BAD fill - Is it possible?? -PLS HELP!

Hi, I had a strange situation happen to me. My doctor definitely doesn't extract any saline and then inject but when he put the saline in this time ( my second fill) it started bleeding a lot. My doctor let me leave and as I was walking out of he office I noticed my shirt was soaked with blood. That doesn't seem right if he actually injected me in the right place. Then the next day I had a huge bruise surrounding the port area . I don't think that is normal right? Not to mention I have 7 ccs in an 11cc band and still feel no restriction..... I'm pretty sure he accidentally injected the saline in to my skin..... Not sure if anyone can help. Thankfully, I'm going back on the 20th.

    8.2 fill no restriction

Hello, I have 7cc's in a 11 cc band and don't feel any restriction at all except in the mornings. I go for my third fill on aug 20th. I've been feeling very unmotivated due to the lack of restriction.... Anyone have any wise words? I just want help with portion control! Even if I eat very healthy or not so healthy foods I am hungry again in a couple of hours. I just don't want to fall back into bad habits.
  3. Okay, So I got banded on May 20th 2009 and before my first fill ( one month later) lost 16 lbs. I just got my first fill on June 24th with 5cc's I have a realize band that has a 11cc capacity. Since my fill I've lost probably another 3 lbs which isn't much to me at all especially because I was losing so quickly the first couple of weeks. My biggest concern is that I feel barely to NO restriction at all. I personally stay away from breads, sweets (rarely eat them) and eat no junk food. The thing is that I CAN eat them. I've nibbled and they go down with no problems. My stomach gets full a lot sooner than before the surgery but I feel like I may have something wrong with me. I feel as if restriction is the main key to major weightloss with the band. I've also started going to the gym and working out doing cardio for 30 minutes 3 to 4 times a week (never did that before).I called my doctor's office and the nurse told me that what I'm experiencing is completely normal and that I have to wait another month for the second fill.... PLEASE HELP GUYS! Has anyone had this experience... I feel completely lost and I would hate to start having a negative attitude about this whole thing because I love my band!
  4. hello,

I'm sure you get this all the time but ummmm hello you look amazing!!! I got banded 5 weeks ago and I want to do everything right... How did you have such great results? What diet and exercise plan did you follow? I just got my first fill and I don't have much restriction and I'm getting discouraged ... I just want to get results fast!!! Thanks girl hope all is welll!

  5. Hi,

Congrats on your success!! If you don't mind sorry if many people have asked you this.... What do you eat daily? Like meal plan? and also how much exercise do you incorporate into daily life? I want to hit the ground running!!! Thank you sooo much!!

  6. Hello,

Okay so now I feel restriction but not so much that I can only eat a few bites. I felt not hungry at all and not wanting to eat anything during the first week. Now I feel full wayyyyyy sooner than before the band but its not where I can only eat a little bit. Hopefully, when I get my fill I will be at a more desirable restriction. Hope that helps! Don't worry you won't want to eat through the band. The only thing that sucks is that now that I'm on mushy foods I've stopped losing weight... and I'm eating not even a 1/4 of what I used to eat so I'm not sure why that is..... weird.

  7. Hello!

I really love your pics... Looks like you are having great progress.... I got banded on May20th and have lost 11lbs since the surgery but I'm very concerned because I've stopped losing weight since I've been doing puree. If you don't mind what was your diet, exercise plan after surgery?!!! I really want to do the same thing as people who have had good success I'm willing to do anything at this point because I want to lose as much weight as possible!! Thanks so much for your help! ttyl

    No weight loss

I got banded on May 20th and lost 11lbs within the first week. Once I got cleared to go to puree I have not lost anything and instead have been battling the same 3 lbs ( keep losing and gaining it). I don't eat high carb foods and try to have very low sugar... Is this normal??!! I seriously hit the ground running and was so happy with my weightloss. Now not losing anything has me extremely discouraged!! I have a fill on June 25th.. I do have more of an appetite than the first week but my surgeon told me that is normal. Anyone have any similar experiences??!! I just want to keep believing in myself and my new life partner... THE BAND.. hhahah
  9. Hello again,

