Good luck mSan914. You're the same age as me. I'm 5 days post op now, my wounds are itching (healing), I'm tolerating yogurt and Fruche (do you have that in the US?, it's like slightly firmer set yogurt) and all fluids. I'm able to sleep fully on my side now (not on my back) and I am pretty comfortable. All the best to you. The days go fast! before you know it, it'll be 6 weeks post.

Hi everyone, I'm doing fine. Lost 3kg (about 6-7lb). On liquid straw diet still.

I'm in Australia. While in hospital I was only given "clear" fluids, i.e. apple juice, water, black tea and clear broth. My first "protein" drink came today three days later, which is skim milk. Maybe you should concentrate on thinner, clearer drinks for the first few days.???

Hoping to put in my ticker Heyyyy, I did it!!! I'm in Australia and we work in kilograms. Required weight loss of 23kg = 50lb 11.3oz.

Hi everyone, I was re-banded on 23rd April. It's now 25th. Surgery went well, but surgeon decided on the AP large size rather than AP small size due to scar tissue from the original lapband that came out. He said the surgery went very well. I have had very little pain, just once daily paracetamol. Stayed in hospital two nights, but could easily have gone home the following day - just liked being waited on in hospital! haha. My check up is on 12th May. Completely clear fluids in hospital, now I'm home I've had thin pumpkin soup (as long as it can fit through a straw I'm ok). No back pain, it's all good so far! I'll post some pics soon.

Thursday April 23, 2009. This will be a replacement band for me. I was initially banded in 2004, lost 36lb (25kg). Started gaining weight and feeling no restriction early 2009. Had barium swallow that revealed my pouch had expanded in size, which is a common complication, especially if you are one of those people who "push the limits". Seems like I am one of them! My surgeon is using a different band - a Lapband APS (Advanced Platform small). I'm first cab off the rank and have to be at the hospital at 7.30am for 8.30am op. Last time I was quite nervous and tearful going in, but hopefully I'll be better this time. Currently my weight is 87kg (212lb) (my lowest weight being 71kg, 156lb), my highest weight being 96kg (192lb). Without the band I know that my weight will just increase and balloon - if I CAN eat, I do. I'll check in here again in a couple of days with an update. :smile::w00t:

I'm was lapbanded in 2004. Re-do tomorrow 23rd April 09 with Lapband APS (Advanced Platform Small).
