How have I missed this thread for 2 and a half months??? This is the first time I've seen it! LOL! I will stay on plan today because if I don't, I won't be able to get into my favorite pair of jeans by Christmas!

I wholeheartedly agree....the ones that make me craziest are the ones that go for 12 FEET OFF THE DAMN SCREEN, and you have to keep scrolling back and forth, back and forth just to read the post! THAT makes me want to gouge my eyes out. If you've never come across one of THOSE, consider yourself very lucky.

I don't care who you are, that right there is funny.

Well, I certainly didn't mean to offend, and I could care less about what the name IS, I just don't get the whole idea of naming ourselves, like we're part of some sort of club. The bible also does NOT teach that there will be no justice on earth, either. We aren't to just sit on our laurels and watch something like 9/11 happen and then not react. In Romans 13, which I won't quote here, you can read it for yourself, it makes reference to rulers bearing the sword in servitude to God. Ok, after this, I will respectfully bow out of this discussion on this particular thread because it's off topic. Well, that's not what I said, now, is it? We don't MEAN to sin, but we're human and humans are sinners by nature. There is no such thing as a sinless human being. I have a Catholic friend that thinks that she can do whatever she wants all week, because she'll go to confession and be absolved of her sins, only to go and do it again the next week. I don't believe that is true repentence, and it disturbs me deeply that she's missing the point.

Ring him again and let him know you simply cannot wait that long, there is no reason you should be in that much pain. You're in my prayers, Keep us updated...

!!!! I've been on LBT for quite a while, and I did read about the soft stop before banding, and then forgot all about it. After reading Wheetsin's response to this thread, I realized that I DO have a soft stop! I get to a certain point, and I do a little sigh. It's pretty subtle, so I have to pay attention, but WOW! Who'da thunk it?

Oh, that's when they have to do another surgery and they tighten your band. (I get this all the time from people who don't understand how adjustments work, even after I explain it's a needle stick....)

The bible teaches that we will be held accountable for our sins. Now, that isn't to say we aren't forgiven for them if we repent and ask for forgiveness, but it DOES NOT teach that forgiveness = no accountability. We must forgive, and then have faith that God is just (and He is) and that HE will then take on the job of punishing them. Look at it this way. You have 2 children and they have a fight, or whatever, and they do horrible things to each other. One of them when it's all over is sorry that it happened and the other is not. Should your repentent child be the one that decides the punishment for their sibling? No. That's just not the way it works. You, as the parent will punish the one who is not sorry to a greater degree. Right? Our Heavenly Father is the one who ultimately has the solitary right to vengeance. Give THAT to him, and find peace.

Statistically, men lose weight faster and easier than women. That being said, though.... WOW, Congratulations! I don't mean to take anything away from your accomplishment with that statement, it surely could not have been a cakewalk to do what you've done. Well done! 6.25 lbs a week is phenomenal, and I hope that no one else here thinks of themselves as a failure if they can't keep up with that kind of weight loss rate. Again, WOW!!!!

How many calories is in a half a cup of nails? iT won"t come up on calorie king"s websight, and i Can"t find the nutrishon facts on the pakage.

Bunny, I'm so sorry to hear you had to go through this! I'm glad they got it taken care of for you, finally! Look at it this way. The last 6 months, at least you haven't GAINED weight, which is what I'd be doing this very minute without my band! Look at this now as a brand new fresh start. Welcome back!

With my sis-in-law, they do gifts, and money. Mind you, not a lot of money, or a lot of gifts, but enough gifts for them to not feel jipped, and I think $100 each or so. Single mom with 2 kids=not a lot of cash, so she wants to make sure that both of her kids understand how to handle money, so they can/will be self sufficient when they're on their own. They are as different as night and day in some ways, for example, the girl (13) loves to spend as much money as she has, and will spend down to the last dime, but she is a bargain shopper. She knows how to make the most of her money. The boy (10) will spend a little, maybe 20% of it, and save the rest. I swear, that kid has more money in savings than I do! And he's always very reluctant to spend any money on anything he doesn't REALLY REALLY want. I don't know where he gets it, certainly not from this side of the family! LOL!
