Here's one I saw today: *Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts.* - Winston Churchill

SWEET! I click on "new posts" and this is the very first thing on the list! Liquids in = Liquids out. It will get better once you start adding food back into your diet. Hang in there, it's only temporary.
-
HA! I have a quote FRAMED hanging in my office: "Poor planning on your part does not necessarily constitute an automatic emergency on my part." Love it!:wink2:
-
Yeah, I never really think about how much time I really spend on here cruising the board for interesting reading, and a good laugh until the freaking site is down, and I CAN'T GET ON!!!
-
Yep, that sounds just about right.
-
And the whole world should cater to them. And RIGHT NOW. (Not dogging farmers here, just the ones who act like the world owes them something, especially when their own lack of planning causes the problem that they're trying to blame on someone else.)

OUCH, Nu-skin pain. I can SO relate. I keep it in my desk (the liquid, not the spray) for paper cuts, and it burns like FIRE, so I can't imagine putting it on an incision. BUT spraying it around the incision is a wonderful idea. Glad it worked for you!

Boo Boo Kitty, I was in fact trying to reply to YOUR pm from yesterday. 06/06/06.... Now that's sweet!

How about the farmer who waits until the wheat's ready to harvest and he needs to get in the field TODAY to even look at the tires on the combine. And then call and get all pissy about having to wait for a service call because there are 11 other farmers that did the same thing, only they managed to call first. Summer's comin'!
-
Oh, hon, that's nothing. I was on the site last night when it went offline. In the middle of answering a PM. I think it was around 11:00 or so. Then I started trying to get on as soon as I could get in front of a computer this morning.

Problems using the bathroom after 2nd fill!
travelgirl replied to hazE24's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
One of the first things I noticed after I was banded was that BEFORE, I would go a MINIMUM of 3 times a day, and now, it's maybe every other day. As long as you're not having to strain when you do need to go, you're fine. Less volume in = less volume out. Hope this helps! -
Oh, I should add that these aren't sports bras, but my friend couldn't find any good sports bras, but said she gets all the support she needs from these, even working out, so at her size, they must be pretty great!

Awww! Welcome to LBT, and soon to Bandland! When I read the thread title, I thought I was getting a spooky story, LOL!
-
LOL, You're not in north central Kansas, are you??? Surely it can't be the same tire store where my DH works, but it sure sounds like the same place! HA!
-
Damn it! I've tried to post twice, and lost both of them! Frigging Windows! I'll try one more time... You poor thing. I have a friend who has to go to a specialty shop for her bras, she is a 40LL. That is NO laughing matter, people! Anyway, the brand is Norvell, and the website is www.norvellbra.com, and by looking at their home page, it looks like you might be able to find a distributer close to you. Personally, I'm a B cup, even at my highest weight. Now, I'm still a B cup, and I'm thinking that I'll soon be able to just tuck them into my pants pockets, too. You are not alone.

LOL! That reminds me of a poster that used to be on here, I haven't seen her here in a while, her sig line said something like, "Just smear it on your ass, Carol, that's where it's going, anyway."

Bring a veggie tray and start a trend! I bet more people than you think would be on board with that.

WHEW! I must have missed that one.... I don't think you're too picky, because right up until the second I read your post on here about that thread, I kept trying to figure out a way to bitch about it without being too obvious about pointing a finger at anyone in particular. And now, reflecting, I think I know who else is being discussed here....do they happen to be a few lbs UNDER goal? (NO, NOT CHICKIE, someone else...) -
My DH has worked in a tire store (first as a gas station attendant, pumping gas) from the time he was 14 years old. He's 38 now. The bunch of guys he works with are just as Kat said, knowledgable, experienced, friendly, helpful....That's what they're paid for. The boss puts a lot of emphasis on that since we're in a very small town, and when you make someone mad, oh, boy, do you ever PAY..... The place he's at does service calls in our county, and in 8 surrounding counties, because of REPUTATION and word of mouth. So when I hear of people being such jerks to them, like the lady you had to deal with this morning, it really fires me up. They don't make enough money to take that $hit. Give 'em a break!

Anyone else a closet Weight Watcher?????
travelgirl replied to Debbydo's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I just started doing weight watchers. A friend of mine is a receptionist for them, and she got the startup pack for me since the only meetings available to me in my area are 30 miles from home, and 60 miles from where I work, so meetings just don't work for me, and I think their website is about useless. I did the at-home thing for awhile, and hated it. I do, however, do pretty well on WW when I'm being careful and counting my points, so I'm just doing it on my own, without meetings. I already see a nutritionist every 3 months when I have my diabetes and cholesterol labs done, so other than the weekly weigh in, I don't feel like I'm missing out on anything. Besides, there are several online forums for WW support, so I'll go there when I need advice. Or I can call my friend. -

I'm staying on plan today because I stayed on plan yesterday, and it felt pretty good. -

HEEYYY! No fair, I was banded a day before you, so that should give me supreme knowledge and authority, right?
