Hi all, just checking in! Has anyone got a fill in london a week saturday! Heard from Flirty the other day and she is doing really well and the photo's are great! She said on a scale of 1-10 the pain is about a 2 so i'm glad she isn't in too much pain!!!! Well off for a bath now as i'm up at 5.30am Jo x

Well i just managed 2 crispbreads with primula on and it went down fine but i am totally stuffed now!!!! Thats a good sign i think!!! YAY

That does seem weird! Is your appointment with Wendy on the 11th? Mine is at 10:45 with her in Glasgow so if its around the same time maybe we could go for a Coffee? Wonder if Bobo and Gary would join as well! I have heard that some people always struggle with egg so maybe your one of them! i've been quite lucky and not struggled with anything really only if i don't chew it then it really hurts! at least you can eat fish pie and cottage pie! Have you tried really soft veg or soft rice with lots of sauce? As long as your taking your vitamins that should be ok maybe your just healing a little slower than most! Everyone is different. It has only been 21 days. Try speaking to Wendy about it at your next fill! Chin up babe Jo xx

Hi HomeCare, Have you tried things like scrambled egg of fish pie? Maybe your not chewing your food enough as i found if i don't chew completely to mush it really hurts!!! For those who have just been banded this month, i really would recommend Dr Chris's instructions about the time to stay on liquids and mushies! It is really dangerous to go straight to solid food straight away and can even cause major internal damage as you will not have healed fully inside!! I know its horrible but is necessary for your wellbeing!!! Hi Gary Second fill is great all i had today is a glass of smoothie 2 yoghurts and a tin of soup and i have been satisfied with that! Does gurgle a bit if i drink to quickly but other than that all is fine! how's you? JO x

I had my first appointment with them yesterday and it was brill! she discusses everything with you from fitness to excercise!!!! BOBO, i've booked another appointment with them on 11th august for 10:45! Are you going to have anotherone or see how you feel? Hi Toppings, My friend is getting banded on tuesday the 11th august! Are you sure that isn't supposed to be the date your getting banded as he only does tuesdays and fridays as far as i'm aware!!! Might be worth checking with him!!! You don't want to be a day late!!!

Hi all I got back from my fill in Glasgow today about an hour ago, god i'm tired 9 hour round trip!!!! Lost half a stone since last fill which is ok!!! Wendy is really nice and she put in 1.6ml in so i am now at 4.6ml after 2 fills!!! water is going down fine just a little slower! Hi all, Well i am 4 pounds down since first fill 3 weeks ago! not alot i know but have another one next week in glasgow! As i live 4 hours north of glasgow i can only go there once a month with Wls as they are only there once a month:mad2: SOOOOOO, i booked a flight to london for end of the month to get another one (my 3rd) and then my 4th fill a couple of weeks after that in glasgow again!!!! Hopefully that should give me the kick start i need and then i will be happy just going once a month!!!! It is a pain though! Hope everyone is well!!!

Wish it was possible but i live at the top of scotland so glasgow is my mearest one and even that is 4 hours away!!! Short of me flying somewhere for the day for a fill there is not much i can do:crying:

Hi anitahug! If you google Wls it should come up with their website! All their venues are on there! I used to get reflux really bad until my operation and ever since that day it has gone!!!!:bored: Dr Chris said it probably would due to the positioning of the band! I would inform him of the tablets you are taking though just incase he needs you to stop them before hand!!!

Hi all, God this forum moves faster and faster every day!!!! Well today i feel brilliant i'm in such a happy state of mind! I got weighed today and am over the 1 and 1/2 stone mark in 6 weeks!!! Also i have been to the gym twice today, played badminton and did a circuit!!! Got Tennis tomorrow and might even get up at 6 and go to the gym before work!!!! Also seem to have my eating regime perfect! I have i portion of porridge and a cup of coffee for breakfast, 3 ryvita with low fat cheese spread and 1 tomato chopped up for lunch, and a piece of fish or something with a small salad for tea! I don't snack between meals anymore and i drink lots of squash so i'm really happy!!! Also for people that are going to join WLS, they have a promotion on at the moment!!!!!!! The 6 month package is going to be £270 From the 1st July Which will include me cause my first appointment with them is on the 14th July!!!!!!!!:smile2: Hope everyone is well!!!! Also heard from flirty and she can have her surgery on the 18th!!! They will do it all execpt the boobs as she has to wait 6 months! Its a 9 hour surgery! Hi Alex, Sorry to hear you are in pain! I didn't get any so i suppose everyone is different!!! It will ease within a few days i'm sure as every day you feel better!!! I lived on yoghurt and soup when i was in liquids!!! also homemade juices are good! I bought a juice book and a juicer!!!! Its only 10 days liquids to try to struggle through! I know its the worst part of this whole experience but it will be worth it when you see the scales move! I lost my first stone when i was in my liquid stage!!!!

Hi Rosetah2006 Welcome to the forum. Here is everything i can think of to take with you; *loose clothing *slip-on shoes *hand towl for hospital *wash bag *chewable multivitamins *Waterproof dressings for 5 wounds (4= 2cm long and 5th is 6cm long) * Travel lightly as too much luggage will be a pain to carry around * Pain relief ie Nurofen melts (not tablet form. you will get some from hospital but they are yuk!) * Sponge ( I found this helpful for a strip wash in hospital) *don't worry about nightclothes in hospital as you will be in your gown they give you * Cup a soups for hotel after op * Bottled water but you can by this in the hotel * If you drink tea or coffee there is some in the hotel but not much so take your own(they do have a kettle) If i think of anything else i will let you know!!!!

Why is this, its just that it makes me feel sick the thought of having anymore soup!!!! So just seem to be missing meals as savory liquids have put me right off!!!!! Also if i was filled at 4 on thursday can i have fish pie or something soft saturday night!!! Haven't got any restriction!! Thanx Jo

Hey guys just got bank from London for my first fill and Dr Chris said he was really pleased with me, i have lost 21pounds since surgery day!!!!! He gave me the choice of 2, 2 1/2 or 3 ml in my band, i went for three ml as thought i would get my moneys worth!!!! Also went to harrods and bought a bag and also to maddam tussauds so its been a lovely day!!!! About the arnica tablets, think this is a new thing people have started taking for surgery on here as i was never advised by anyone to take them so didn't and i didn't get any bruising! Not sure you do get any bruising actually but don't quote me on that!!!!!:wink:
