Welcome to the site alex! think wishfull covered most things there! also get some bottled water at the hotel for when you get back from hospital! you will be more thirsty than anything. also if you have time get some chewable multi vitamins as well. most people here take them every day as your diet will be low to start with and you won't get everything you need!

Don't think its willpower as i never had any!!!! I just told myself from day one that i would only eat at meal times and stop eating when i'm full! Also that i wouldn't deprive myself of anything, that way i would not get cravings so think my stomach has just shrunk!

Hi Homecare, I'm not doing to bad its 5 weeks post op and think i was about 17 1/2 stone when i went in. I'm now 15stone 8 pounds so doing really well! I'm still not eating much! For today for example i have had 2 ryvita with 1 poached egg and a couple of cooked mushrooms and for tea i had cottage pie with carrots which didn't even fill a side plate! Also i have been trampolining all day! I'm tired but have first fill on thursday in london!

Can't really give you any advice to the blood clot but Gary will when he is on! Hope you feel better soon!!! Keep us updated on your weight loss journey! Yay just booked the 6 month package with WLS in Glasgow and my first appointment is 14 July! That will be my 2nd fill! God i hope i get restriction quickly as don't think i could manage a 9 hour round trip every fill!!!!

Afternoon all!!! What a lovely day again today! Had a thunder storm last night so its not as humid which is good! Just wondered if anyone has a fill in london on thursday as i'm in at 3pm ish!!!! Going to combine it with a day out with my mum so we are going to madame tussuads as well! Also was wondering what was the latest time i can have food and drink before a fill as this is my first one!

Really sorry to hear that Kathy, you must be really dissappointed. Hope you can stay on the forum and keep us updated on your weight loss when you find the right diet for you! Its really weird at the moment cause i haven't had a fill yet and am eating about that amount of food! I only get hungry towards meal times as well!!!! Hopefully it won't take too many fills to reach restriction!

Just a quick question to those who have restriction! What does it feel like! At the moment i'm managing 2 weetabix for breakie! 1/2 an omlette for lunch and cereal bowl of pasta or curry and rice etc for tea! After each meal i am stuffed!!!! Is this normal and if it is what will i be eating after restriction!!!

Hi Sara! I wouldn't worry to much about not drinking on the hen night! I didn't really do a pre op diet and had a lot of last suppers! I did make sure i took milk thistle tablets every day though as this will help with your liver!!! Also 3 of us got pissed in the hotel the night before we got banded!!!! Is going to be your last time before your op to get pissed on fizzy and all the nice drinks so i would enjoy it if i was you!!!!

Hi all! My god isn't this weather gorgeous! Spent all weekend at the beach!!! Got sunburn on mu back and shoulders!! OWWWWW! Well I'm finding this band weird!!! I'm not sure what restriction is but today i managed 3 mouthfuls of pasta salad and 1/4 muller rice and 1/3 fish pie ready meal!!!! I find i'm full really quickly! Is that restriction???? Or is it just normal? I also want to try fizzy but really scared??? I do miss it especially for my vodka!
