Wow, I had no idea. I mean, I knew that a port infection could travel to the band, but I had no idea that the infection could cause an erosion. With all the scary MRSA around, it really gives a person pause when considering surgery.

Ug, those things get stuck in my teeth so bad, it's worse than taffy! I like benefiber better. No smell, no taste, and you can put it in anything.

Your body is going through sugar/carb withdrawl. It will go away, usually around the 3rd day or so. Hang in there, you're almost through it!

I don't have a band so don't shoot the messenger but so some searches about port infections before getting a new port." WTF????? Am I missing something? What the blue hell does a port infection have to do with band erosion???? This is the first time I've seen this mentioned ANYWHERE, so Please tell me where this poster is getting his/her information????

I am staying on plan today because I blew it yesterday.

Defend him if you must, but why hasn't he asked you to marry him? And him thinking that you don't "deserve" to be satisfied? Whatever. You already have my .02 worth. My DH says and does stupid stuff, too, once in a while, and hurts my feelings when he does them, but he's a good man, and I wouldn't trade him for anything. So I guess what I'm STILL saying is that IF it's time to go, recognize it as such and go. If it's not, slap him upside the head and tell him to go blow himself! You'll feel better.

Staying with him for the sake of a child is unfair to that child. I'm not saying that you need to leave him, or anything like that. What I AM saying is that IF IT IS time to leave him, you need to recognize that it is, and GO. The sooner the better. If he's worth having around, though, he will stop belittling you and treating you like a servant.

I'm staying on plan today because I had a migraine yesterday, and I think it was triggered by the food I ate. BAD Travelgirl!

I have a ProForm XP, and I love it. The main things to look for though are the weight limits, make sure it's rated to hold at least what you weigh RIGHT NOW, and the only other thing I'd say is to go to the store, and try them out. If it walks smoothly, you're more likely to use it.

Can a person jump on a trampoline when it's cold outside? I mean, does the jumping surface get brittle in the cold? Just wondering since we're just getting into winter here, and I would LOVE to get a trampoline....

Oh, my. I'm so sorry that you had to go through this awful day. And to have THAT many things happen to you all in one day. I doubt very much that you'll ever be able to look back on that and think it was funny. I'm finally to the point where I don't have to ask for a table in restaurants, I can sit in chairs with arms comfortably, and the last time I flew, I could breathe in the seat. And I still don't think any of the things that used to happen to me were ever funny. Going to a restaurant that had ONLY booths that were way too small, and having to sit there and have the table cut into me so bad that it was hard to breathe, much less eat.... This surgery is the very best thing that has ever happened in my life, and I hope that it blesses your life the way it's blessed mine.

Well, with the Thanksgiving holiday, it will likely not be here until Wednesday.
