OK, went to pre op today. D Day is Thurs. I can still eat so true to form I'm eating! I'm excited but nervous. Mouring already for my food!!! sic, I know but you all know what I'm talking about. ` `Is there anyone else going to Tempe on Thurs.??? OK, I don't know what I'm thinking right now. God bless.

I'm glad I found this thread. I too "only have 60" to lose (this time) and I'm getting the band on Thurs.I'd like to talk with others with the lower bmi's too.Good luck to all.

I don't know why I can't figure out this tracker thing! Oh well, so I post without one. I have only told my daughter and a friend, both that have a band and of course, my husband. I feel the same way. ashamed of how many times I've lost and gained it all back. I don't want to hear "well if she'd just work out and stop eating she'd lose it". I can lose it, I just can't maintain it. Damn, Sure I wish I could but I need help and hopefully this is it. If you're an alcoholic you don't take that first drink. With a food addiction it's different. You have to eat. You have to take that first bite. You know, the people that don't understand why I can't "just do it" seem to be the ones with a cigerette in their mouth. You know, the ones that say they could quit if they want to?:ohmy:0

My husband is sick!!! Pray that I don't catch it. I DON"T want to postpone mine may 21 date. Grandson graduating tomorrow night. No, they didn't put me on a pre op. They didn't my friend either but did my daughter. They said it's your BMI? that determines that???

yes, I understand what you're saying very well. I get my band on the 21st. I too am so embarrassed. I have lost the weight more times than I care to count and always gain it back. I am either losing weight or gaining. Never maintaining. I have only told the people that MUST know. I don't know when or if I'll tell or not. They are doing a hiatel hernia repair at the same time so that's what I'm going in for. (yeah)

I'm on the other end of the age question. I just turned 65 and having my band done on May 21. After fighting my weight since grade school, I'm ready! I bet I've lost 1000 lbs and gained it back over the years. I'm only (about 60) overweight this time but on my way up. I decided to do this after my daughter did so well. I'm in Arizona. Let me hear from ya all.

Hi, I;m Sherry too. I'm having mine on May21. I don't live in Avondale but just off the freeway and Carefree hiway. Who did your surgery? How's it going?
