My sister-in-law has always given her kids money for their birthdays, and such. They also get gifts, but when they go to spend their money, they really try to make it stretch, and I believe that this has taught them the value of a dollar, and they rarely if ever ask for anything they know is expensive. In fact, the youngest (10yrs old) is reluctant to even let us buy him things that aren't for a birthday, Christmas, etc... He said it makes him feel "funny".

I never realized how lazy I was, looking at my numbers over the past 2 days, and realizing how LITTLE I'm eating compared to pre-banding, and how much MORE I'm moving, it's no damn wonder I was pushing 300 lbs. And there's no doubt in my mind that if I hadn't been banded, I would be that heavy now. I love BOTH my bands! WOO!!!

Maybe she should go pee... And stop at KFC and eat the buffet on the way to the doctor! I was reading that KFC post and getting really angry before I remembered what thread I was reading.:heh:

It sure is eye-opening. I keep looking at the time I have to spend sitting at my desk working on the bodybugg chart, and think what a waste! But there isn't really anything I can do at my desk, since I am on my keyboard all day, I can't really incorporate any activity into my workday except at breaktimes. Here's an example of what my chart looks like: ____|||_____|||_____|||____||||______ Anybody else's look like mine??? LOL!

Yep, ice cube here, too! And I used to NEVER EVER be cold. My hubby misses it, he used to be able to snuggle up to me for warmth at night, and now it's the other way around! I could sleep in a 60 degree room with no blanket, just a sheet, and the ceiling fan going on high. Now, I have to pile on the blankets. During the day if I get cold, I'll have to go for a very brisk walk for at least 10 minutes to get warmed up. I still can't quite wear sweaters to work, because I still get too warm sometimes during the day, but I'm a lot more susceptible to the cold now than I've ever been.

Hi, Buffie. I'd love to offer advice, but I haven't gotten it all figured out yet, either. I'm sorry to hear that you're on strike, I'm betting we'll be doing that when our contract is up in 2009. I hope I can be as positive as you when it happens. anyway... EEEEWWWWWW!!!! I just ate part of one of the APEX Protein Cookies that came with my bugg. NASTY. It didn't even SMELL good to me.

I agree, since the bodybugg and the actitrainer have different features, we don't want people to get confused about which one does what.... I considered getting the actitrainer, but I just couldn't find anyone that had one that could tell me anything useful about it.

I'm liking all the charts and graphs on the site so far. It's way cool to SEE what you've done...

Ok, I got my bugg, got it activated, and I'm all set up! So far, it is showing a deficit of 600 calories, but since I didn't wear it all day, I'll take that with a grain of salt. But it does feel good!

Can I have one for Easter or Christmas? Wait, what were we talking about? LMAO!

's ok! Here's another question for you... I'm going out of town this coming weekend, and I won't have internet access. Will it keep my info until I come back, or what? I will have my laptop with me, but I don't think I want to pay the $40 they want for internet access while I'm there. I know I can find all this out for myself when I get home, but I'm just so excited, I could just about bust!

I just checked the tracking again, and it's been delivered!! 2 and a half hours to go! Is it easy to set up, and does it take very long?
