the turkey breast. wow was it uncomfortable. Seemed like as soon as I swallowed I couldn't breath and I started getting hot. I quickly got up I was going to go try and throw it up but decided I shouldn't. So I spent the next 15 min walking the halls. It finally went down. What a way to have my 1st experience at getting stuck. Riley I'm so happy for you! I'm sure once you are 100% you will loose the few pounds. Ash your family looks great. I can tell those boys are busy  Mo girl get back on track...I saw pics of you all at J's party the other nite. I was supposed to go but I didn't want to end my detox early. Tamra glad you are loosing again, and the pouch test is working for you. I was thinking of trying it this week too. Now that your in my neighborhood we have to walk...I did the bridge yesterday. Hopefully this week will clear so I can get out. Go Chrissy! you'll be there before you know it. Yea, Ali I lived on jello and popsicle for the first week. Then I made my own cream soups, none of the ones I bought were good. i can dig up the recipe if you like. Pat happy early B-day....go easy on the cake  Who else? Pam, John, Lee, Donna ??? and everybody hope all is well. Oh, Heather hang in there, I think it's time to email Doc Who. Again, its a marathon not a race  PS: guess who I saw at the grocery store Friday?.......Liz! Yep as soon as she saw me she was like hi how are you and she immediately looked in my basket...only thing in there was a 12 pack of beer, bacon and cheese. I wanted to say the beer is not mine but I figured I shouldn't talk shop since she was with her husband. I feel like I got busted even tho I haven't had a beer since 3 days before surgery. Oh well. ok that's enough of my yakin have a great day/week y'all

my green smoothies is my annual spring "cleanse" I drink them for about a week. Total detox from cooked, processed, crappy food and really cleans the insides  I do other things like meditate, clean my space etc etc. Has nothing to do with diet or the band. I'll probably loose a couple lbs but that's not the point. I do think this will be a good boost to my eating what I'm supposed to. Last spring is when I lost my pre op weight.

good morning everyone, It's amazing so many of us hit this wall at some point. Yea MO I check in every now and again :0 Congratulations on the weight loss. I love the new avatar. I'm game to get together and walk. I usually walk the bridge on the weekends but I'm up for another location like the vallejo pier or somewhere over your way. I try to start my walk by 9:30 so I can run my errands by 11 ish. Let me know if anyone here local wants to join... Pat lady everyone goes through what you are going through. I don't remember exactly but 50+ lbs lost is awesome. I know they say not to but I finally bought some sugar free fudge pops and popsicles, oh I even got some sugar free dark chocolate covered almonds. Other than that I'll find some full fat/sugar cookies and other junk. Ash congrats on making goal....yippie! Heather, I know what you are going through I have that same problem with my foot too. seems like it always comes back around spring sumer when I start wearing flip flops and having my feet out....what's that about? So I've decided to do my annual spring cleanse starting on Monday, one week of green smoothies. sort of a mini detox. I'm having some dental work done today, I'm sure i wont be able to eat, a good thing will be able to jump start. ok time for another cup o' joe  no work for me today, taking a furlough. have a nice day....and remember it's a marathon not a race:tt2:

wow John you rock...men seem to handle the weightloss so much better than girls ugh. So Tina I'm glad you've checked back in. Did you tell Baggs that you went somewhere else for your fill? I want to know what he said or are you planing to tell him. ok, last couple days I've had restriction. when I get to that point I feel light headed and almost short of breath, it's weird. OH, everyone looks so good in the pictures from the other day. Slim yea! Sorry I missed it. I've been doing good on my carb detox lately. I made somebody's chili the other day and been eating it for every meal! LOL

hey there everybody, woo woo little feisty are we not?? Hi Tina I know you said move on but I've got a nickels worth of comments. I miss all of the "vets" like Candra said they are the only ones who have been where I am. I don't mind sharing my journey with the newbies but its nice to have somebody to turn to if needed. I remember telling Liz how I felt like an outsider at the meetings because everyone just talked about how wonderful they were doing. You know what she said? "They are full of shit"!! I said the same thing to Robin when I met with her and she said the same thing too. That being said I see this forum as a place to share everything that is life, band, sleeve or RNY. So jobs, family, husbands all contribute to our struggles. Whether anyone reads or replies to another posts is not the point, it's feeling comfortable enough to share what you are going through that is help in it self. People have had issues with Kaisers way before some of you were born so this is nothing new. If I didn't get the words of wisdom from those before me I would not have known how to handle Kaiser in my situation. I commend those of you on the KAiser honeymoon hopefully you won't get frustrated and things continue to go well for you. Last thought on this subject...I enjoy and appreciate each one of you and I hope we can all continue to share, chat and support.

Wow John you got this. Glad your 1st day back was good. You beat me to wishing you a one year orinent-aversary Can you believe it's been a year already? I'm somewhat disappointed that I'm not where I wanted to be but heck I'm a whole lot further along then I would have been without out all this. Just got to keep at it. Pat I'm sorry I won't be able to make it on Saturday. I've really been struggling with my achilles heel. walking short distances really hurt and I'm afraid if I start out on the walk I'll pull it more. I've been on my elliptical in the mornings and that's fine. I tried going for a short walk at lunchtime today and I was in pain. I'm sorry I'm going to miss it, I really do enjoy my walks and would love to see you all. Have fun...it's going to be a beautiful day.