Actually the first week after surgery I was on liquids and didn't feel hungry at all to eat much. I just wanted to get in my protein shakes . As time passes and a week goes by I started to get hunger pains again and then I went onto puree. I'm not sure what you doctors diet is... but I would follow what information they give you. I didn't get headaches... I was tired and weak though. I'm just a little irritated because ever since I started puree I haven't lost anymore weight so that was my main concern. The medication they gave me was liquid loritab which is Hydrocodone.... Feel free to ask anymore questions!

  10. It seems like ever since I started puree I am having a battle with the scale. When I was on liquid I would lose a pound a day. Now my weight seems stagnate I don't eat much at all. I'm not sure what is going on... Has anyone else experienced this?
  11. Hello,

I actually saw you post something on another person's page and I was wondering..... I just got banded on 5/20 and I have lost 10 lbs post-op and 6 pre-op so thats 16lbs total. Buuuuuut now I am on puree and for whatever reason have not lost anymore weight!!! I'm super upset about it because I liked stepping on the scale every morning seeing another lbs gone.... any suggestions... I try to get my protein in but its rather hard with the amount of space I have. I have also noticed today that I can eat more than usual... I can't wait to get a fill!!! Thanks for your help! ttyl

  12. Hello!

Thanks for stopping by and asking how I am doing! SOO sweet of you. I am doing better now... I wasn't feeling so great right after surgery. I would have to say 11th day is my best day. My weight loss has been great so far.. Since the surgery 10 lbs and before the surgery 6lbs.. So a total of 16 lbs.. But I'm on puree now and am getting frustrated because I can't seem to lose anymore weight! I was losing weight everyday on the liquid diet post-op but now I find myself not and its annoying! Anywhooo how are you doing? I really appreciated your message.. ttyl!

  13. Good Luck girl! Thank you for your comment.. very sweet.

  14. Hello,

I had my surgery on May20th and I am starting to feel better mentally and physically now. I'm not going to sugarcoat anything it was wayy harder than I expected! It's painful after the surgery ( mainly the incisions sites). I am sooo happy that I did it though. I am very proud that I made the decision and now I am looking forward to my first fill. I lost 6 lbs pre-op and then since my surgery I've lost another 10 lbs... I am now on the puree diet and I haven't really lost any weight since. My doctor informed me that once my band/stomach recover from the surgery I will have little to no restriction on eating. I'm trying to start exercising by walking now because I don't want to push it. Feel free to ask ANY questions! I don't mind at all..... I'm glad I came to this forum because it really helps to have people to talk to. Talk to you later!! Good Luckkk I am super excited for you!!

  17. I got banded on Wednesday May20th, I have not had a BM except for sorry for the TMI ( Diarrhea probably 3 times). I am really glad I read this thread because I was thinking I wasn't normal because I have been in pain since I came home from the hospital. I have been pretty much miserable due to not being able to eat ( I have two room mates that have been eating lasagna, pasta, spaghetti, pizza) all the things I love!!! and I feel miserable because I haven't been feeling well at all. THE BEST ADVICE IS... USE THE PAIN MEDICATION THE DOCTOR GAVE YOU. Once I realized that taking the liquid pain medication could help me I've been feeling better... sooo until you see your doctor take pain meds and hang in there! I just wish I wasn't so hungry!!
  18. I was banded on May 20th and have lost 6lbs to date 5/26/2009. It seems like I have lost a pound a day. Is that normal? I'm on the strictly liquid diet now and am pretty much starving.... I'm really excited to start the 2nd phase diet. How is everyone else dealing with the liquid diet and HUNGER?! Is one pound a day weight loss normal? Also, will that stop once I start on puree and soft foods? Thank you!
