Hi all not been on here for a long time and its all changed .I had my band done with Dr Chris two years this June and it was the BEST thing I have ever done .Its not been a quick fix with the weight loss but it has been constant. and Iknow with all the stress ive been through marrage break up after 31years Iwould have puy on 4 or 5 stone were I am now 4stone12lbs lighter.There is a lot of food i can not eat but Dr Chris said this would be a possabilaty like no bread pasta or rice and no chicken beef or pork Ican eat a little bit of lamb some times and sasage. Can not eat sald or some veg like peas or carrots unless very well cooked. I eat a lot of fish cauiflour and brocalieand also some naughty things like crips and wine If i go out i will have a prawn curry or a carvary and i can eat mash and veg ican eat Ihave to eat slowley or i bring it back like other have said i an neaver hungry and can only have a coffee in the morning if im not working i will have porrage at about 11.30 but most days i dont eat untill my evening meal. I dont have my fills with Dr chris as i ment traveling from birmingham to london Iam with the WEIGHT LOSS SURGERY GROUP and Wendy there is fab she has given me so much support and the cost is very good the first year it was £379. for up to 12 fill but i liked the fact you can go and get weight and have a chat and ask any question you may have .Then the following year I had another 12 month plan were I can have up to 6 fills but still go every month for support and that was £275 There are WLS GROUPS all over the country and Iwould recomed Wendy to any one. So to close when Istarted Iwas in size 24 clothes and now i an in size 18 still pick up the bigger size first as i have been over weight all my life any questions please feel free to ask sue x

HI ALL not been on for ages but have been keeping an eye on you all you all seem to be doing realy well went to see wendy for what i thought would be my 3rd fill but as i had been on holiday and lost it was only 3lb in a month she did not want to give me a fill she said as i was still eating less and feeling full longer that the band was still working for me i was dissapointed but she knows best but i only have 4mls in my band when i went last time she was going to put 1.25mils but only put 1 ml in as she could feel resitance so she said it would be better for my band as its only a small band and even though it should take 7 mils she said most people only have 5-6 mils

:thumbup:Hi all meet Wendy yesterday she is really nice , told her you all speak well of her on her and she was pleased that the word is going round about her and said if any one out there is not happy with there fill provider or just wants some info to give her a call , she is going out to meet Dr Chris soon to see about doing packages with him too she said i have a small band it will only take about 7 1/2 mils and she put in 3 mils yesterday and i am going back to see her next month I have taken the 12 month package as it was on offer it cost me £ 530 plus my £30 deposit and the 6 months are on offer for £ 270 so they are great value at the moment she had to do me standing up as i have got a lot of scar tissue she said as i lose weight it should be easier to find the port so lets hope i start to lose some more weight but they were pleased with the 1 stone 8 lbs i have lost so far so fingers crossed xxsuefeexx:thumbup:

hi guys not been on for a while been very busy at work catching up with the extra time i had off as Dr Chris did not want me to do any heavy lifting for 3 weeks well i go for my 1st fill next Monday and cant wait i still cant eat bread or toast cakes or pastry which is a good thing or any meat so i have fish but not prawns which i love and quorn the weight loss has stopped at present which is a bit disheartening but reading your posts it will start again when i get my fills i have also had some kind of a bug all the aches and pain of flu and the high temperature and then the chills for the last 4 days today i am feeling better but its left me so tired i don't want to do anything and if any of you have read my other post Ive been feeling great and i have had so much energy scince my opp so i hope the feeling soon comes back well ill love and leave you and good luck to all going out to be banded xxsuefeexx

hi all well Ive done my first week back at work and all went well i was a bit tired the first day but scince having the band done i feel great don't know if its all in my head but I'm much better with food I'm eating much smaller portions and I'm not picking which was one of my bad habits i am also an emotional eater and i have had problems with one of my sons but i have not rushed to food this so maybe things are going my way for once i have lost 1st 6lbs so far and i was banded on the 3 June so its just over 3 weeks and wls are doing my fills in Birmingham and i have the first one on the 13 July so im looking forward to meeting the famous Wendy xxsuefeexx

hi all not been on for a while and its taken ages to catch up good luck to all you newbies who are waiting to be banded you are in great hands and well done to every one on there great weight losses I'm back to work tomorrow i have had a lot longer time off than most but i do quite a bit of lifting as i'm a dog groomer so Dr Chris said he would like me not to lift any heavy weights for 3 weeks .I'm 1 stone down now and feel great and i have my first fill on the 13 July with WLS Group .I went to vist a friend for a week she lives in saundersfoot she had a gastric bypass in November and has lost 8 stone but cant shift the last stone but she can eat more than me and different foods to me she is looking for a good surgeon to do her arms any of you know of one as its a big opp were she will be left with scars so she wants the best so i said i would ask you guys xxsuefeexx

hi all i have been on liquids for 10 days and today for lunch i had some of those dutch crisp bread like they gave us in hospital but as you say I've probably eat to much to fast as they do dissolve when you chew them and I've been uncomfortable most of the day so I'm going to leave the food alone until tomorrow i will just have a cup of tea and try again tomorrow thanks all xxsuefeexx

