I agree with Slinky Jo, don't worry, stop looking at the scales and let your body adjust. Don't deprive yourself of anything, you need all food groups to lose it slowly and keep it off. Your body will try to retain all the fat in your food if your depriving yourself. Hadn't thought about the scales for a week and now my weight is moving again. Trying not to think about weight loss, just enjoying normal life......... it will happen before you know it. Remember: a watched pot never boils (or whatever the saying is!) x

Hey Odge, The scales will move, your body is just catching up with the immediate 6lb weight loss. It's happening to me too. I haven't loss even 100 grams in the last week since losing 7lb because my body is evening itself out. Stop weighing your self and maybe weigh in only once a week at the very most. Surely you haven't got 48lb to go? When we spoke on the phone, we were doing about the same x

Hey Odgemodge, How you feeling now? Losing anymore weight? If you're not sure, phone Steve or Wendy, they'll give you all the advise you need. You know i said i had full restriction........... well, i was really ill last week and just drank Water all week. Lost 7lbs, but now i,m not struggling to eat most things. It's weird, i can eat a normal meal ( in very small quantities) whereas i was really struggling before. Bizarre huh? Any ideas? x x

Hi everyone, Been offline for months now, but finally back and starting to lose weight again. I couldn't get a fill for a couple of years due to living in Saudi at the moment but managed to get to London last week for a 0.75ml fill which was unbelievable and has given me complete restriction! So in two weeks i have lost a stone and now have 28lbs to go. Does anyone have any comments on their experiences of full restriction? I'm not sure if it's too tight or the best routine to get into x

Oh and forget to mention that i have just joined a website called Nutracheck and in my first 7 days have lost 6 1/2 pounds. They take your stats, give you an online food diary, and tell you how many calories for the day. It's so easy and you make friends on there, get recipes and i love it. It is so motivational and the way i'm going, the site has my target weight obtained by September. Try it if you're like me and need new inspiration x

Hi Guys, Not been on for ages, cause moved to Saudi Arabia and lost track of everything! Back on now though. Got no restriction anymore, am still losing (with lots of willpower) but would like to get a fill soonest. Can anyone suggest anywhere, Dubai maybe, that i can get afill? I haven't had a fill for 18 months and there's loads of room left! x

Hey guys, long time no speak! How is everyone? Flirty how are you doing after surgery? Any pics yet? Bet you look fab! Well just weighed myself and another 10lbs down since i last logged on (not bad considering i had alot of cocktails in Bahrain a few weeks ago!!) So that's nearly me at my 3 stone point. I can't have any more fills until i get back from the maldives on the 20 Sept so the will power is just gonna have to keep me going x

Hey Mandy, Great weight loss chick! You're doing sooo well, 2.7 st is a fantastic achievement. To be honest, i dont think it's supposed to be easy tho, i'm sorry you're struggling but you're doing fab and so far along your journey already so don't lose hope, we've only been at it 2 months! I thought i'd find it more difficult to be honest, i've given up drinking for the forseeable future too because that way i'm not losing 2lbs and putting 1lb back on when i drink which is what i was doing for a month or so. I'm also eating off a side plate instead so i can't put too much on my plate. Today i had a bacon roll at a car boot sale and could only manage 2/3 of it before i had a feeling of burning in my throat and then fullness. Does anyone have a clue whether that's a kind of restriction? I also feel fuller for longer after less food, like i said yoday was 2/3 of a bacon roll, a cous cous snack pot and yoghurt and half a paella ready meal and have felt content all day............... if anyone can tell me whether that burning feeling is restriction or not i'd be really greatful. i've also noticed that since my third fill last week, i haven't had the same stuck feeling in my throat, food goes down fine now, just that burning when i've had enough, answers on a postcard! Let me know how your getting on Mand, take care x:thumbup:

Thanks Homecare and wishfull, Don't feel different yet really, my clothes are certainly looser but i'll probably notice a big difference with another stone off. The move is due next saturday, so i've been busy selling all my house stuff, nearly done now, can't take anything with me cause i'm moving in with my parents for a while before we get a villa allocated in Saudi, it's just a waiting game now! When's your next fill due? When we spoke at the clinic in Manchester, you said there weren't any clinics close for WLS. Is Preston too far? I've been to the Leeds and Sheffield clinics with WLS and find them brilliant. I won't have anymore fills until september now because i'm going to see Mark in Bahrain in 2 weeks and then off to the Maldives 3 weeks later so i don't want to be too tight! How's your weight loss going? I find that the easiest thing to do at the moment is eat 3 times a day, with prepared meals so for instance today i had an actimel and slimfast smoothie for breakfast, a cous cous pot for lunch and a weight watchers meal for tea. I'm averaging about 1000 calories a day and that seems to be working for me so far...... let me know how you're getting on chick x

Hey guys, long time no speak. Well it's been ages since i've been on to chat, but so much has gone on with moving home and everything...... How is everyone, Flirty, Wishfull, Mandyfielding etc etc? Since i last came online, i've had 2 more fills so that's 3 in total, i'm still on mushies for today and back on solids tommorrow but it seems to be going well, should have restriction soon i think. So far i've got 4.75 mils in the band and i do feel full quicker although i don't feel tight very often. It must be working though cause i just hit my 2 stone mark woop! x

Hey everyone, Not been on for a few days, been getting used to hubby being away and looking after the children and house on my own, it's not bad actually! Food is going fine, another 2lbs down today so that takes me to 18lbs altogether and then my first fill on Thursday, can't wait!! How is everyone? Flirty, how are the nerves holding up for surgery chick? Mandyfielding and wishfull, looking forward to seeing you both on Thursday, and to everyone else, keep up the good work, it's gr8 to see so many new bandsters on here, still being one myself x:thumbup:

Hey homecare, i went through Bridget for the op booking and uopn email confirmation, there were attachments included detailing a very brief description of the pre-op diet. I didn't hear from Frederick or Dr DB, from what Frederick said to us in Belgium, they're both extremely busy and take ages to read emails x

Thanks wishfull, that sounds promising enough for me! Well i best go, gonna spend the rest of the night with my hubby since i wont see him again for 3 months until we go to the maldives in september. I'm really gonna miss him although he's worse off than me having to leave behind our 10 yr old daughter Megan and our 4 month old daughter Evie. I'm just gonna have to throw myself into getting beautiful before i see him next!

Thanks wishfull, it's surprising how easy it is to stick to liquids and mushies when you're in the right frame of mind! Quick question if that's ok: when you have each fill, is it easy to lose anymore weight straight after or do you feel the same as before? Don't know if i'm making any sense but i'm so eager to get a good amount of weight off by september because my doctor said he'd refer me for a tummy tuck before i leave the RAF so fingers crossed! x

Cheers Flirty, Just phoned WLS and Colleen said that you can only get your first fill with them from 6 weeks and the £120 initial assessment and fill are included in the 6 month package price. Mandyfielding, the phone number for Colleen is 08007879029, i phoned her this morning and she rang me back within half an hour x

I might cancel my 6 month package for this reason: I've just received the paperwork from WLS and it seems all a bit expensive when i may not need it. Am i right in thinking that the initial assessment of £120 with WLS is not included in the 6 month package of £349? That's the way i read the paperwork today. Can anyone shed any light please. It all seems like a lot of money when i already paying for the first fill with Frederick, second fill with initial assessment and then if i only need 3 fills, i've only got one fill out of that £349 package! Does anyone have any advice for me? Do you think i should cancel and do them every 2 weeks paying as i go along? Thanks, T x
