    Multivitamin Enough?

That's all I take is a chewable Centrum. I am however going to get back on a Vitamin I used to take years ago. It's from GNC, it's a hair, Nails and Skin formula. When I took it before I had fingernails like rocks. They break a lot now so I'm going back on this. http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2187091&cp&change_search=products&keywords=hair+nail&y=0&searchId=18460601242&x=0&parentPage=search

Are you drinking through a straw or drinking regularly with the cup to your lips and gulping? I drank through a straw for the first four weeks, maybe more. That might help you keep it down.

    Typical Meal?

I eat pretty much anything I want but I eat the Protein part of my meal first. Scrambled eggs, baked Beans, fish. The key is small bites and eating slowly. I do not eat boiled meats. I can't eat roast beef or steak but I eat pot roast. It's pretty juicy if you cook it right and it shreds. Hamburger patties without the bun. If you put some salsa on top it's quite nice. Tuna salad, chicken salad. I will cook up some sausage and break it down, like ground beef, and then put it in with some baked beans cooking it until it's nice and soft. Spicy sauage makes it nice. I have salads with croutons. I do Protein shakes if I think I need it but I don't have them every day. I stay away from breads, sticky rice, but I do eat some noodles. I have to otherwise I'd wig out. But I have some after my protein is gone. I'm not perfect, I ate some pop tarts last week and was sick out about it, but I just hopped back on track and try, try, try. Everyday I try to make good decisions. I'm still losing and that's the important thing.

    Starving on post -op liquids

I agree with the popsicles. They saved me bigtime. I ate them so slow that they'd melt off the stick so I also ate the italian ices. The cherry ones are good, but they have different flavors. Also, I'd strain my favorites soup of it's solids and enjoy the liquid. I did that with chicken noodle soup but you can do it with anything. I also drank lots of Crystal Light. Good luck! :clap2:

YOU think YOU know EVERYTHING..DONT YOU?

You can have the thread....thanks to the workout smilie I wanna have an ice cream while I use my thigh master. :hungry: I wonder if that's like having a burger and Diet coke. The powers of the diet soda cancel out the calories and fat of the burger, therefore injesting both has no affect on my person. Ice cream and exercise...I think that darn little smilie is onto something. :biggrin1: It's so crazy, it just might work!!! :clap2:

    Labor Day Weekend

Sure, I'll take some pics. With remnants of Ernesto floating through, we'll be inside and have some energy to burn. Pics of what I don't know but I'll try to keep it interesting or at least entertaining. :biggrin1:

    DeLarla vs. PhotoNut

Lisa is banned. But yet she's on the board posting about being banned. I'm confused as to what the problem is? Why ban if you let them back as someone else? And why complain about being banned if you are already back on the board? Just enjoy being back.

    Labor Day Weekend

Getting DD ready to start school on Tuesday. We've bought everything we just need to get organized. Plus I'm going to start implementing bedtime tonight and the rest of the weekend to try to help get her back on track.

    Signing Off

Here's some unsolicited advice. You look the bigger person when you ignore it. PM the folks you care about and tell them the truth. Everyone else? Screw em. Who cares what people think. If you ignore it, then it will go away, and people who have a negative opinion, whatevah. If you don't respond then there is nothing for anyone to have an opinion on regarding your behavior. I'm not saying that I think anything about what's going on, it's none of my business. I'm telling you this as someone who was harassed on another board and I ignored it. After a while the harassing poster only makes themselves look bad when they are posting and nobody is responding. It gets old and they look pathetic. Trust me. Ignore it. This is the voice of experience talking. I'm giving you pearls here!! :biggrin1:

THE GOOD, THE BAD and THE UGLY

The Good: Having baggy underwear. :clap2: The Bad: I'm going to have to go with not fitting in a booth too. I hate having to ask for a table before being seated just to avoid the embarassment later. The Ugly: Having been teased all through school for my weight & now looking back seeing I wasn't that big. :cry

When did you tell your children?

My daughter is 11YO and she has known since the beginning too. It's been very exciting for her. The prospect of me being thin enough to do things with her that I hadn't been able to do in the past really makes her happy...and me too!
  21. I agree with everything you put. My experiences are pretty much parallel to yours. Good job Linda! Way to word it! :clap2: I will say I'm more of the emotional eater type, but have no had any issues yet. I was a big sweets eater, pastries especially. At least during my emotional breakdowns which required my to attempt death by donut. I am guessing that with having the liquid, mushie phases and then working so hard to behave once I moved to regular food, that my tastes have already changed. I tried to eat a small bit of evil and it was too sweet. I never said that before, but it was. Almost made me sick to swallow it because it was so disgustingly sweet. I used to eat frosting out of the tub in desperate times, so sweet was never a factor before. Good luck to you! I'm excited for you! :clap2: Oh, and I love your name, Mari....I would anyway, but it just so happens that my name is Mari. I don't get to meet many Mari's so this is a nice treat. Your screen name caught my attention right away! :biggrin1: Welcome and much success to you! :clap2:

    Open vs Closet Bander Questions

I'm a closet bander. My parents know, a few of my close friends, and then my manager and the owner of where I work. If I had it to do over I would have left my manager and the owner out of the loop. I didn't even tell my brother and that's only because I don't want his wife and her family knowing.
