What do you eat for breakfast everyday?
carlagovier replied to spoiltmom's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Oatmeal doesn't stick with me either. I use eggbeaters and make a mini meal. I put in hashbrowns and canadian bacon or lean ham, and veggies, and cheese. I bake it in a 8x8 pan and cut it into squares. Sometimes I use sour cream and salsa on it. -
Meal guidance sought from those non-newbies
carlagovier replied to MollyRN's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Ok, I can't give you portion sizes, but I can give you a list of high protien foods. Beans (not green) refried black pinto etc Fish chicken Turkey Canned Tuna cheese You can aloso make one dish meals that contain bean, meat and cheese, this will give you a huge amount of protien with few calories and fat:rolleyes: -

I understand, I have been baned 13 months and have not found my sweet spot yet. Hang in there, as it was stated before, this is a process, and not the same process for everyone. I still think the band was the best thing for me. -

Feels like there is a rock in my chest
carlagovier posted a topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I have this feeling like there is a rock or lump in my chest, not all of the time, sometimes it feels like it is trying to come up my throat. I have tried to track "when" it happens, but there does not seem to be any "reason". Like right now, I have not eaten yet, but the feeling is there. After I eat, it might go away. Can anyone tell me anything????? -

I am pre-op my surgery is June 16th. -
I just got my surgery date, June 16th. I also have my other pre-op tests scheduled, I am so excited. I do have a question though. I don't see my doctor for my pre-op until 6 days before my surgery, I though I had to be on a liquid diet for two weeks, any thoughts?:mad2:
