Oh, yeah...I almost forgot: 11 of 20 workouts (60+ min)

Welcome, Jeannie! I'm terrible about POSTING, but I do pretty well getting in my exercise... Sorry you missed the concert, Babygrl!
-
Well....unfortunately, my eating is out of control right now, so I am at a standstill right now in my weight loss....HOWEVER, since I've added that to my regular exercise regime, the other stuff I'm doing seems easier. Bike riding, walking, exercise dvd's....it's all getting easier.... I also gave them a referral, and earned a free month, so I get to try it out longer for FREE!!!!!! SO, basically, I paid the $42 sign up fee, and have my first two months free. I'll take it!

I'm still doing the 4 Minute Workout....the biggest thing I'm noticing is that already, I have a lot more stamina, and when I do my stretching exercises, I have better flexibility. I can't even begin to describe how a workout on the ROM machine feels....
-
Because we're still less than 6 months into trying to overcome a lifetime of bad eating habits....

Babygrl, how was REO Speedwagon??? Did you get to go?
-
Lee, it appears to me that you should be frequenting a singles website for all these dating posts....Not that they aren't interesting, but SHEESH! I think you have 5 or 6 active threads that are all about dating....

Sorry I haven't been posting, I've been super busy.....but I have been working out! 10 of 20 workouts (60+ min)

4 days post-op...really nervous/worried

If you have any cream of ____ soups that have chunks in them, you can zizz them up with a stick blender, ($10 or $12 at Wal-mart) and go for it! (lots of people have gotten those Magic Bullets, but at $60, I prefer the stick blenders, they do very nicely, thank you!) Just do as your doc told you, and you'll be just fine! -
What's The Supernatural??

Well, I would prefer to take it off before I get all sweaty, but with the temps being very near 100, it's hard to even go outside without getting sweaty...and I try to get in a little exercise, even if it's just walking, whenever I can during the day at work. It's just not feasable to remove it and re-apply 4 times a day... Just wish I knew what caused it, and if there's some kind of lotion or something I can use under it to prevent it. I have NOT tried the skin Rev-er Upper lotion, mostly because it's $21 for 2.3 ozs...not sure if it would be worth it What do you all think?

Ok, so I have a question: I use it and I DO love it. It's so flawless! HOWEVER, when I workout, or get sweaty from being outside, if I have it on, it irritates my face, feels like it's kind of burning....but it never causes redness or anything, and the irritation goes away as soon as I remove it. It also goes away when I stop perspiring, if I'm not somewhere I can take it off. Does anyone else experience this, or am I an oddball?

I. Hate. Mondays. Aunt Flo is still here wreaking havoc, and it was exceedingly difficult for me to drag my a$$ out of bed this morning to face the start of another week. I made some horrible food choices yesterday, and the scale showed it to me this morning.

What is this weird spot near my port scar?
travelgirl replied to TerriDoodle's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Terry, let us know what you find out, that's kinda scary! -
Deanna, it sounds to me like you have a rib dislocated. I had one way up high dislocated, and it sounds just like the pain you're describing. I'd go see a chiropractor asap!

My DH and I coon hunt. Let me tell you, the dogs can cover a LOT of ground, and it's no easy task at 285 to walk through a plowed field, or through the underbrush in a draw, when you're covering 5 or 6 miles in an evening... I'm looking forward to being able to keep up without being winded next season!

I think they must have to add something to it to keep it from freezing like a brick. The sugar is what keeps the regular ones slushy.

refried Beans topped with a bit of melted cheese....mmmmm cottage cheese! This has become a staple in my house. I have some every day. Sometimes I add some kind of seasoned salt and other times, a packet of stevia sweetener, depending on what I'm hungry for....

Two days out and feeling blue
travelgirl replied to blahblahblah's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
The pain you're experiencing is gas. The Gas-X is not going to help because it's not in your digestive tract. It's the gas that they used to inflate your abdomen so they could place your band. It has to be absorbed by your body, and the very best way to help this along is to walk. Walk until you can't walk anymore. Pace around the house if that's all you can do...but get moving! It will also help you heal faster and you'll be feeling back to normal sooner the more you walk. Hang in there! -
Congratulations, Big Wave Dave, and WELCOME to BANDLAND!

HOW TRUE! I love it.

How to shower?
travelgirl replied to Clairabellleee's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just do the best you can, and BE CAREFUL! It will be better tomorrow, and even better the day after that.... Hang in there, and you'll be back to normal in no time!