hi all its my 10th day post band today and so far I'm down 7lbs is that about right for lunch today i think i have over eaten as i have got such a pain its in my chest and goes up to my neck and it feels as if i want to do a big ( burp ) sorry but that's the only way i can explain it its also like the wind pain we got after the opp is the normal and it this what i will feel when i get restricion thanks xxsuefeexx

hi timeisnow dont no if its any help as i flew from birmingham with brussels air but i did check in on line and changed our seats and checked in a bag and we only had to be there half an hour before take off but it told us all the info when i checked in on line hope it helps

hi gastric band the majority of us stay at the campanile vilvoorde as its the closes i'm just looking at my bill as i can back last Friday and it cost 313.90 euro that was for 3 nights and hubby had 2 breakfasts

hi guys i emailed wls last night and Collen phoned me today and Ive taken out the 6 month package she did not mention anything about not doing it any more i have it on the 13 July I'm a week pot opp now and the stitches are driving me crazy itching cant wait to have then out i have not been able to eat much the last couple of days as it feels uncomfortable so I'm only having a tiny amount be other wise I'm great hope you all are well and good luck to all the ladies who are waiting to have the opp you wont need it as you are in great hands but i know from experience its really nice when new friends wish you well xxsuefeexx :ihih::thumbup:

hi shellyg i think i have passed on all my pre opp thoughts to you and honestly you will be fine 1 thing i will tell you so you don't get worrying like me and the others who had the opp ( we all said the same ) after they take you down theater you have to wait your turn so you are all lined up waiting with other people waiting for opp and that was the only time i felt like running away must go now talk later i'm of to see take that

hi home care I'm doing OK on liquids i have a Muller vitality for breakfast and soup for lunch and later ill have a yogurt or a small fromage frais and then soup again in the evening at the moment i can tell when Ive had enough i get a feeling like a lump in my throat so i stop and i drink as much water as i can as for the Anica my sister in law is a homeopathic doctor and as well as the bruising its great for getting over the anaesthetic i usually wake up crying but this time i was fine and i was telling Dr Chris not to start yet as i was not a sleep he said you are all done there was also a guy in the hotel who had a face lift and the hospital gave him Anica for his bruising as for how much to take i started 2 weeks before and took 2 tabs 2 x daily BUT do not touch with your hands put them in the lid xxsuefeexx

hi home care i feel i could go back to work now but as my job is with dogs i have a boarding kennels and i do grooming Dr Chris feels that we should not lift any thing heavy for 3 weeks so i am going to leave it for 2 weeks at least but i will go out of my mind with boredom i am a bit disappointed with the news that the wls group are not offering the 6 month package to new banders any more as they have a clinic in Birmingham very close to were i live so i might have to have the 12 month one and put it on my credit card without my hubby knowing he thought once i had my band it would be it ( typical man never listens ) thanks for all the good wishes its great to be a part of such a great big family xxsuefeexx :thumbup: :thumbup: :w00t: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup: :thumbup:

Hi all 4 days post opp and im feeling well just a bit ichie were the stiches are and i still have an upset tum but other wise in great form if i can help anyone with any qustions about anything just ask xxsuefeexx

HI ALL and thanks for all the good wishes HOMECARE i was very up and down like all of us before hand, but everything went smoothly they new at the hotel i was there for surgery when i booked in they told me Fredrick would be here to see me later which he did and explained what was going to happen and then he came to the room and took the money . i had to be at the hospital for 7am and the was allocated a room with another lady who was having the opp after the blood checks and cardio gram i went down at around 12.30 and i was back in recovery for 2.30 as there was a bit of a wait before i was took into the theater i was in recovery for 1 hour then went back to the ward stayed in bed until the next morning the nurse came to show me how o do my injections in my tummy which is easy when i was given some water a little later i was able to go to the loo at lunch i was given soup and crackers and tea then Dr Chris came to see us all who had been banded to give us all the info and a book after i had an x ray to see if all was well and then i had all the drips taken away and was discharged with a pack of stuff to take home if you wat to no anythig else please ask xxsuefeexx

HI all arrived back this morning not feeling too bad:thumbup: i have a bit of an upset tum from the stuff i had to drink for my x ray and I'm sore but manageable wind pains in the shoulders met some really nice people over there a lady from the isle of man two from Glasgow one had a tummy tuck and one from Ireland so now Ive got to get my fills sorted i was catching up on the post and i see wls are not doing the 6 month package does any one no why well that all from me at moment xxsuefeexx

Well ladies and gaz well this is it I'm off 2morrow:thumbup: my flights at 11.30am and i cant wait, still got the flutters in my tum but its all good to go. WHAT ARE VISITING HOURS AND WHEN DO WE GET DISCHARGED AS ALL IVE BEEN TOLD IS MY CONSULTATION TIME IS 8PM AT THE HOTEL AND I JUST WANT TO SORT THINGS OUT IN MY MIND SO I CAN TELL HUBBY WHEN TO COME AND AS HE HATES HOSPITALS MANY THANKS TO ANYONE WHO CAN ANSWER MY QUSTIONS XX XX SUEFEE XX :crying:
