    My turn! WHY, won't somebody please tell me WHY can't I wait until I'm actually HUNGRY to eat????? I find myself munching on stuff ALL DAMN DAY! And then I get pissed off at myself for doing that. It's no wonder I feel like I'm not losing.... It's almost as if I'm afraid of being hungry. Where does that come from???? I think this must be what people refer to as head hunger, maybe, but I really think it's some kind of primal fear that we're barely aware of, of actual true hunger. It's totally normal and natural to feel hunger, so why can't we (or at least I) allow myself to feel it?

    Well, if you're banded in early September, the heat shouldn't be as opressive when you get back to work, and you'll have the whole fall/winter and spring to get used to your new lifestyle, and you'll be able to work into it. Good luck!

    You should be ok as long as you're drinking plenty whenever you CAN, including in the morning before you go to work, and in the evening, and not just when you're out in the heat. If after a few days of working in the heat, that you find yourself becoming dehydrated, call your surgeon, and ask if it's ok to shorten your before and after times, or see if they have any recommendations for you. When are you being banded????

    Yeah, I was going to e-mail him from here, but it wouldn't let me. PM is the only way I know of to get in touch with him. I just checked his profile, and it shows that his last activity was on 6/27, so he hasn't even logged on lately. I do hope everything's ok!!

    UMMM, yeah. Drink all day long.... My surgeon wants me to drink at least 8 ozs of non-caloric liquid immediately prior to eating, and then he only wants me to wait at least 30 minutes after I'm done eating to resume drinking. I don't understand the 90 minute wait afterward to drink anything. I do understand waiting, but I think that's a bit excessive. (DISCLAIMER: Just my thoughts, please follow your surgeon's instructions....) Carry with you a Water jug, and drink from it all day long, though, and as long as you're doing that, even if you do wait 90 minutes after a meal to drink, you should still be good to go.

    The top 3 reasons for sliming/pb'ing/getting stuck are: 1. Too big of bites 2. Eating too fast or too much 3. Not chewing well enough It can also be caused by having too much of a fill, and there are other reasons, but they are much less common than the big 3 listed above.

    I believe it was in some of the paperwork that my surgeon sent home with me....or maybe it was something they told me? Not sure, but I did hear it somewhere besides LBT....I'll do some checking to see if I can find where I heard it. HEY! Here's my good thing for today.....     I bought a gigantic tub of Isopure Zero Carb chocolate. Threw all but two scoops of it in the trash. It was the nastiest stuff I've ever tasted, and it was foamy/gritty all at the same time. GAG. My problem is, I truly HATE fruity drinks. I've always hated Kool-Aid, and every variation thereof. Can't stomach Crystal Light except for on very rare occasions. I would like to try the unjury unflavored powder, but I need to get all this stupid New Whey used up first. I spent WAY too much money on that and got way too much of it to throw it away. I

    Feb Bandsters July Challenge

    I've been doing the New whey Protein bullets...They're 3 ozs, with 42 grams of protein. They're fruit flavored, and they're similar to melted Jello. YUCK. Your body can only process about 25 grams of protein at a time, anyway, so I drink half of it in the morning, and half in the evening. When they're gone, I think I'll try unjury. I am so leery of Protein shakes, though, because all the ones I've tried give me the runs, and then I'll need to go out and buy some of those "Oops I crapped my pants"..... Babygrl, what are the Matrix ones sweetened with? OH, OH! I got my 60 minutes in yesterday! EXERCISE: 1 of 20 workouts (60 min)

    When I've slimed, I'm sort of throwing up, but all it is, is this egg-white consistency clear stuff that comes up... I have to spit into a cup to avoid it. I've only had it happen once. It didn't all come up at once, and I had these thick ropes of stuff hanging from my mouth. SO gross. I am working my butt off to insure it doesn't happen again.

    Here's my first daily affirmation: I looked in the mirror this morning (not a full length) and actually recognized the girl looking back at me. I thought to myself, Hey, there I am! :eek: It's been awhile since I've seen her.

    Pain - maybe TMI

    Depending on what it is that you ate, some meat tenderizer might help if it was protein....I keep chewable papaya enzyme on hand just in case, and that helps sometimes, too. As far as getting things moving again, I don't know, some people find that walking helps. I find that I'm better off if I spit into a cup until the pain subsides, or I'll end up spitting up slime. I hope this helps. Hang in there!

    Feb Bandsters July Challenge

    I was in my car, 30 miles from home in the town I work in instead of the town I live in. I sharted, and much to my happy dismay, I was actually fat enough that it didn't get past my butt cheeks, so my underwear were spared. I've been in situations SEVERAL times (not since banding, thank God) where I'm walking along, and all of a sudden it'll hit me, and I have to STOP right where I am, and clench until it passes, or OOPS! Yeah, I could identify with the Oops I crapped my pants skit....

    I agree. One of the reasons I'm so willing to try it, is that it's a BLOCK from my office. Very convenient. I'm not sure I'd drive 30 miles to try it.....

    4 minute workout

    OK, I've gone and done this for 3 days now, and let me tell you, I come out of there every bit as sweaty, and wasted as I would coming out of Curves. Maybe more so. Maybe there's something to this. I signed up for one month (and got one free) and they took a body fat measurement, total measurements, weight, etc, and at the end of the 2 months, I'll have them do it all again, and based on my stats then, I'll decide for myself if it was worth it, and if there is anything to this. I'll try to keep posting on here how I think it's going...
