  1. They may be saying no because they are teaching you to be disciplined for what is to come. Or they may be wanting to restrict the calories and saying no. It may not be "harmful" to eat at this point, they are just saying no for other reasons. For example, my doc says absolutely NO sugar foods. Why? Will it hurt me? No, it will just slow down your weight loss.

    Co-workers!!!!

I had lapband 9 weeks ago and I have not told anyone I work with. I am a nurse that works nightshift with several other females. We are close and have all yo-yo'd over the years. I did not want everyone watching every single bite I put in my mouth and monitoring my progress. If I screw up and cheat, I don't need people to talk behind my back about "how much she spent on that surgery and then she is cheating". Believe me, I have worked with them long enough to know, if they talk about others, they will talk about me! Lost 24 lbs. in 9 weeks 10 cc band, first fill 4 cc, second fill 5.2 cc

    Mushy food stage shopping list

Don't forget about baby food! Don't laugh! I am only on day 5 post-band and still on liquids but I went shopping last night for my next phase of food. My fiancee and I found all kinds of baby food that I think I could eat. Heck, they are only about 35 cents each and very easy to travel with. Some I would NEVER eat but some sounded pretty good. Also, I bought one of the cheap Banquet frozen dinners, turkey and mashed potatoes (dont eat the peas and stuffing unless you are allowed). I can't wait till I can eat mushies! Robin banded 4/22/10 Start wt - 290 lost 5.4 already!!!
