  1. Happy 53rd Birthday beautifulbrenda!

  3. That is really good to hear. I do have a question though. I was banded in 2006 and have lost 120 lbs. The problem is that the band had slipped and now my stomach is obstructed according to the new surgeon I see. He wants to remove the band and then do the sleeve. I'm at 135 lbs. and am 5'8". I don't want to lose more weight or re-gain. Sounds like the sleeve would be the solution if I do everything that's required? :frown1:

That sounds just like me! This morning I feel like I have the worst case of the flu. My entire body aches. What did you finally do?
  5. Hello, everyone. I was banded 6/24/2006 and have lost 100 lbs. Over the last 2+ years, I've reached the 100 mark 3 times but have then begun suffering from GERD to the extent that I wake up every hour on the hour at night coughing, aspirating, and unable to catch my breath. I've had the band deflated twice; gained back 40 lbs. twice; and made it back down again, only to have the situation repeat itself. My surgeon doesn't seem to have a clue ... other than to fill or deflate. Has anybody else experienced this phenomenon???
